Doctor Who Live will be happening in nine cities across the UK on 25 dates from 8 October – you really don’t want to miss it

Voting is now open for the National Television Awards.

Doctor Who has been nominated for Best Drama with Matt Smith and Karen Gillen nominated for Best Drama performance.

Doctor Who is one of 33 nominees in its category whilst 50 nominees are up for best Drama performance.

All votes must be in by one minute to midnight on Monday 11 October and Winners will be announced at the ceremony on ITV1 in January 2011

Doctor Who Live Is A Sequel To “Carnival Of Monsters”

“SFX is hot off the phone from an interview with Doctor Who Live director Will Brenton who confirmed to us what some fans had already suspected (fans putting two and two together and coming up with four? What is the world coming to?): the story behind the spectacular stage show that tours the UK later this year is a sequel to the 1973 Jon Pertwee Doctor Who story, “The Carnival Of Monsters”. Of sorts anyway.”

The BBC and Steven Moffat have announced today that the transmission of the next series of Doctor Who, in 2011, will be split into two blocks, transmitting in spring and autumn.

Steven Moffat said: “The split series is hugely exciting because viewers will be treated to two premieres, two finales and more event episodes. For the kids it will never be more than a few months to the next Doctor Who! Easter, Autumn, Christmas!!”

Matt Smith and Karen Gillan appeared on the One Show today which included an image of the Christmas special with Matt Smith standing outside the Tardis with it snowing.

The title of the next Adventure Game has been confirmed as TARDIS and it’s released on Friday, 27 August.

It will feature monsters, terrifying new dangers for the Doctor and Amy and offers an amazing insight into the world’s most famous blue box. It’s also been announced that the game will give players the opportunity to pilot the Doctor’s iconic time machine.

It’s the third Adventure Game and will be available at no extra cost to UK households, simultaneously on PC and Mac from this site. Users outside the UK will be able to purchase and download it on its UK release date, 27 August.
