Deep Breath Final Viewing Figures 9.17 million

Deep Breath Final Viewing Figures 9.17 million

Source: www.doctorwhonews.net

Deep Breath has achieved Final Viewing Figures of 9.17 million. Iplayer is not included in this figure

Doctor Who Deep Breath had an overnight audience of 6.8 million viewers with a 32.5% share. Its nearest rival, Casualty achieved a much lower 4.2 million.

Overnight figures have become more and more unreliable as to the true picture with many people using iplayer and other media.

PETER CAPALDI can barely be understood here in America. I need text to follow virtually everything he says, speaking far too quickly.
Everything feels wrong, brilliant actor I have no doubt, just can’t follow a word the man says.
Why a Scots accent, thought the Dr was supposed have a neutral one, hence Tennent speaking with a slight Londonish accent
Love Coleman, I think an Actress called Jessica Fox (Hollyoaks) should be brought back as the assistant originally played by Wndy Padbury, they look identicle.
Lastly, Susan never died, what’s with rewriting the Doctors history Mr Moffet?

Does anyone know when BBC will upload the full video to their site? I can’t seem to find that information anywhere. Or when HULU will upload it? Everything I find says it will after it airs live, which clearly it already has, but nothing more specific. One time through isn’t enough to wrap my head around it!

Do you mean ‘When will the episode be on the Internet ?’ ?.

It’s available on BBC iPlayer. You can find a link to it on the official Doctor Who website.

Any one of you realize that the woman at the end in ‘heaven’ is Clara? She was called missy and matt smith called clare that in the phone call at the end, it sound like miss you but she said missy! The woman also claimed to be the doctor’s boyfriend, and capaldi said it might be your boyfriend before she answered the phone call. Who else could she be? People have always thought of Clara and the doctor as a couple previously more than the usual doctor and companion. The woman also new about the doctors accents, clara also mentioned his scottish accent in the final scene.

      August 26th, 2014 - 4:47pm

No, seriously, she is a totally new character.

Why do some fan’s hope that a new character will turn out to be River Song [or in your case, Clara] ?, why can’t they accept River is gone for good [thank Rassilon] and is not some re-incarnated woman called the Gatekeeper of the Nethersphere.

Really annoys a lot of us fan’s when some hope someone new is someone we already know so well.

Just flew back in off holiday and one of the first things to do was watch the first episode with the new doctor. I am so disappointed it just lacked luster and did not flow from the previous doctors I really found it quite boring and I am a fan from the late sixties until now hope it improves otherwise they will have to have another reincarnation sooner rather than later.

I tried to avoid the hype, because there was far more hype than was necessary…. That being said, Peter Capaldi is older than William Hartnell was when he first portrayed The Doctor. Peter has a proven record of playing surreal and shocking characters (The Thick Of It, Neverwhere) and he is a very entertaining and versatile actor. I don’t know how he will make his mark on the Doctor Who universe, but I am sure it will be an exciting journey. The first episode was a superb mix of comedy, mystery and steampunk science fiction. The dinosaur did seem a bit over the top, but the various references to previous doctors (the long scarf & etc.) were a brilliant touch. The whole skit about “I’ve seen this face before” (Fires of Pompeii)very cleverly explained away the similarity. Remember that Colin Baker portrayed a Galifreyan guard who tried to stop Tom Baker’s incarnation before becoming the sixth incarnation himself. All said and done, I loved it.

The Dinosaur yawned after a good nights sleep.

While it’s mouth was wide open, the Tardis came out of the Time Vortex in space, flew fast towards the Earth, flew straight into the Dinosaurs big wide mouth as it yawned, and once stuck in the Dino’s belly, dematerilised back into the Time Vortex taking the poor Dinosaur with it, making the poor creature scream in utter terror before ending up in Victorian London and vomiting the Tardis out quick.

      That’s how 🙂

I think ‘Deep Breath’ might have got more viewers if it hadn’t followed that dire celebrity gymnastics crap! If Doctor Who follows ‘Strictly’ in a few weeks then we might see a vast improvement. Not that I’m saying I’m a fan of ‘Strictly’ cos I clearly am NOT! But people do seem to love that show.

I doubt the cinema screenings really made much difference to the overall figures, should probably reach around 9 million when the final figures come in.

yeah, it would be a lot higher if everyone stayed at home.
this is just assuming that they count 1 for every cinema screen.
but of course they could’ve counted the tickets.
i don’t think it will ever be as high as the day of the doctor ever again…

This doesn’t include iPlayer viewings…pretty much every I know use IPlayer now so you can add at least 2 million to the final figures. For a sci fi show these figures are amazin. 32% share in a world with 100s of channels….unreal!

Thankfully not but that’s an estimate, based on past reports I’ve read, of how many people watch DW via iplayer.
