What Did You Think of Night Terrors ?

What Did You Think of Night Terrors ?

After the summer break Doctor Who is back on our screens with the second episode, Night Terrors. What did you think -was it one of the best stories yet or just not as good as you had hoped.

I really enjoyed this episode.I liked the dolls and would have like to see more of them,as the only criticism was that that last 10 mins or so seemed rather rushed.I like the simple storyline of the most scariest place in the universe is a childs bedroom!

i think the dolls should return next seires or on christmas because it was a great ep so the dolls should teleport to a different place and suprise the doctor and turn the doctor into a doll so amy and rory have to do it there selves but then rory gets turned into a solder doll just like the doctor so it is up to amy to save them . whilst the dolls get closer and alex and gorge and claire return amy gets weaker and weaker until she dies and turns to dust so it is up to Alex, gorge and Claire to reverse it

I thought I would have been better off to miss this particular story, because it’s written by Mark Gatiss, and none of his Dr Who writing seems to manage being made into a good episode.

I knew it would be a let-down in some way, just like the Unquiet Dead and Victory of the Daleks both were, for me. I mean, I almost HATED Dr Who Series in 2010 because of how much that episode annoyed me. I couldn’t risk going through that again. :cry 🙁

Night terrors 10/10 great to be back in a location like modern day flats and glad that because it was modern day there wasn’t end of the world laser zap zap invasion like every rtd series finale. Matt Smith said River Song was at the end of episode 9 in a small appearance. But she wasnt there unless…

Tick tock goes the clock, all the years they flow. Tick tock and all too soon you and I must die. Tick tock goes the clock, he cradled and he rocked her. Tick tock goes the clock even for the Doctor.

Well at least it was better than the first episode…

i purposely watched this at 11pm at night, i have to admit i wa quite freaked, but at the end of the episode, just after when amy was transformed which i was quite shocked at, i thought that was 20 mins in the ep, the doctor didn’t even know she was a dolly, they spent too much time on wierd things happening like the man getting swallowed by the floor, there should have been more dolls in there. When the man turned into a doll, i think that was quite scary for young kids, i know i say that all the time, but i looked away!! i was expecting a bit more from it overall.

This is probably one of the creepiest things I’ve ever seen go out before the 9pm Watershed…in fact it was creepier than a lot of things that go out after 9pm!

A wonderfully dark episode and a nice stand alone episode which give our brains time to recover from the ongoing timey wimey arc of this series (which I love…but it hurts trying to figure it out sometimes ;)) I think this may have benefited from another 15 minutes – seemed a little rushed in places…but a nice 3.5/5 for this.

Agreed, probably. I mean, me being me, I purposefully denied myself watching this episode (atleast until I get the DVD boxsets). Because ? Well, because I wanted to.
