Doctor Who at the Proms 2010 Broadcast Times

The Radio Times scheduling for September includes highlights from this years spectacular Doctor Who at the proms.

The first showing is on Monday 06 September between 8:30pm – 9:30pm on BBC3 with a repeat Tuesday 07 September between 2:45am – 3:45am again on BBC3

Stars of the series Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill host a concert featuring Murray Gold’s music for the sci-fi programme, including his latest reimagining of Ron Grainer’s classic theme tune. Featuring performances by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the London Philharmonic Choir, and soloists Yamit Mamo and Mark Chambers. Ben Foster is the conductor.

There is also an extended showing on Friday 10 September between 7:00pm – 8:30pm again on BBC3

Staged at the Royal Albert Hall in July of this year, Matt Smith (The Doctor), Karen Gillan (Amy Pond) and Arthur Darvill (Rory Williams) are on presenting duties, and you can see them talk about the Prom as well as their preparations as they get ready to take the stage.

Red Button viewers can also see exclusive music not featured in the main Doctor Who Proms show as well as a look at the audience through the eyes of some of the Doctor Who aliens.
