Doctor Who Series 7 Trailer / Screenshots

Doctor Who Series 7 Trailer

From The BBC…

We’ve been promised blockbuster episodes for the new series of Doctor Who… and the trailer released today shows just how blockbuster they’re going to be!

There’s a real epic quality to much of the trailer – we see majestic snowy plains, a terrifyingly vast array of Daleks, huge explosions, the Doctor and the Ponds plunging through an enormous tunnel of light and even dinosaurs on a spaceship! But it’s also great to get a glimpse of River Song and scary little moments like Rory and the stone cherub…

It seems as if Steven Moffat has finally learned from the mistake of the Power Ranger daleks and decided to accept the general supremacy of the RTD edition. I’ve got nothing against the paradigm lot but they could have at least made it a bit more serious.

I LOVE the look of this New Trailer! It is EXTREMELY EPIC whilst retaining that sence of FUN, HORROR and MYSTERY!
It is BY FAR the BETTER than the S7 Teaser Trailer released earlier in the Year.
Now here our my views on the Episodes so far!

Ep. 1: Asylum of the Daleks
This Episode certainly looks like a REALLY GOOD Series Opener and is setting the Stakes HIGH for the rest of the Series! The Sets look AWESOME and the Camera Angles, Shots and SFX are as always at their highest! The Storyline sounds EXCELLENT and I am looking forward to its release on (possibly) the 25th August!

Ep. 2: Dinosaurs on a Spaceship
Again this Episode looks AMAZING! Despite the Bad Reviews towards the Title I think it is very good and very Sci-Fi! The Acting is looking SPOT ON and I am very excited about it! (Plus, I LOVE DINOSAURS!)

Ep. 3: A Town Called Mercy
This Episode is a very Western Episode shot in Spain making it very different! It is said to feature an enemy known as The RECKONER who has been seen in the Trailers! It looks like a very interesting and Funny episode and I will look forward to its release!

    Ep. 4: Cubed (TBC)
So far there has not been much information and very few shots from the Episode. However the Episode sounds like it will be VERY GOOD and may feature UNIT!

    Ep. 5: (TBC)
The Final Adventure of the Ponds is with the Weeping Angels and is set in New York. The Angels have EVOLVED and will be Sad, Scary and revealing as the Ponds take their Final Journey with the Doctor. Get your Hankies ready!

      Amy’s not DEAD. She’s in episode 5.

I can’t get why some fans think she’s dead in the upcoming Asylum of the Daleks episode, which is episode 1, when we’ve known for months that she’s with Rory in episode 5 which is their last, how can most fan’s keep forgetting that ?.

I know I keep saying that I’m just responding to everyone else saying that she is dead. A wrote a comment similar to yours saying that she obviously can’t be dead because she is the next 4 episodes

Just a thought, but when the Doctor says to Rory “Who do you think ?” with an unconscious Amy in his arms, what if the Doctor is not referring to himself himself, but to AMY 😀

What if Amy ends up doing the same thing Rose herself did in the final episode of Series 1 – become the BAD WOLF ?.

Most likely not, as in that case, Rose turned the Daleks to dust, where as here they appear to be just empty destroyed casings, but you never know.

    The Bad Wolf is back, and this time it’s Rory’s misses 😀 . . . . . . . MAYBE 😉

On second thoughts, forget everything Ive just said written above, cos I’ve just realized that if Amy did become the Bad Wolf, then it would mean the Doctor would have to kiss Amy in order to remove the energy of the Time Vortex from her body and then regenerate into the 12th Doctor.

Just forget what I wrote then.

Theory for Asylum of the Daleks

The New Paradigm Daleks have been rebuilding since Victory of the Daleks, but they are not the only ones. Not one ship, but two survived their encounter with the Doctor. Whilst the ship the Doctor encountered created the Paradigm Daleks, the other ship simply started mass producing themselves. Neither side was aware of each other until shortly before Asylum of the Daleks. As the Bronze Daleks realise that the Paradigms and pure they are willing to obey them. However the Paradigms realise it is pointless and stupid to kill the Bronze Daleks, as they have managed to create themselves in far greater numbers than the Paradigm’s have. So they decide to make them a part of their empire.

The Paradigms decide that their empire will actually consist of mainly Bronze Daleks as the drones, and all the Paradigm Daleks will form an elite order, with the red drones taking charge of every invasion etc.

They kidnap the Doctor and put him on trial. They find him guilty and decide to send him down to their “Asylum” where at least one of every single form of Dalek were buried for safekeeping, during the Time War.

When the Doctor arrives, they wake up all the entombed Daleks, and the Doctor and his friends are pursued across the planet by the Daleks from the tomb. (The classics) Whilst this is going on, the Paradigm/Bronze army watch for their own amusement.

However, being the Doctor, he finds a way to escape, killing the Daleks on the Asylum and getting back to the Tardis. The Paradigm/Bronze army watch in fury as he escapes them yet again.

P.S: I HATE the Paradigm Daleks, which is why my theory has the bronze Daleks becoming the most common form of Dalek.

i know i am very picky, but i dont like the way rory asked who killed all the daleks, and the doctor repliees who do you think, because then it most likely rules out rory, and because amy looks bad she may have done something that has damaged her, the doctor is the obvious choice, but it may be the daleks because of i dont know, emotions and that!

Finlay – I would not say that looks like a 60’s style gun, looks more like something new, perhaps something that allows the 2 Daleks seen in the picture to electrocute the Doctor and his companions if they do not cooperate.

      August 2nd, 2012 - 7:31pm

thats close to my idea. This is my one.
The doctor takes amy and rory on a trip for christmas. The paradigm daleks have gathered together the remaining 2005 daleks (remember the 2005 daleks are willing to serve them)and create a dalek court. The doctor is lured in by a trap. The doctor gets confused as to why the daleks would put him on trial rather than kill him right now. He gets mad and the daleks exile him to “the dalek asylum”. This asylum is where they put all the old daleks they find and any that have gone insane. The asylum is actually the ENTIRE PLANET which the daleks invaded (the snowy planet in the trailer). The daleks are stored underground in tombs and the daleks belive that if the doctor goes there, he will be outnumbered and die painfully. The Doctor, Amy and Rory are seperated when they are beamed down and amy finds a surviver (the explorer). The daleks spy on the doctor using the dalek eyestalk from the first trailer. The doctor enters the asylum and is nearly killed however the inprisoned daleks agree to work with him to kill the daleks that trapped them in the asylum. Then Rory enters the asylum and looks for the doctor and finds him. The new daleks find out about this rebellion and send the 2005 daleks down to stop it. War breaks out. The Doctor and Rory are separated in the madness. Eventually amy and the survivor are shot but Amy survives, gets angry and finds a way to blow up all the daleks in the asylum. The new daleks quickly escape and leave before the doctor can stop them. The doctor is worried about the daleks still being out there but Amy and Rory continue traveling with The Doctor.
Hope you like it. what do you think Booboo?

Sorry mate, fraid I don’t agree with your theory.

The classic Daleks wouldn’t go to war against the 2010 Paradigm Daleks, cos both versions have pure Dalek DNA.

The Daleks seen in the series 4 finale and Victory of the Daleks where all created using Davros’s own DNA [not pure Dalek] and so in Victory of the Dalek, the 2010 Paradigm Daleks destroyed the last 3 Davros created Daleks cos they where not pure Daleks.

It would appear that in the upcoming Asylum of the Daleks, the new Time War Daleks are pure Daleks, otherwise we would be seeing them fighting against the new 2010 Paradigm Daleks or allowing themselves to be destroyed just like the 3 that allowed themselves willing to die in Victory of the Daleks because of their impurity.

Well Steven Moffat did say “Not everyone will make it out alive, and I mean it this time, and no new series companion really has died yet, so it feels right to have a companion die for real [thou now I think about it, the new series actually has had a companion die for real, River Song in ‘Silence in the Library / Forest of the Dead’, as she does seem to be regarded as a companion, even if she is one that just turnes up from time to time and has her encounters with the Doctor back to front].

    • Chris

      August 2nd, 2012 - 3:47pm

But surely she’s too well liked by the fans to be killed off. I believe/would prefer if Rory died but I have a feeling it may be River.

    • Proffesor When

I think Rory will die. He is always underestimsted and ignored, so it would be a real tear-jerker if he was killed. Plus, river has already died (Forest of the Dead)

    • Jason doctorwhoone

      August 2nd, 2012 - 5:40pm

No they can’t kill off River [sadly :(], cos you have to remember her encounters with the Doctor are back to front, and that she will eventually die in series 4’s ‘Silence in the Library / Forest of the Dead’.

    • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

      August 2nd, 2012 - 9:19pm

I have a hunch that Amy and Rory will die, they were filming in a graveyard. if they die then it will make it more rememberable, like when Rose left. now that was bad. or they much just get touched by an angel, but the thing with these trailers, they show someone dead or dying, but then earlier in the trailer they show them alive in another costume, or in other words, another episode, so you don’t get many surprises with that kind of thing
