May 21st, 2017 - 11:37pmUnfortunately I have to watch on BBCAmerica and there are so many commercials the story is completely ruined!

May 22nd, 2017 - 7:30amThat is clearly an issue with a ‘timey wimey’ Moffat script. They are difficult to follow at the best of times, this clearly wouldn’t be helped with ad breaks inserted as well!

May 22nd, 2017 - 11:46amAbsolutely!!!!

May 22nd, 2017 - 3:20pmI feel so bad for American viewers because Doctor Who isn’t filmed with adverts in mind so there’s never a natural stopping point for an ad break to be inserted. It must be so clunky to watch if you’re in America

May 24th, 2017 - 10:14amSee if you can get a VPN and ‘pretend’ you are in the UK. This will allow you to watch BBC IPlayer and no ads!

May 21st, 2017 - 9:51pmA lot of split decisions on whether this was a good one or not. Honestly, I liked it. I’d go as far as saying that this is my favourite of the series. I love to see new ideas, so long as they aren’t copied from previous episodes. I noticed a lot of Matrix references in the comments and thinking about it, they are very similar but there’s just enough differences that it makes it a refreshing new story. Very dark, very on edge and very enjoyable. Looking forward to the following couple of episodes…

May 23rd, 2017 - 9:54pmThe Matrix is actually something from classic Doctor Who era. Was introduced in Tom Bakers time. So if anything it was the Matrix movie that stole the idea from Doctor Who.

May 24th, 2017 - 1:43pmThat’s correct. The Matrix was featured in ‘The Deadly Assassin’. Great Tom Baker story, and I think it was David Tennant’s favourite.

May 21st, 2017 - 8:45pmAh Marmite episodes, an important part of any TV show. They spark debates and help writers learn how to please different fans, and this episode was definitely an example of that. Now I can see why some didn’t like this episode, but I thought it was fantastic. I loved how this episode dared to question our existence. That’s quite deep. Also this episode did a nice job of character development, and those Truth Monks were just perfect.

May 21st, 2017 - 6:37pmGood follow-up to OXYGEN.
I just hope the Doctor doesn’t bust out any matrix ninja moves 🙂

May 21st, 2017 - 8:48pmI’d give Extremis 4 maybe 5/10 other than that I would agree with your scores.

May 21st, 2017 - 1:41pmAn OK episode, Bill is a good companion but we already know she is gay can we move on and get rid of the soap opera elements of her and any other companions lives? Hopefully when Moffat goes we will see an improvement in this regard.
Every time Missy s on screen I see a missed opportunity, if only she had been Romana or Susan gone insane! Or someone new from the Doctors past? But at least we will see the real Master (Simms) soon, but I worry about that…..what damage will Moffat cause him and the rest of the show cannon in the coming episodes? I hope I’m wrong but Moffat never fails to destroy.
Doctor Stu
May 21st, 2017 - 3:39pmEvery other companion has had a love interest so now it’s Bills turn, it’s a good way of showing how the Doctor and bill have separate lives away from the TARDIS and it’s funny when those lives merge, the pope wandering into her bedroom for example
Pats86
May 21st, 2017 - 4:13pmYes I get your point, I’m just fed up with the soap opera elements, both RTD and Moffat are as bad as each other.
Whorules
May 22nd, 2017 - 2:00pmUnfortunately the soap opera elements are what make casual fans ie non long-term watch. It’s just the nature of modern TV, all shows do it.

May 22nd, 2017 - 2:01pmBleeding auto correct! Long term fans that meant to say…
The Outcast
May 22nd, 2017 - 2:35pmI didn’t think the Pope thing was funny.
The Master
May 21st, 2017 - 12:50pmThe missy giving in so easily is a trick she’s the master his enemy, there will be a trick to that! She will be evil
