Ratings tend to drop mid series anyway. Silence in the Library in Series 4 got 6.2 million – a lot less than this! They usually pick up again towards the finale.

I’m really surprised some people are complaining about the ratings. They should check out the ratings for the past 4 seasons many episodes barely scraped 7 million and were considered excellent. Both critically and rating wise this is so far the most successful season since its relaunch. If you’re not enjoying it stop watching and then complaining on fansites obviously the pointless bgt is more for you!!!!!!!

With time shifts the ratings are excellent, they keep messing with the time which wouldn’t have helped with this set

Funny thing is I kinda like last nights show.. there wasn’t any thing for Moffat to ruin. Again the Rating are dropping… Couldn’t even use the Angels for 2 episodes to get a decent Ratings jump.

Earlier time slot wouldn’t have helped plus judging form the huge timeshifts viewing habits are changing, the rating are very good so far.

wait until the final ratings get published, they are as great as the previous series so there, no need to reboot.
