What makes Clara so different from the other companions? The only thing that really separates her from the rest is the fact that she has died twice. This will be the reason for encounters with many species who all want the girl twice dead for themselves. Clara will, in my opinion, be the creation of many adventures for The Doctor. I’m excited to see what’s in store for this season.

I was born in 1968 and have always enjoyed Dr who. I am SO THANKFUL that the series was revamped in the 90’s by people who loved it and wanted to remould and revitalise the series. I cannot miss and episode and love the “witty put downs” and comdeic parts as much as the new planets and creatures, well done!!!!!

who is Clara? why is she so special? is it possible, in his next incarnation, near the very end of his life, he decided to create the ultimate companion for him self and sent her across the time space for his younger self to meet?

or is she a time lady? is she susan? is she jenny? an offspring of these? (i know there was no regeneration) but according to the awesome book iv got called “the time travelers almanac” jenny was resurrected by “the source” possible before she had chance to regenerate.

or like my dad said to me (hes watched it from the very beginning nearly 50 years ago) and said she could possible be the human segment of the “Key to Time” this according to my research is my favorite option.

id love to know what everyone else thinks about my ideas.

no because moffat said she wouldn’t be complicated like Amy and have a time lord daughter who marries the doctor or whatever, and she’d just be a generally great human

I hope it isn’t the silence – this is the fiftieth anniversary for doctor who and I’d be really annoyed if it was all about Moffat’s arc. Moffat needs to remember that this is about the whole history of Doctor Who, not just the history of his era. Hopefully he’ll put his story ad on hold for the anniversary story rather than being self-indulgent.

  • Trenzalore

    December 30th, 2012 - 8:02pm

Here is my idea for the 50th anniversary

I believe there should be old doctors, lots of monsters captured in a prison on trenzalore, which should be a religious place on gallifrey,as a trap to destroy all the doctors ,it should be on trenzalore,a religious place on gallifrey, the silence return, and the story focuses on a battle, the regeneration of the eleventh doctor and the first question and a big scene at the end where All the doctors’s regenerate at the same time, which reboots the universe

The silence would then become a recurring enemy to last a long time on doctor who, they would be revealed to be killed off in this episode somehow ,but return later as the mystery unfolds in years to come, and become a recurring enemy

What would you want to happen

Any epsisodes where the planet is not what it first appears, such as the living spaceship that transported humans from a decaying earth.(great episode) The stranger the rules of he planet, the better, what about the line “the gravity of the situation” where gravity cannot be established, due to some madman or other, making it a privilege and not a right. I love it when “things are not as they seem” for example the living organism inside of each darlek, i think thats wonderful.

It turns out the time lords are not dead,as that was Russell t Davies,we are now in Steven Moffat era,so he can do what he likes,I hope. The master returns, and Russell t Davies story line goes in the bin, because it was stupid idea,so I hope the master returns, even if one writer made a let down, but I’m sure it can change, there still enemies after all,the master will return,I’m telling you and all that silly stuff that rassilon made him was all wrong

It was not a stupid idea. Russell created the Time War and the death of the Time Lords as a back story to help introduce new viewers to the Doctor, and I for one think it was a stroke of genius on Russell’s part.

It was either that or have the Doctor appear in a brand new series as if he had never left our screens in 1989.

It would have confused a lot of viewers in the episode ‘Rose’ if it started with Paul McGann regenerating inside the Tardis to become Christopher Eccleston, leaving a lot of new viewers at the time unfamiliar with the concept of regeneration into saying “Ok, what the heck what that all about ?”.

      Good old Russell 😉

I was just wondering because I haven’t seen anything about one yet. It’s possible that they will release it in a box set with the second half of series 7 unfortunately, which could mean a long wait until we can get the snowmen on DVD.

Well Matt Smith won’t be regenerating into anyone new in 2013 as he has said he is staying for at least 2 or 3 more years.

I wouldn’t get your hopes up either about a multi-Doctor story featuring all living actors to have played the part either, as for one thing, Sylvester McCoy has said he has not been asked to return as the 7th Doctor.

David Tennant on the other hand might be, and is prepared to return at a moments notice.

Christopher Eccleston don’t care about Doctor Who now so I wouldn’t bother with him the miserable so and so.

    • The Truth

      January 1st, 2013 - 3:01pm

Well that would be lovely but they aged. 3 of them are dead, anyway. I bet you didn’t know their names, so don’t call the ‘old doctors’. William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Slyvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant and Matt Smith. Look it up in a book, I’m right!
