Series 10 Episode 4 Knock Knock 7.20PM Saturday 6 May

Knock Knock. Written by Mike Bartlett and directed by Bill Anderson.

Bill is moving in with some friends and they’ve found the perfect house – so what if it’s strangely cheap to rent, and the landlord is a little creepy?

The wind blows, the floorboards creak, and the Doctor thinks something is very wrong. What lurks in the strange tower at the heart of the building – and why can’t they find any way to enter it?

The Doctor is played by Peter Capaldi, Bill by Pearl Mackie and Nardole by Matt Lucas. David Suchet guest stars at the Landlord.

Please note: a special binaural audio edition of this episode will be available on BBC iPlayer immediately after it is broadcast on TV. This creates a 3D surround sound effect for anyone wearing headphones, placing them at the heart of the action in this nail-biting episode

Have you seen the picture. For some reason i think its either 9 or 12 bill is walking with. But the first time it looks like 9 and if you look for 2 mins it looks like 12. It might just be me though

Ok inspired by poirot when I was rewatching smile on the dials in the engine room the name reads Fleishman which is German for butcher, in DWM it mentions about Saint Luke being amongst other things the patron saint of butchers, is this a Agatha Christie style mystery or me just reading to much into things….

Indeed. Earlier than we expected. Probably is John Simm’s Master then. Oh well.

Good interview with David Suchet in the latest ‘Radio Times’. He went to drama school with Colin Baker. David Suchet says “Poor unsung Colin was at the wrong place and time, with a perfectly good interpretation the public didn’t respond to.”
I can’t help but agree with David Suchet’s comments.

Me too. I’m really glad that Big Finish exists and that Colin Baker has had a chance to flesh his character out and play it the way he wanted. They have even given him a regeneration scene!

Indeed. Colin Baker is superb in the audios. I even liked him in the tv series. He has a great voice too. Perfect for audio. ‘Big Finish’ have served him well.

Nice. Did anyone else notice the metallic sort of noise whilst knocking in the vault I personally think it’s the Cybermen because if it was the master. Wouldn’t the master of said something to nardole whilst he was talking? and the master doesn’t have any metallic sound on him.
Also so far all the episodes have like started following on from the ending of the previous episode. So I wonder will this one be started with where thin ice ended with Nardole by the vault. Or will it continue from when the doctor/bill were in the University or will It not? What do you think.

Another thing is I thought bill already had her house (As seen in Pilot with the shower water running scence) So what does it mean that the next episodes to do with her house? Is she like moving house or ?

the house in the pilot was shared with her foster mum. Apparently in this one she’s getting a shared house with a few other friends. as everyone moves on in life as they get older.
I don’t reckon this one will carry on but who knows.

Vault Theory: The Time Lords instructed the Doctor to guard the vault (explaining the Gallifreyan text). Perhaps the Master is inside, which makes sense because John Simm Master was last on Gallifreyan with the Time Lords. Once the Vault is open and what/who ever is inside gets out, the Time Lords will punish the Doctor, forcing him to regenerate.
Probably completely wrong but I’m theorising.

But there was a metalic/mechanical noise with the knocking plus most sets of knocking were three knocks the last one seems like it was cut off so what if Moffats doing a trick to make you think it’s the master when it’s not. I personally think its the Cybermen. Because if it was the master the master would of said something to nardole whilst he was talking.

Well this looks freaky as hell. Walls and trees that absorb people, a weird looking Weeping Angel/tree looking person and a house from a much darker version of Scooby-Doo.

Although i dont get why the title changed to Knock Knock from the original title of The Haunted Hub.

I honestly can’t wait. Poirot was a really good show and Suchet is an amazing actor. Can’t wait! Hopefully my hype won’t be in vain.
