eddie redmayne…has the makings of a Doctor Who. Particularly, if somehow the senario is created whereby the Doctor has managed to trick the system to gain a new set of regenerations.

Not sure about Smile, Knock, Knock or World Enough and Time. All of the others seem super cool though and you can really see a change in titles from 2005-2017

I’m quite liking these titles, a good mix of quite contemporary-sounding titles, and traditional-sounding ones. Still not sure about ‘The Pilot’, as a title yet…

Yeah I think they should have stuck with ” A Star In Her Eye”.

Peter filmed his regeneration yesterday. This means that hopefully we will get an annoucment for who the next doctor is soon.

I hope we don’t and we have to wait for the actual regeneration to find out. Give people a reason to watch this Christmas.

    • The Outcast

      April 13th, 2017 - 10:13am

And to counter act leaks, have the media department make fake leaks and have different people film regeneration scenes to throw people off the scent.

Like with the last episode of Frost where they filmed three different endings?

Thing is, Capaldi is the twelfth incarnation of the Doctor to most people, but there are still those that class the War Doctor as a “numbered” doctor. I personally see it as 12 regenerating into 13, but its going to cause confusion for those that see it as 13 into 14.

I hate leaks,I watched a video the other day and it gave away a massive spoiler,it was a good spoiler though.

    • The Outcast

      April 13th, 2017 - 1:38pm

@Werewolf yeah, that and anything else to make a definitive leak impossible. Doesn’t matter if one person gets it right if there are 7 or 8 other people involved as ‘fake’ next Doctors. I think if the BBC can chuck lots of spanners and keep the evidence locked down then they could keep it a secret. It’d help build up hype for the Christmas special if they announced that as the place for the reveal of the next Doctor.

    • The Outcast

      April 14th, 2017 - 9:26am

Also, was this the John Simm spoiler?

    • Whorules

      April 15th, 2017 - 6:54pm

Next Doctor is number 15. Hartnell to mcgann 1-8, war doctor , Eccleston, Tennant then Tennant again in journey’s end, making Smith 13 and then capaldi’s the new regenerative cycle making him 14th

I hope they replace that Dalek footage they used for Bills reveal because most of it was recycled from into the Dalek

They re-filmed the entire scene, the bit where they turn around is different to the promo clip in the trailers. No more ‘Into the Dalek’ clips.

The Doctor Falls? The 4th Doctor fell off the radio telescope at Jodrell Bank in his last episode…..wouldn’t put it past Moffat to do it again, he does tend to rehash ideas from those who actually wrote good stories for this show!

      April 12th, 2017 - 7:45pm

Oooohhhh the shade…but very true. He’s using gimmicks to draw people back now, returning cybermen, emoji bots, dabbing but ah well who am I kidding I’ll still watch. I’m remaining loyal to the show however much it discends into rubbish. It’s like having a kid who’s rubbish at playing the violin, you’ll still go to the school concert but you know they’re gonna mess up

    • The Outcast

      April 13th, 2017 - 1:43pm

Yeah, I’m with ya Doctor Stu. We’ll go down with the ship (or show in this instance and by down I mean, we’ll be with it til the end… and then board the relaunch a few years later).

    • Pats86

      April 13th, 2017 - 5:24pm

I shall still be watching myself, have done as long as I can remember which was very very vaguely Jon Pertwee’s Doctor and then Tom’s Doctor which is my Doctor.
Capaldi could have been the best, but alas he didn’t get a great showrunner. (He’s still fabulous mind)

Getting the impression that the Daleks/Movellans are going to be in the first episode that introuduces Bill and once we get past that it’s in potential danger of not amounting to much.

you’re right, the daleks and movellans are in episode 1 but, apparently, very briefly. They say blink and you’ll miss the movellans, sp we’ve probably seen as much of them as we’re going to in the trailers

    • The Moffat Paradox

      April 12th, 2017 - 4:47pm

Then they’ll just have to this future justice maybe in series 11 if not this one having wetted our appetites from the December trailer for this.

    • The Outcast

      April 13th, 2017 - 1:48pm

I’m kinda glad the Daleks are only cameo-ing. This way we won’t have them just lingering in the background or forced story which further degrades them and only exists because they have to be used. I mean, 2015 was a real low for the Daleks. They where defeated by poop. POOP!

Lets just give the Daleks a few years to recover and then bring them back in spectacular fashion with a great Dalek story that once again makes them a threat.

    • Pats86

      April 13th, 2017 - 5:27pm

The Daleks were defeated by poop because it was poop writing, now who’s fault is that……?

    • The Moffat Paradox

      April 13th, 2017 - 11:31pm

And its Moffat who ( probably typically without context from the classic series) has put the supposed to be equally evil Movellans (for however long in the episode) back in the picture when the in Who Universe antipathy between both them and the Daleks is probably only exceeded by Dalek hatred of the Time Lords.

Waste of plot potential if it’s a case of blink and you’ll miss it all unless something further down the line is being planned here.

Peter Harness being subtle as ever, haha. Also, I mean, The Eaters of Light sounds like it could have been taken straight out of McCoy’s seasons – makes sense considering

The pilot is an episode title to begin a whole new show and the Doctor falls just sounds like an episode title to end the show forever.

Thats why the Twelfth Doctor was on his knees! He tripped and soooo winded that he begins to regenerate (hence the clutching his chest) and he was using the bench to get up so he could have a dramatic regeneration.
