A Very Evil Dalek With Some Fans (spoilers!)

A Very Evil Dalek With Some Fans

The Daleks are being wheeled before the cameras once again. But which design? The answer is ALL OF THEM! – even this one! Does that mean the 1960’s emperor is hiding out of site?

Red herring, April fool or major story line – Who Knows!

I wonder, what are they going to do for Dalek’s weapon effects ? They will all have to use that radiation beam, even though the silver daleks never had it, they just went “Exterminate, blam blam blam !” and the whole room would flicker negative. (best they could do at the time).

You know it’s funny how Genesis of the Daleks is acknowledged for many things, but hardly ever does anyone mention that it was the first onscreen time the Daleks weapons had a laser-beam added on, which was to become the norm.
    😀

The negative effect was awesome. But nowadays they would be known as bad special effects, (or would they?). Probably send the new series Dalek weapon effects, then with the victim Invert colours while the skeleton effect. (they did that on the episode Dalek)

i hope they use the weapons the 60 daleks used, with that little prong that comes in and out of the daleks gun, i love that energy weapon, it my favourite type.

I maybe completely wrong about this, but I just had a look at the screen grabs on the ” First Series 7 Trailer Preview and Screenshots ” page on this site, and I reckon that the large interior set seen in pictures 6, 10 and 11 maybe related to the set shown in the above image, but since Amy is shown not wearing her leather Jacket in the pictures, I can’t be entirely curtain, but if I am right, then I guess the presence of the Egyptian Priestess would seem to suggest the old Daleks will be discovered in Ancient Egypt and the new Daleks are on either an icy planet or Earth in the Antarctic.

My guess is ‘wibbly wobbily timey wimey’. Aka the Egyptian is out of her time zone and visa versa everybody. Looking forward to this ‘un- looking forward to it a lot!

And there I was, hoping we would finally get a proper egyptian story ! (yes yes, Pyramids of mars was one, blah blah bladdy blah, whatever).

But I like this twist, Daleks in an ancient tomb. Maybe it will be called “Backup of the Daleks” because they basicly filled a whole tomb up with old Daleks incase one day they all ran short of Daleks. 😆

OOH, I also found out this Dalek one is going to be the season opener, not the western.

AWESOMENESS OVERLOAD! I know these are just rumours, but still every Dalek variant ever at the ancient Egypt. I also hope we see River and Cleo meet, but that’s very unlikely.

come on guys rorys not going to die. who remembers big bang when amy and rory forget the doctor and river song then gives them her diary and they remember. well i think when rory dies river does something and makes rory come back. or rorys gets touched by a angel and goes back in time amy is in the future and goes to his funeral and then is so upset she wants to be with rory shes walks up to a angel and gets touched and goes back in time and sees rory and and spends the rest of their lifes together in the past not in their own time. but the doctor cant find them or it is a fixed point in time and cant do anything its only him and river but river has to go beacuse this is the first time shes sees the doctor with her parents amy and rory and so the doctor is left alone and then his next adventure with be with jenna louise coleman what do you think booboo?

Nice idea, i think that what actually happened though was that all the damage done by the cracks in time were reversed and THEN River most likely used the TARDIS to save Rory b/c if she didn’t she wouldn’t exist.

The New Paradigm Daleks should leave. Leave and not return. That is my theory of this episode. They look so stupid. If they are here to stay, please PLEASE Steven Moffat, NEVER have all the of them grouped together like in Victory of The Daleks. Alone, and all one colour, they might stand a chance of working.

Astronaut of Death is right, Steven didint write Victory of the Daleks, that was Mark Gatiss, so it’s really Mark who should be blamed, not Steven, but I can understand why people blame Steven cos he is in charge of the shows making since he tool over from good old Russell T. Davies.

I know he didn’t write VOTD but it was his final decision and his idea to have the new daleks. In general I like what he has done, but I hate the paradigms. However he has sort of redeemed himself by bringing back the old daleks.

    • the astronaut of death

      April 18th, 2012 - 7:39pm

he might save them by bringing in new and better disigns for the paradigms

    • The 14th Doctor

      April 19th, 2012 - 5:02pm

Maybe. Maybe he’ll try to make out that all the daleks from VOTD were like, cheifs. Chief drone, chief strategist and so on, and the rest of the empire is a more sensible shape and hopefully colour.

Sounds good, but I can’t imagine different types of Dalek forming an alliance, due to their genetic differences and all that mumbo jumbo about ” Dalek purity ” etc.

Try imaging an alliance between the Renegade and Imperial Daleks . . . . it wouldint last a moment.

You’ll never know. Things may not seem to be as you might expect the Daleks to fight against, but you have got a point there.

There can be a reason for the Daleks to have to accept, and rely on, the older Daleks found in this story, they will find a purpose for them, I would imagine.

What do you mean by “normal”. If it’s those horrid bronze things that RTD created then probablly not. Although there were mentions in the past of using these new Daleks as a reason to bring back the classic Daleks so perhaps this is what we are seeing now.

    DALEK LINKS CLOSING DOWN 🙁

Hi guys. Just wanted to share this sad bit of news that the Dalek Links website, said to be the most comprehensive Dalek website on the Internet, is sadly closing down.

The sites owner says he will close it in afew weeks time. He admits that for the past year or two he has not keeped the site up to date, and so feels he should close it down. Because of his site, I discovered this website, and probably wouldint have if it wasint for his Dalek Links. I will miss it 🙁

      April 15th, 2012 - 4:33pm

Indeed. After I posted the comment, It later occurred to me that if the creator of the site can’t bother to keep it running, then why not hand control over of it to someone he knows who could, if that is possible offcourse.

But if this the end of Dalek Links within the next few days, then it will be sadly missed indeed, and it is a real shame like you said as it is a brilliant site.

      R.I.P. DALEK LINKS [ 2002 to 2012 ] 🙁

some people just don’t like handing over what they have created, classic example of that was Outpost Gallifrey
