What did You Think of Class Episode 2?
Following the tragic events at the Prom, a devastated Ram isolates himself from the other three as he struggles with his new reality. Desperate to hold himself together on the football pitch, when he thinks he witnesses someone getting skinned alive he’s convinced he’s cracking up.
But when Tanya, Charlie and April are all confronted with the same thing: a horrific, monstrous, skin-peeling dragon, they know that they’re under attack. The gang must pull together to fight against the monster, and try to keep Coal Hill safe.
Class is available to order on DVD or blu-ray from www.amazon.co.uk

October 24th, 2016 - 5:28pmTheory for episode 3+ (this is only speculation, but if your sensitive about spoiler, don’t read further) the new principal to replac ethe last one (RIP) will be in some way involved with the governers, then again, thats quite pradictable.
Instead he may be presented as such, acting strangely, lurking around miss quill etc) but it will be clarified in the finale he/she has nothing to do with them
Its not a major theory, but I thought I’d share it.

October 24th, 2016 - 9:51amI get to be smug now. I said all this show needed was a chance, and I was so right 😀
The Dalek Whovian
October 24th, 2016 - 11:09amTrue. But to be honest the BBC could have advertised this show so much better than they had, then there would not have been so many arguments about it. But the older fans are properly a bit annoyed due to not much being given to them this year. Class is aimed at the younger fans so I don’t think it will appeal to older fans. But now that it is out I think we can enjoy Class for what it is

October 24th, 2016 - 7:29amHow can i watch class outside of the uk??
T4RD1S
October 25th, 2016 - 1:26amThis could be illegal, but a lot of people do it, and usually teenagers use them for blocked websites when in school/university/college, but you can use a proxy. I think there’s this app where you can go on websites blocked in your country aswell, but I’m pretty sure they are/will be on Dailymotion, and they will air on BBC1 later at some point, and there are DVDs and Blu-Rays coming later this year

October 23rd, 2016 - 9:40pmI know its only been two episodes, but I think miss quill has already been cemented in my mind as one of my favourite whoniverse characters to date, her attitude and one-liners, I just flipppin’ love her!!!
The Dalek Whovian
October 23rd, 2016 - 7:11pmWatching this was like watching the maggot scenes from Green Death all over again. And I loved and hated every second of it

October 23rd, 2016 - 5:59pmThis show feels like a mixture of Primeval and the x files… I like it
The Living Shadow
October 28th, 2016 - 9:47pmYess! I was thinking it was a little like Primeval, with the tear, like the anomalies in primeval, spewing creatures from it, and a small team of characters being thrown together in order to save everyone from the creatures!

October 23rd, 2016 - 1:48pmMINOR SPOILERS:
I just noticed how on the Coal Hill School sign from DOTD, Ian is credited as Chairman of the Governors, maybe the same Governors that are mentioned in this episode?
100,000BC
October 24th, 2016 - 11:01amClearly Ian is the chairman of the school governors, and I don’t think that the school governors would have made that robot.
Could be some strange sort of link though, who knows?

October 23rd, 2016 - 10:28amDoes anyone know what the song from the title sequence is called? It might be really obvious and I’m missing it, but I can’t find it anywhere.

October 23rd, 2016 - 12:41pmIt’s called Up All Night by Alex Clare

October 23rd, 2016 - 6:35pmI found out and listened to it the day before and found it really catchy, so I had it stuck in my head for 2 days in a row!

October 23rd, 2016 - 1:06amHello? Is that my fandom calling? It’s back…
Well, that was a lot of blood. This one fealt very X-Filesy. An alien skinning people alive with a guy (SPOILER ALERT) finishing the job. Sure. Why not. Best line of the episode was definitely the headmaster saying “He’s from Ofsted, of course he’s evil”
Couldn’t agree more…

October 23rd, 2016 - 12:44pmI love it!
Now I can watch something, till the Christmas Special! 😀

October 23rd, 2016 - 12:21amI loved the song beforehand so was very pleased to hear it in the series. I think it fits quite nicely with the premise:
“I’ve been wasting all my time – watching my youth slip away surely is a crime… she don’t know what we do in our spare time. No, she don’t know that we been up all night. We go on and on, and don’t know where we’re gonna end up in the morning.”
The visuals themselves are OK I guess, they have a cool neon thing going on. 🙂

October 22nd, 2016 - 9:28pmI freely admit i did not think this would be “my sort of thing” but thoroughly enjoyed both episodes
was surprised at the amount gore but i think we may have got used to hostile aliens killing people to nicely
really looking forward to the rest of the series now

October 22nd, 2016 - 8:30pmI really enjoyed it but hope that little kids didn’t watch it as it was gory as hell – like really horrifying! I prefer the first episode but they were both really good!

October 22nd, 2016 - 10:28pmMy only complaint is that I really liked the Head Teacher as a character but he got skinned alive, I suppose I’m just used to nobody dying in Doctor Who! 🙁
Cyberlord
October 23rd, 2016 - 12:49amI completely agree, I loved the show, I was annoyed and sad that they killed off the only present character who had been in doctor who. Great episode tho. I hope that they include more characters from DW as at least cameos.
The Living Shadow
October 28th, 2016 - 10:00pmI was upset about them killing off the head teacher too. I liked him!!! :'(

October 22nd, 2016 - 7:54pmHow do you mean?

October 22nd, 2016 - 8:38pmI think they took the gore WAY too far. People getting skinned alive? I feel like I want to vomit.
Also, I just don’t find the characters interesting. Very 2 dimensional. But I am pleased that some people are liking it. I’m just more of a classic Who guy.
thewhoman
October 23rd, 2016 - 12:27am‘Im more of a classic who guy’ pretty much sums up that comment.
The Living Shadow
October 28th, 2016 - 9:58pmI personally think that the gore didn’t go to far at all. They didn’t show any of the skinnings, and even the aftermath of the skinnings were only shown out of focus, or flashing onscreen for about half a second!
Not that I’m complaining. In fact I think it was the perfect amount. Enough to shock the viewer, yet not so much that it got repetitive, and unpleasant to watch.

October 22nd, 2016 - 3:38pmLoved this! Miss Quill and Charley are brilliant! Great job on getting Katherine Kelly and Greg Austin in on this BBC! I like the more mature side and how it is mixed with the humour, each element doesn’t feel over or understated and instead the gore/maturity and humour compliment each other nicely.

October 23rd, 2016 - 9:49pmIts Charlie not Charley. ley is the female spelling
Exterminator
October 22nd, 2016 - 3:29pmI liked the people being skinned alive and nudity but I couldn’t help but think where are the police or even bring back Torchwood? Won’t somebody notice loads of students and staff being killed?
I like Miss Quill and I can see a very nice story arc in making with who are the governors?
This would’ve been a perfect series for the 3 kids that were in the SJA to get involved in.
Anonymous
October 22nd, 2016 - 3:45pmAs they said, Coal Hill has the habit of blocking stuff out like that given the high body count.
Bringing in the SJA team is about the worst thing they could do. The show needs its own identity, not to be as a knock off version of another show.
DoctorSong2016
October 22nd, 2016 - 8:24pmI do kind of wish that Rani would turn up as a teacher in the series…
JA
October 23rd, 2016 - 12:48amYeah the kids from SJA should all be in there 20s by now, but I agree the show needs to find its own identity with fresh new characters.

October 23rd, 2016 - 9:42pmWell, a cameo or two here and there couldn’t hurt, surely…
