February 8th, 2013 - 9:41pmSteven Moffat has dragged Dr Who down and now he’s taken the TARDIS with it

February 14th, 2013 - 2:07pmI Love the new look TARDIS. I think Verity Lambert would be pleased and amazed to see project to be still be on today, celebrating 50 years this November.

January 10th, 2013 - 12:16amSeems too organised, stark and characterless. “I preferred it the way it was”. The clutter and randomness of the previous two summed up both the TARDIS and The Doctor’s characters sublimely . It could do with a touch of moodiness about it. However, “everything changes” and being able to adapt is the reason why all of us can keep talking about the programme after all these years. Best go now,sit in a mood filled room and be childish.Works for me!

January 3rd, 2013 - 8:27pmI think it looks really cool apart from the spinning bit at the top of the room. It looks like the classic tardis inside from 1970s!

December 31st, 2012 - 12:59amI like the new control room, it could use more roundels though. I would love to see the original Hartnell room realized in color as the designer intended.

December 30th, 2012 - 6:41pmProbably they will sell another tardis playset with no sounds or lights at the same expensive price,

December 26th, 2012 - 2:11pmsorry to be somewhat grouchy . . . there are people who like this console but this is just completely off the rails for me. i think its awful… and quite honestly… i hate it. the old one was nice, it had glass floors and an awesome console that was just a little messy like the 11th doctor, it had warm lighting and felt like home rather than an aeroplane control panel, a boring grey console panel, light sabers in a tube and target practise along the walls of a storage shed. i understand they’re probably trying to bring back a little of the old doctors… but then theres just that weird modern twist that just clashes with everything and makes it unlikeable :/

December 30th, 2012 - 6:03pmAi? The new TARDIS is awesome! It feels to me like Doctor Who has become a new show! My criticism is the Console Room looks smaller compared to the Eleventh Doctor’s previous one?

January 6th, 2013 - 7:50pmI’ll have to agree with Caro, it seems like a really cold, clinical kind of Tardis with no personality, also, I miss the different floors of the old model. Moffat, what have you done???
?
December 26th, 2012 - 1:28pmI like the last one

December 26th, 2012 - 2:04amFirst impressions, yuck. It looks like it’s been designed by an fan reminiscing the olden days of Doctor Who (archetype TARDIS, rubbish sets and all) with no taste in colour. I mean, look at the target-like lights with all the clashing colours and the sickly greenish lighting. The last TARDIS interior was fun, colourful and showed the scale of the interior/exterior difference. This is pretty cramped by comparison.
In 2005 Doctor Who finally got good and now Moffat seems to be determined to restore it back to the olden days of boring sets.
Sorry about the rant but thought this is the beginning of the end I’m afraid.

December 29th, 2012 - 11:43amKind of the point, considering this is the 50th anniversary and all.
You Know WHO
January 23rd, 2013 - 10:47pmDoctor Who was ‘good’ long befour 2005.
The new Tardis is a mixture of classic consoles and new ones, which is an important thing to have for the 50th.

December 27th, 2012 - 10:18pmFinally became good? After 50 years?
Brother of the Daleks
December 24th, 2012 - 9:23pmAs an invading enemy often said, “Excellent!” The Classic TARDIS interior always had an alien feeling, while the 4th Doctor’s secondary control room looked too manmade, the 2005 TARDIS looked awful, and the 2010 one, while better than the 2005 version, was still not as great as the original. Kudos to whoever redesigned it this time around!

December 31st, 2012 - 9:16amYou are right but I think you need to get used to it and any way you have to admit it looks more like a time travel machine

December 23rd, 2012 - 9:22pmi think that the new TARDIS is posh but my opinion is that they could of done a better job on the TARDIS interior but it looks a lot better than the previous TARDIS interior

December 23rd, 2012 - 9:32pmi believe that it isn’t posh and they could have done better

December 23rd, 2012 - 5:51pmI really like this one. I have been waiting for them to get rid of the coral theme. I always wanted one like this. It has a modern sort of classic one, just not as boring like the classic console rooms. I cnat wait to see it.

December 22nd, 2012 - 10:21pmI like the new design very much, i personally think that the doctor has changed, from a light and happy doctor. with the bright tweed jacket. To a doctor who wears a more darker toned jacket, obviuosley losing Amy and Rory did alot to him, perhaps this is the result, a more darker doctor.

December 22nd, 2012 - 9:30pmThe Doctor was watching over us yesterday and made sure the world didn’t end!!!!!!! Also I preferred the previous TARDIS, I hope there’s a good explanation as to why it changed and it is explained properly instead of it just randomly changing in the episode. Love Jenna Louise Coleman but unfortunately there’s not going to be a 5inch figure. Hopefully they’ll make one in about 50 years when she is considered a classic and I will then be 64

December 22nd, 2012 - 3:14pmpersonally im not a huge fan of this design the original 11th doctor tardis seemed a lot more welcoming who knows it may grow on me

December 22nd, 2012 - 10:45amUp to the masque of mandragora the tardis control room was rarely the same two storys running. The new set looks great ,but I still think the original Hartnell tardis set and console is the best.

December 21st, 2012 - 9:58pmMaybe the Doctor changed it because the old one reminded him of Amy and Rory to much.

December 21st, 2012 - 11:28pmi agree with that
doctorwhoone
December 22nd, 2012 - 9:30amThere are actually two reason.
For the Doctor, it is indeed because the previous version reminded him too much of adventures within the Tardis with Amy and Rory.
The other reason is because of the shows 50th Anniversary next year.
So basically there’s something new for both us and the Doctor.

December 22nd, 2012 - 9:32amI think they will, but for the shorter new series figures which I think are coming out sometime next year, since new series figures are going no longer going to be 5 inch which is daft, while the classic series figures will stay 5 inch.
McGann is the Doctor
December 21st, 2012 - 10:08amShouldn’t have looked before the episode, but WOW, it looks so much more creepy and wierd !
Alot less “homely”, it reminds me so much of the Peter Davison Tardis room.

December 21st, 2012 - 10:08amAnyone else spot the staircase ?

December 21st, 2012 - 10:31amYeah I noticed the staircase too, probably a nod to the 11th Doctors original console room.

December 21st, 2012 - 9:11amOff topic, but since there’s no new topic about the Daleks –
HAPPY 49TH BIRTHDAY DALEKS !!!! 😀
Cos 49 years ago today, part 1 of the very first ever Dalek story on Saturday 21st December 1963 was broadcast, with a Daleks manipulator arm [oh alright then, SINK PLUNGER !!] making an appearance menacing the 1st Doctors companion Barbra Wright played by the late Jaqueline Hill.

December 21st, 2012 - 11:07pmDon’t you think that it’s a bit of a coincidence that 49 years after the creation of the Dalek’s the World might End? Mhh, interesting…
doctorwhoone
December 22nd, 2012 - 9:34amIf the world had ended yesterday then I’d rather it would have been the end of the world as we know it by being invaded by Daleks rather then the world blowing up in our faces.
