He mentions mirror and the corner of your eye. Does it have to do with The Family of Blood coz doctor trapsthe daughter in every mirror everywhere in existence

I think it’s good that we don’t get explicit footage of each story until a week beforehand; it helps us to focus on the next story rather than one a few episodes ahead.
This, for example. This could be one of the great underrated stories like Enlightenment or Full Circle, but because of the slow build-up we will always associate it with paranoia and anticipation.

“What’s that in the mirror or the corner of your eye?

What’s that footstep following, never passing by?

Perhaps they’re all just waiting, perhaps when we’re all dead

Out they’ll come a-slithering, from underneath the bed.”

    listen!

That writing for the locked and unlocked signs looks similar to writing I’ve seen before, but what episode and where

Hopefully, this won’t be a case of The Unquiet Dead Revisited. After an excellent introductory episode it would be a terrible shame if The Doctor became mediocre.

This is, hopefully, not a case of The Unquiet Dead Revisited…. After an excellent start it would be a shame for The Doctor to become average.

Hmm. Not impressed really. Sounds like another Moffat-pat-on-the-back episode. I hope it does have a good plot. Once we’ve got the first four episodes out of the way, I think this series will be spectacular. It was a slow start with Deep Breath, and while I did like the episode, I would have preferred a two-part episode to the format it was given.

Who am I kidding? I didn’t really like Deep Breath at all. I thought the pre-title sequence bit was amazing, and I love the scene with Vastra and Clara talking about the Doctor and Vastra’s veil. And I mean, Heaven! That is one hell of a plot arc for a science-fiction series! But I found a lot of the episode fairly lackluster and unrealistic (If I find anyone who can hold their breath for that long, I will be amazed. I managed 16 seconds).

Also when the doctor found out there was no air disturbance because no one was breathing him and Clara were still breathing so…….air disturbance

Seeing as this episode is about ghosts from the Doctor and Clara’s own past, I wonder if that might mean we could see the 5th Doctor’s dead companion [and all round annoyance 😀 ] Adric, cos surely Adric’s death has probably haunted the Doctor since for not being able to save him, plus many fan’s believed in 2011’s ‘The God Complex’ that when the Doctor opens the door with ’11’ on it, they thought he was looking at Adric on the other side, until ‘Time of the Doctor’ revealed it to be just a crack.

As for Clara, one of her own ghosts from her past no doubt would be her own mum.
