    Here’s my Series 7 Opinions:

    ASYLUM OF THE DALEKS:
This I’m sure will be a great opener. I can’t wait to see some Classic Daleks, as I’ve only seen the Imperials. We have Daleks saying to the Doctor “Save the Daleks”, so what do they mean? And what’s the Kaled (the creature inside a Dalek) behind the Doctor? Dalek Caan? I rate this 10/10. πŸ™‚

    DINOSAURS ON A SPACESHIP:

I’m really looking forward to this too. It’s seems a little unpopular, but I can’t wait! I mean, come on, as the Doctor says, Dinosaurs…. on a Spaceship! πŸ˜† We also have an Egyptian Queen and Rory’s dad for this episode. A 9/10. πŸ™‚

    A TOWN CALLED MERCY:
Yes, ok, it sounds good. When the first trailer was out, this was the episode I was looking forward to the most. Now I regret. Wild West and Cyborg Cowboys is good, but….. 8/10

    THE POWER OF THREE:
Not that much info on this one, but apparently the “cubes” infect people and The Doctor is one of them! Quite interesting, eh? But, the episode I’m looking least forward to. Also Rory’s dad is in this again. 7/10

    THE ANGELS TAKE MANHATTAN:
The one I’m looking forward to the most. I really want to see the Ponds departure, but it better be good! I don’t want them dead, or that’s seriously the end of Doctor Who for me! It sounds great though, and I’m sure the Weeping Angels will terrify me this time, especially the baby angel! 😯

Since a lot of fan’s of Doctor Who like myself hate the Paradigm Daleks, calling them things like Mini-Coopers and Power Rangers, Ive given them a repainting to what I feel would have been more acceptable for each one.

If anyone would like to take a look at my repainting of the 5 Paradigm Daleks, please visit the Deviant Art website and look for ‘Doctor Who: The Paradigm Daleks – Remastered’.

Toyah Wilcox is the name of the woman I mentioned in a couple of recent posting who some of us here on the site thought was a 2nd Amy Pond that I said about standing next to Matt Smith’s Doctor in a photo in SFX Magazine but I forgot her name after I came home from WH Smiths.

THE Toyah Wilcox is in this?

    • Jason doctorwhoone

      August 23rd, 2012 - 3:37pm

Well I’m not quite sure, under the picture of this woman next to Matt is said something like “Is that Toyah Wilcox standing next to the Doctor ?” or something like that, so I assume so yeah. If I’m wrong thou then I apologize now for getting it wrong.

    • booboo

      August 23rd, 2012 - 3:39pm

well she is a very well know singer form the 70’s/80’s and actually looking at the stance i can see why that might be, probably not actually her though

    • Jason doctorwhoone

      August 23rd, 2012 - 3:42pm

Yeah probably not her. Ive just looked her up and the picture of the woman with Matt’s Doctor I think is not actually Toyah Wilcox but some other woman, so if it’s not then Ive no idea why they’ve written her name, but if you see the latest issue of SFX Magazine then I’d take a look at the picture for yourself and see what you think, page 53 or 54 if I remember rightly.

    Well, I don’t wanna say this, but…….

I’m not gonna like Doctor Who as much as I did with Amy and Rory!! I just liked them both, great companions! I have nothing against for example Sarah Jane, Donna, Martha (well Rose yes!) or the new one, but I love the Ponds and I’m totally gonna miss them. πŸ˜₯

Oh and I really want to see The Angels Take manhattan now! πŸ˜€

I too will miss the Ponds, but that’s the nature of Doctor Who. Doctors come and go (that’s right Tennant Fangirls)and companions come and go. It’s what’s helped Doctor Who be where it is today. πŸ™‚

      No.

    • Jason doctorwhoone

      August 22nd, 2012 - 8:38pm

No, 2 of the Time War Daleks only had their casing painted in camouflage and had the Union Jack added over their I.D. Tags under their eye stalks as part of their plan to get the Doctor to recognize them as Daleks in order to prove to the Progenitor device to accept the Doctors testimony that they really where Daleks as it did not believe them cos their DNA was not pure Dalek DNA.

Once that plan was completed, they no longer needed to pretend to be the so called Ironsides of Professor Bracewell.

    • Jason doctorwhoone

      August 22nd, 2012 - 8:42pm

Despite it being said that all the Daleks will appear, the only ones who clearly won’t be featured will be –

      Classic Series Supreme Daleks.
      Dalek Crucible Supreme Dalek.
The Cult of Skaro Daleks [with the except of Caan, who might be the Dalek mutant we’ve seen in a recent trailer behind the Doctor].
      Necros Daleks.

Remember that the Dalek Asylum is basicly for Daleks who are unstable and deranged who are too dangerous to be around their own kind as they would attack ordinary Daleks, that’s why they are in that Asylum. The Daleks simply abandon them and leave them to die, even if that means deranged Daleks fight one another.

    • Give me a Dalek any day

      August 22nd, 2012 - 8:44pm

Attack ordinary Daleks? It explains the eye in the trailer! They must’ve ripped that poor Paradigm Dalek apart!

What do you mean you thought Moffat was trying to do a Miracle Day?

    • Matt smithy

      August 22nd, 2012 - 8:52pm

Well I was looking forward to “Torchwood: Mirical day” because, well, it’s Torchwood! But when it came out I just wasn’t impressed along with many other fans. It wasn’t really torchwood anymore. It had been “Americanised”. Now that is NOT an insult to America, ok? But America and Britan have different ways of doing tv shows, and thats good because America do great shows, but Torchwood doesn’t really work like that in my opinion. With doctor who they are trying to make it bigger in america, which is good but I just hoped it would not eventually become “americanised” but now I am shure it won’t! I still found mirical day ok though, and I have nothing wrong with doctor who in america πŸ™‚ infact it is making doctor who even more popullar for americans! yay!

    • Give me a Dalek any day

      August 22nd, 2012 - 8:56pm

Oh right. Yes! Torchwood Miracle Day was, erm, not good.

But it’s not just America, it’s pretty much the whole world. As Mark Sheppard said in the trailer, Doctor Who is a global phenomenon. πŸ™‚

No, I think it might be referring to the fact that there is a gap each time the Doctor pops in to see Amy and Rory in each episode. After all, Dinosaurs on a Spaceship apparently takes place about ten months after Asylum of the Daleks.

He can’t be back, he died back in Series 3, there just reusing his casing.

Funny thou, I would have thought they’d have repainted it to look like an ordinary Time War Dalek.

Can’t exactly recall where I learned this, but the Dalek seen in the series 1 episode ‘Dalek’, the restored version used once the Dalek has finished regenerating itself, is the same prop that became Dalek Sec’s casing, just painted black.

The young Amy bit is clearly just used in the trailer to show the beginning of Amy’s story.

    • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

      August 22nd, 2012 - 6:48pm

Geronimo has a point, i love the angels but using them too much will make them boring. but i am happy they will be in the last ep for amy and rory, but i expect a lot from it.

    • Jason doctorwhoone

      August 22nd, 2012 - 8:13pm

They should have only used the Weeping Angel’s for just ‘Blink’. That 1 episode alone is memorable when it comes to Weeping Angels.

For new Doctor Who, it’s as memorable as the Green Death from the classic series, the one people always describe as ‘the one with the giant Maggots’ πŸ˜€

    • Give me a Dalek any day

      August 22nd, 2012 - 8:22pm

Indeed, Blink is a very memorable episode, but I do like The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone even though the Angels were different. The two books (Touched By An Angel and Magic of the Angels) have also been great outings for the Angels.

But I do agree with Rory Doctor River Pond about monsters becoming boring. Take the Daleks for example. They have been poorly handled in the New Series apart from in Series 1 and 5 (yes, I liked Victory! :P).

They are using statues as the angels in some shots rather than actors dressed up, this makes them look less scary and you can tell they are fake because of the mouth and eyes but the mask and costume had a very humanoid feel to it and looks a lot more realistic than the statues
