i want to find out more about river and that cradle in one of his tardis room and did you notice that clara had a rose in her hair in the first episode of her’s. Also their seem to always be roses in vases through out each episode. so MAYBE Clara is Rose and thats why she keeps coming back. Or if anyone remembers Rose said her mum was having a mother baby which could be Clara?

let me know what you think

the doctor has a brilliant plan to go into the painting and tell someone from unit to put it in the black archive (where kate stewart is) so that when time is restored all 3 doctors turn around damage a dalek with the subsequent temporal dicplacement ring placed inside each screwdriver sending the dalek flying back throuh the painting crossisng the barriers of time its self in result destroying it.

Isnt matt smith the 12th doctor and the 12th regeneration because hartnell is the first and he used his first regeneration to turn in to patrick troughton. (1st regeneration)
patrick regenerated into john pertwee. (2nd regeneration)
john regenerated into tom baker. (3rd regeneration)
tom regenerated into peter davidson. (4th regeneration)
peter regenerated into colin baker (5th regeneration)
colin regenerated into sylvester mcCoy (6th regeneration)
sylvester regenerated into paul mcGann (7th regeneration)
paul regenerated into john hurt (8th regeneration)
hurt regenerated into christopher eccleston (9th regeneration)
christopher regenerated into david tennant (10th regeneration)
david regenerated into himslef (11th regeneration)
and then david regenerated into matt smith(12th regeneration)
so doesnt that mean that he has one more regeneration left so he can regenerate into peter capaldi?

It’s Jon Pertwee, not John Pertwee 🙂

And no, despite some recent rubbish I read online, the 10th Doctor did not regenerate into himself, all he basicly did was use his regeneration energy to heal himself and then placed the regeneration energy into the chopped off hand that became the human 10th Doctor before he could have actually regenerated, so that time in series 4’s finale does not count despite what anyone else might tell you.

The 10th Doctor’s real regeneration happened in ‘The End of Time’.

But then that means that he has 2 more regeneration left 1 to turn into peter Capaldi an one more left. So why is everyone saying that he won’t be able to turn into peter because he has to regenerations left?

    • Sohaib Ahmed

      December 4th, 2013 - 1:31pm

And technically he did regenerate he just used his hand to look the same and not change his appearance. It isn’t just healing he used one of his regenerations to heal. He was meant to change appearence but he used his copped hand to keep it the same.

He is allowed 12 regenerations, which gives him 13 bodies. So:
      1. William Hartnell/Richard Hurndall (An Unearthly Child – The Tenth Planet)
      2. Patrick Troughton (The Tenth Planet – The War Games)
      3. Jon Pertwee (Spearhead from Space – Planet of the Spiders)
      4. Tom Baker (Planet of the Spiders – Logopolis)
      5. Peter Davison (Logopolis – The Caves of Androzani)
      6. Colin Baker (The Caves of Androzani – Time and the Rani)
      7. Sylvester McCoy (Time and the Rani – Doctor Who)
      8. Paul McGann (Doctor Who – Night of the Doctor)
      9. John Hurt (Night of the Doctor – Day of the Doctor)
      10. Christopher Eccleston (Day of the Doctor – The Parting of the Ways)
      11. David Tennant (The Parting of the Ways – The End of Time)
      12. Matt Smith (The End of Time – The Time of the Doctor)
      13. Peter Capaldi (The Time of the Doctor – ? )

Tennant-Tennant was not a proper regeneration as the “Changing of every cell in the body” was not applied, and it was similar to his Healing of River in The Angels Take Manhattan (That didn’t cost him a regeneration – did it?)

All clear fact based on what’s been seen in the TV series. So there.

Okay thanks for clearing that up I thought that each time lord has 13 regenerations but they have 13 bodies and 12 regenerations

    • Tydeus

      December 4th, 2013 - 7:59pm

      @Doctor Who One:

“Jon” Pertwee’s real name is John Pertwee.

      @sohaib ahmed:

Steven Moffat recently said that everyone as already miscounted how many regenerations the Doctor as already had, so that could mean anything by now. Time Lords are said to only have 12 regenerations equalling 13 Doctors. Capaldi will be the 13th Doctor but it could be said that Matt Smith is actually the 13th Doctor if you include the meta-crisis Doctor.

We all know the Doctor “apparently” dies on Trenzalore so perhaps he does die for real only to be restored in a new set of regenerations with Capaldi being the first?

The fact is that quotes get messed around, and “could be”‘s and “is”‘s are mixed up, and some quotes are completely made up, and never forgetting Rule One: The Moff-tor lies, it’s best just to take things as they’re revealed in OFFICIAL, CANONICAL Doctor Who direct from BBC or Big Finish stories.

      December 5th, 2013 - 12:46pm

But I thought Time Lords in general have limitless regenerations while The Doctor is supposedly half human, he gets less. Same thing with River, half human, used all her regenerations to save The Tenth…and was it THe Fourth whom said he was already on his 4th regeneration, really making him the fifth? Making it possible for John Hurt to REALLY be The Original Doctor?

    • DOCTOR WHO ONE

      December 5th, 2013 - 4:11pm

Tydeus – I do know that, he removed the ‘H’ in his name after noticing it spelt as ‘Jon’ on a film poster for a film he did before Doctor Who, I’m just saying that to us, it’s ‘Jon’ not ‘John’.

It now seems clear that Moffat added the fogotten War Doctor incarnation and has been referring to the meta-crises Doctor as a used up regeneration so that it makes Matt Smiths Doctor the final incarnation so Moffat gets to deal with the issue of the limited TimeLord lives….if this is the case this implies that Peter Capaldi’s Doctor is the first incarnation of an extended or renewed life cycle set….which is all well and good except that in this case during the multi Doctor/TARDIS scene in Day of the Doctor why was it just “all13 Doctors” and not 26 or 39 or 107…..I’d prefer if the regeneration energy used to create the meta crisis Doctor didn’t count towards the number of lives but I suspect this is going to be the case.

It depends on how long it is.

      30 mins (I doubt it) = until 8:00
      45 mins (maybe) = until 8:15
      60 mins (maybe) = until 8:30
      75 mins (unlikely) = until 8:45
      90 mins (probably not) = until 9:00
      105 mins (I doubt it) = until 9:15

Im sure they wont go past 9:00
Anyone know how long it will be? Most specials seem to be about an hour.

It’s still really iterated me that a dalek died by falling through a painting in the 50th I mean anyone else got a explanation on why it died? Surly a fall through a painting can’t kill a dalek!!!? >:(

The Dalek didn’t die falling through the painting, it was killed by the Tardis when it hit it through the painting. 🙂

    • DALEKSKITTLES

      December 3rd, 2013 - 7:48pm

It hit the tardis!? I know John hurts doctor flew the tardis into a load of daleks but I didn’t see it hit a tardis when falling through the painting?

    • 100000BC

      December 3rd, 2013 - 7:50pm

I think it was the sonics.

    • DALEKSKITTLES

      December 3rd, 2013 - 7:52pm

I just watched it and realised the daleks head is lower than it should be, so like in asylum of the daleks, the sonic could effect it, which could if broken the dalek more causing it to fall apart?

    • DALEKSKITTLES

      December 3rd, 2013 - 7:54pm

*daleks head is lower than it should be, which could mean it’s damaged*

    • Defender of Trenzalore

      December 3rd, 2013 - 8:00pm

Maybe the sonics, then the energy of being forced through the painting and the subsequent crash combined to finish it off!
If you think about it The Doctor’s and the Zygons entered then left the painting, but the dalek was painted/captured in it all the time, so maybe it was not meant to leave it at all and so being forced out of it is enough to kill it
      Just a suggestion!
      😉
