Doctor Who – The Curse Of The Black Spot

Doctor Who – The Curse Of The Black Spot
Saturday 7 May
6.15-7.00pm BBC ONE

The TARDIS is marooned onboard a 17th-century pirate ship whose crew is being attacked by a mysterious and beautiful sea creature, as the time-travelling drama continues.

Becalmed and beset by cabin fever, the pirates have numerous superstitious explanations for the Siren’s appearance. The Doctor has other ideas but, as his theories are disproved and every plan of escape is thwarted, he must work to win the trust of the implacable Captain Avery and uncover the truth behind the pirates’ supernatural fears – and he must work quickly, for some of his friends have already fallen under the Siren’s spell…

The Doctor is played by Matt Smith, Captain Avery by Hugh Bonneville, Amy by Karen Gillan and Rory by Arthur Darvill.

No River isn’t dead. Her Future is the Doctor’s past. She can’t die literally because you have already watched her future. DUH!She died with David Tennant in the silence of the library if you remember?

I must say, I’m quite looking forward to this episode, not least becasue the Doctor finally meets Pirates in a full-blown Pirate-setting adventure (“I wonder why they didnt try it before? Hmh!..” to quote “theSixthDoctor” .) 😀 and 😉

Once the two part opening to the series has lured viewers into the Series, I think this story should get off to a fairly high-paced start, having already familiarised its audience by this point in Series 6.

The Cybermen returning, as far as we can seem will unfortunately just be the usual lot. Ive seen the pictures in radiotimes. Pretty lame a letdown, if you ask me. They had plenty of oppurtunity to bring back the real-world Space-Cybermen, or atleast change designs to their face piece. How lame that they have once again just re-hashed the old ones we’ve seen about a dozen times already. I mean, what more can they do with them?! ❗

i like it when the silence says “how fast can you run” to amy because that means the silence are chasing her or all of them.
(i think it is a silence because of the background voice which is a silence’es voice)

In The Eleventh Hour, a woman says that she has seen the doctor before. And in the 1st episode of S6, a little girl has been captured, maybe she is the little girl, and she see’s the Doctor when he is in U.S.A

maybe around the rong age though I would say the woman was in her 60s 70s and the episode is set in 1966 in series 6 that would make her around 50 years old depending on how old the little girl is

no because amelia used to draw and make puppets about him and thats why she reconised him also the child is called abigail song so she is related to river.

This is because I suspect the BBC are considering slots for Doctor Who between this time. This press release is so that there is at least an estimated slot as oppossed to a tbc.

river must be die in episode one because it says Amy is played by karen gillan, rory is played by Arthur Darvill and the doctor is played by Matt Smith.
so it cant be Amy, Rory or the doctor that dies.

Don’t think River dies as her death was seen in Silence in the Library. She dies saving the 10th doctor. This is canon as her death.

Don’t be surprised if its the Doctor that dies. Could explain how he turns up with a beard and a prisoner in area 51. He dies, somehow whisked away that we do not see and then he appears at the end of part one tied to a chair and with beard.

Not long to go to see what the real story is.

We commonly use it these days to mean a woman regarded as seductive and beautiful but the original origin (and meaning) comes from Greek mythology and refers to one of a group of sea nymphs who by their sweet singing lured mariners to destruction on the rocks surrounding their island.
