Although this series looks great, did they really have to release it so late? It’s kind of annoying mainly because in Australia we get it two weeks later than usual. That may not sound like long but to a passionate Dr Who fan, who’s been watching the best show ever since he’s been four years of age. It’s a fair amount of time.

I’ve read a review (supposedly spoiler free but there was a rather big one in it, probablly because they haven’t watched a certain classic series story) and they mentioned a “Coming Soon” trailer showing the next four episodes in it but that could change before braodcast.

    • booboo

      August 15th, 2012 - 10:43am

looks like i will need to avoid even spoiler free reviews then, really dont want the big surprise spoiled

I attended the Asylum of the Daleks preview last night and can confirm that their is a ‘Coming Soon’ trailer at the end of the episode containing new material.

    • booboo

      August 15th, 2012 - 12:31pm

can you give us your thoughts on the episode? (dont want any spoilers)

    • Bigger on the Inside

      August 15th, 2012 - 12:52pm

Could you tell us what the titles are like as that is spoiler free and Im really interested?

    • Will Evans

      August 15th, 2012 - 9:35pm

Titles changes are evolution rather than revolution as in the past. Theme tune has been modified but not too much again as in the past. There is a still the Tardis travelling through a wormhole…….enough of the old to give you goosebumps but enough of the new to whet your appetite…….Mind you they don’t roll the intro until several minutes in and it kind of takes you by surprise.

Thoughts on the episode without spoilers is difficult but I’ll try. It looked fantastic great looking sets and special effects. There were 5 or 6 lines which made much of the audience laugh out loud. Very busy first 10 minutes setting the scene and familiarising the audience with some excellent new concepts – fast talking too so listen carefully or you could get lost. Then the story really starts – can’t really say too much but be prepared to be double-crossed all is not what it seems ……

    • Bigger on the Inside

      August 15th, 2012 - 10:04pm

Thanks but are the titles better? and it is specific to the episode so does it contain clips and did they confirm the date it is aired?

    • Will Evans

      August 15th, 2012 - 10:22pm

Titles not episode specific – no episode clips used. It could be used for every episode as far as I could see, but obviously I do not know as I have only seen this 1 episode. Are they better? Well that is pretty subjective you will have to decide for yourself – I thought it worked ok. We were given no info on the air date at the premier. Hope this is helpful – I wasn’t really focussing on the credits to be honest it was more the episode and meeting the cast etc….

    • Bigger on the Inside

Dinosaurs on a Spaceship – I’m really looking forward to this one! I mean, come on! Dinosaurs…… On a Spaceship! ๐Ÿ˜†

A Town Called Mercy – I’m sure it’ll be good, but it’s one of the episodes I’m looking least forward to.

The Power of Three – the one I’m looking forward to the least. I’m not sure about the Cubes. What will they do to you? Spread a disease or something? ๐Ÿ˜

Angels Take Manhattan – The one I’m looking most forward to and it looks EPIC!! I’ll probably let a tear out when the Ponds leave as they are my favourite companions ever! ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Dinosaurs on a Spaceship – ENOUGH IS EN — oh you’re probably tired of that joke by now. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Yes, looking forward to this one! And Rupert Graves is in it! ๐Ÿ˜€

A Town Called Mercy – Yes! Definitely looking forward to this one since it’s written by Toby Whithouse – one of my favourite New Series writers. ๐Ÿ˜€

The Power of Three – Sounds interesting, but we must hear more about it.

The Angels Take Manhattan – Apart from the title (Ugh!), this looks to be a good episode. I’ll be sobbing quietly (with ice cream) as Amy and Rory leave. The cherub will terrify me! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
