the Doctor is on his 11th incarnation and has regenerated 10 times
and it is not the end of doctor who because it has been confirmed by the BBC that a 6th series of Dr. Who will air next year. Matt Smith and Karen Gillan will return as the Doctor and Amy Pond. So everyone stop saying that it might be the end of Dr. Who. IT ISNT SO STOP SAYING IT! I still stik with the idea that the daleks for some reason turn on every one and kill them all then all the other daleks come and destroy everything then decide to destroy the pandorica but are stoped becoz of young amelia when she is contacted by river and is told that she has to stop liking pandoras box and the romans so the situation with the Doctor at Stonehenge doesnt happen and couldnt be created.

The Doctor is indeed in his 11th incarnation but he has not regenerated 11 times. He has regenerated 10 times,so he has at least 2 left.We still have The Twelfth and Thirteenth Doctors to look forward to.

during the episode i started to think that it was young amelia pond. but no, it was empty i hate cybermen realy i hate them they are at the bottom of my faverit enemys list. I was suprised that only 3 daleks came to the pandorica y not the five and besides the blue one didnt come and hes the strategist and my fav colors blue. River Song cant die as we alredy seen that she dies in the 10th doctors timeline. I want the Daleks to turn on all the other aliens and destroy all the other aliens and take over the galaxy. I want the cybermen to die and never com bak i hate them i realy hate the maybe if they had redisigned them i would try them but now i hate them get RID now DIE DIE DIE cybermen only cool thing about them is the wierd wire thing when it grabs Amy and it tries to munch at her like a dog and the headless and armless cyberman thats the only good thing about them. PS i’m changing my name to I_HATE_CYBERMEN

I hope the BBC will make Doctor Who stay on for longer cause its a great programe to watch like somehow and many of you wont agree with me that somehow the Doctor gets 12 more of his lives I remember that on GMTV when Sylvester McCoy said that the BBC could change the rules of Doctor Who. All that ive said is my opinion.

Perhaps the Tardis has not blown up? Yes it has in an alternate time (ref shrapnel from previous episode) but maybe not this one – perhaps a choice made changes the outcome…I think in the episode there was a pointed remark that if there is no living thing in the Tardis it would shut down? Perhaps River Song kills herself to make amends for ‘killing a good man’ either in the past or a potential future? If the Tardis does not explode then the cracks in time will not appear….

I see everyone is now well aware of what creatures from the Doctors recent past will be apparently returning. I knew well that thered be atleast the “white” and “blue” box Daleks from victory and a Hoix )!( aswell as a rather unusual Cybermen which is basicly the same as from the Russel T era, but ARENT from the parallel universe or that rubbishyish episode which I wont name for now because of David Morrisey being so excellant as a would-be Doctor.

And these Cybermen, well fans are suggesting with desperation, well pleading actually! that they will be real Cybermen like from the Classic Series and not just robots with human brains from an alternate world. Yeah, well if you did that you would still have the problem of them being the same design and in terms of function, never mind the aesthetics, the more Robot-like cybermen are still slow and noisy and unintelligent (which is all a very prominent contribution to our irritation and displeasure in the David Morrisey episode).

And if they were supposed to be real Cybermen and they just ignored the fact that they clearly arent, they wouldnt be true cybermen any way becuase they are still not the more Cyborg like and efficient Cybers of the older episodes and theyre UGGGHHHH, THEYRE LIKE SQUASHED FLIES, JUST NEED TO BE WASHED OFF OF OUR WINDSCREENS!!!

So although I would like to add that the sight of the Cybermen in the trailer for “The Pandorica Opens” is somewhat a rahter inspiring and marvellous and unusual and infact almost quite surreal an image to our minds (and it does manage to form its way to yr subconscience and remain stuck rather) the problem remains that if they dont do things THE CHRONOLOGICAL and NON-CANONICALLY CHALLENGINGLY way (as they may have done in Dr Who with logical problems that you would need to solve somewhat and find an answer to, like the past incarnations of The Doctor that appeared in the Brain of Morbius which would mean like that the Doctor has lived alot more than just a Timelords limit by now, and The Silurians not being from the Silurian era or the Eocene era as mentioned in the shows past.)what they ABSOLUTELY CANNOT DO HERE IS IGNORE THE ORIGIN OF THESE CYBERMEN. Im off now to watch the TWELVE episode of the Series 5 and I am not going to tolerate any nonsense concerning about the Cyberman in this episode, and maybe it can be that these Cybermen in our universe look like the Factry ones from Alternateive world, but arent, and they exist here and perhaps that means the Mondas Cyborgy Cybermen from the classic series did exist in that parralel universe aswell. So its not that there are alternate Cybermen in the parralel world, but that there are Cybermenish robots emerging from a factory at a point in Earths history different from in our world, and now these cybers dont even count as ALTERNATE, because they are in OUR WORLD now, with minor differences.

the pandorica opens was incredible!! but i believe the bbc are preparing us all for the end of dr who! i dont no y i just do. i rerlly cant think how they will solve this one. i think next years installment of the dr series will be the famous time lords last. but remember, it was sed long ago in dr who that the dr only gets 12 regenerations and he is on his 11th! prepare for the end of reality!

Think back to The Eleventh Hour. At the end, the Doctor left after defeating Prisoner Zero. We then saw seven year-old Amelia Pond waiting in her back garden and we heard the Tardis. But we know that the Doctor didn’t go back to visit her again when she was seven – AT LEAST HE HASN’T YET. So who was it in the Tardis that went back to visit her and more importantly, when did this happen ? I believe this will form part of the story in the final episode.

Am i the only one that remember that River Song was pictured filming with James Corden?
And we haven’t seen the scene where Amy and River (who’s holding a CyberHead) are facing the doctor at StoneHenge as pictured above.
I think Amelia will have to alter her childhood so that shedidn’t read the story of Pandora’s Box and she never read about The Romans.

The Pandorica Opens was as good as anything in the 21st century series so far. It had everything and despite reading quite a few internet spoilers in advance it still had some unexpected shocks for me. Hopefully the final episode The Big Bang will continue in the same vein.

The only question I have is – why couldn’t the first eleven episodes have been of the same quality as this one ? It would have made this series awesome rather than average.

SHOCK HORROR!!! The Pandorica was empty! The different DW villians joined up to trap the Doctor into it! All the Romans were Autons in disguise, including Rory! The Rory Auton killed Amy! The TARDIS blew up with River inside it! Yes it looks terrible!

This is not a ruse, for those of you who haven’t seen The Pandorica Opens, this is all true! Which means I’ve just done a River Song (I’ve revealed spoilers). Oops. Sorry!

Which means that in The Big Bang, there will be a lot hanging on it! Which brings me to my new synopsis for the episode (pribably didn’t spell synopsis right)! NOTE: I’ve borrowed most of it from the official one.

“The Alliance have won. The Doctor has been sealed into the Pandorica, the TARDIS has been destroyed, taking River Song with it, and time and space itself is collapsing. The only hope is a little 7 year old girl who still believes in stars. But if she can stop the terrible happenings, save her future self, save the TARDIS, save the Doctor, and ultimately save the whole of reality, she will have to act quickly. For silence is falling…”

Hello, first comment from me ever on here

I did not bother with the Lodger episode (read a book instead) last week. However The Pandorica Opens is something many of the Old Dr Who fans have been waiting for a long while. including myself.

Actual story line, actual surprise, actual tragedy, yes some good old creepiness and yes SUSPENSE, like the old days. Well done Auntie Beeb 🙂
    No leaks…YET,

Amy Pond being killed off was a surprise, for sure. Many I think will be glad, she was rather cardboard?

I wonder though with declining viewing figures, is the BBC readying viewers for the ultimate end of Dr Who? If the TARDIS is destroyed, as seems possible, how will the Dr travel through time and space any more?

But of course, the writers will solve this, one assumes.

For the first time in this New era, I am actually wanting to see the next episode NOW!

My opinion of the writers, producers and all at Dr Who has risen considerably this evening.

Lets hope for an astounding last episode of this series, with pointers to the next.

Crikey I did not think I would type that in any time soon of Dr Who.

    I think John is right
It could be the evil doctor
And he could have his “own” TARDIS which is the one that gets blown up (and we see a fragment of it at the end of COLD BLOOD)
I absolutely love matt smith, he’s gorgeouse and histerical
But Rory is funny and I want him to come back
