Coming soon to BBC1 Torchwood Miracle Day

Coming Soon to BBC1 – Torchwood Miracle Day

From www.bbc.co.uk/programmes.co.uk

One day, nobody dies. All across the world, nobody dies. And then the next day, and the next, and the next, people keep ageing – they get hurt and sick – but they never die. The result: a population boom, overnight.

With all the extra people, resources are finite. It’s said that in four month’s time, the human race will cease to be viable. But this can’t be a natural event – someone’s got to be behind it. It’s a race against time as C.I.A. agent Rex Matheson investigates a global conspiracy. The answers lie within an old, secret British institute. As Rex keeps asking “What is Torchwood?” he’s drawn into a world of adventure, and a threat to change what it means to be human, forever.

At the moment Torchwood Miracle Day is not listed for broadcast on July 8th as per the USA – this could change however.

The cast including John Barrowman and Eve Myles will also be at comic-con…

STARZ will bring the casts of two of its most riveting original series, “Torchwood: Miracle Day” and “Spartacus: Vengeance” to 2011 San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 22nd, it was announced today. For “Torchwood: Miracle Day,” set to debut on STARZ, Friday, July 8th at 10pm ET/PT, the panel will feature: Torchwood alum John Barrowman (Capt. Jack Harkness), Eve Myles (Gwen Cooper), and new headliners Bill Pullman (Oswald Danes), Mekhi Phifer (Rex Matheson), Alexa Havins (Ester Drummand), Lauren Ambrose (Jilly Kitzinger) and writer Jane Espenson.

You can now download several wallpapers from the Starz site Here. (start date applies to the USA)

Please note the above countdown applies to the USA.

Finally ! I get to watch something before you lot!
This season of Torchwood may even be more “adult” than what has gone before, Starz is a cable network not adverse to nudity and mature language.
And if the trailers here are any indication, it will be awesome!

I think that it will end up being on Tuesdays at 9 starting on the 12th taking up the the Luther slot. But thats just what I think will happen.

Given the mount of financial backing, I would not be surprised if America get’s to see it first.

I don’t mind as we get Dr. Who before them.

*crosses fingers for it to be awesome*
