No More Doctor Who Confidential: The Finale

Doctor Who Confidential: The Finale

From the BBC official site

For the past seven years, Doctor Who Confidential has put you at the heart of Doctor Who, providing a unique insight into the stars, the show and the entire production.

This journey reaches a fitting finale on Saturday when Doctor Who Confidential premiers a brand new mini-adventure starring Matt Smith as the Doctor. Viewers have seen the story, Death is the Only Answer, being made, watching the entire process from script to screen. Saturday’s episode, entitled When Time Froze, also includes the ultimate feature on River Song, with Alex Kingston providing a brilliant timeline of everyone’s favourite time travelling archaeologist.

The Confidential team captured the rebirth of the show back in 2005 and for over half a decade they have given an unsurpassed, access-all-areas insight not just into Doctor Who, but the magic and mechanics of making successful drama. From an episode directed by David Tennant, to the special edition that broke the news that Matt Smith would be the Eleventh Doctor, Doctor Who Confidential has always delivered the very best in must-see behind-the-scenes action.

The final episode of Doctor Who Confidential, When Time Froze, is on BBC Three on Saturday, immediately after The Wedding of River Song.

I’m glad its ending,it should never have been shown in the first place, doctor who takes you to imaginary worlds but doctor who confidential strips it all the mystery away and just shows it as another tv show !!!!!!

Pharap from doctor who TV made this

    Tick Tock, goes the clock
    The Doctor doesn’t know
    Tick Tick, goes the clock
Just why he has to go

    Tick Tock, goes the clock
His foes they tried to warn him
Tick Tock, and soon we know
His friends will have to mourn him

    Tick Tock, goes the clock
    It never changes time
    Tick Tock, at least until
    The woman does the crime

    Tick Tock, goes the clock
It’s time for you to go
    Tick Tock, goes the clock
    To lake Silencio

    Tick Tock, goes the clock
    A picnic with his friends,
Tick Tock, and they don’t know
    This hour means the end,

    Tick Tock, goes the clock
    The astronaut shall rise,
    Tick Tock, look at her
    The sorrow in her eyes

    Tick Tock, goes the clock
And the first shot is fired,
Tick Tock, and soon we know
    The Doctor has expired

    Tick Tock, goes the clock
And now the world is saved
Tick Tock, And for the world
That man – his life he gave
    good dont you think

Confidential is brilliant, and we love to see it, clearly they have underestimated it’s popularity, no sane person would think it wise to axe the show given how much it is enjoyed.

I agree. But willfred is a inport(they got it from the usa)(i think) so they can’t axe it. Mind u they could stop showing it. But not all inports are rubbish. Famliy guy is brill. Axe young dum living off mum i say.

      better things to axe:

      don’t tell the bride
      eastenders
      big fat gypsy wedding
      gavin and stace.

      nobody watches them.
millions, billions of people watch confidential!!

Gavin and Stacey ended in early 2010 of the creators own choice, not through axing so no money is being spent on it.

    hows this

I find it idiotic that Doctor who confidential has been cancelled due to budget cuts. You have many shows that take more money that this as I see it it is just a camera following the cast and crew so I don’t see how that takes many of the budget you have many shows that you could cancel with bad ratings but Doctor who confidential seems to be doing good and there are many fans on it.The first day that it was told that it would be cancelled they created petitions and clubs on things on Facebook and twitter. So please take this in consideration

I can’t accept this. If you feel you strongly want it back and want to help, here’s what to do.

First of all, make sure to drop the BBC a complaint (http://www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/). Chances are you’ll receive a stock reply, but at least it’ll be registered. Try and keep it polite though.

Second, follow @SaveDWC on Twitter (https://twitter.com/#!/SaveDWC). The account has almost 6000 followers already and has seen support from Steven Moffat, Neil Gaiman, Tom MacRae, Russell Tovey, the Radio Times and Doctor Who Magazine. There’s also a Facebook page here.

Third, sign the petition that is running here – http://www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/savedwc. At the time of writing it has over 14,000 signatures.

I’ve hoad it up to here with the moff
Since he took over ratings had gone down
Now a perfectly good spin off is being axed what is going on!
The storys this season have been too complicated and rubbish, I mean it’s just a matter of time now before they axe the show itself.
If only Russell.T.Davies was here nothing like this would be happening.

We really need R.T.D back as when he was on the show around 10million minninum would tune in every week.
But this year only 5 million will tune in so obviously the moff’s lost half the audience in just 1 year

RTD has had his time his era was good but it wasn’t completely perfect and the daleks just kept coming back and mostly doing the same thing. I know it wouldn’t be doctor who without the daleks but they just came in and blew stuff up. I prefer Moffat as he makes the show feel more like the classic era. I do like RTD he is a good writer but some of his stories weren’t up to scratch but I like what he does in torchwood and sja(although he had to mention tennants regeneration in death of the doctor. That annoyed me!)

Really bad news, I enjoyed confidential and always watched it after Doctor Who and now gone..
I get this awful feeling that the BBC are trying to kill off Doctor Who due to the cost, first all those rumours about not having a full next season and now confidential.
A shame as I’m a massive fan and Who is about the only thing I still watch BBC for.

The BBC have made a very stupid mistake here. BBC three need to axe the shows that NEED to be axed such as lee nelsons well good show, snog, marry, avoid, eastenders repeats etc etc etc. The only BBC three shows that I’ve seen which are good are russel howards good news and family guy oh and confidential of course. Please confidential come home for Christmas. But I won’t watch if they completely ruin the show like what happened with primeval this year.
