I reckon Carole Ann Ford should reprise her role as an older Susan, and be a nice surprise for the Christmas Special, and Capaldi’s finale.

One of those screenshots looks like the woodlice under the floorboard the papers leaked months ago.

They weren’t leaked by the papers, Capaldi was talking about them in an interview

The sun has just put out a MASSIVE spoiler with no spoiler tag or warning and has potentially ruined this series for loads of people if it’s true. I’m so annoyed. Everyone just tred carefully for the next few days regarding Doctor Who news online

why show something you dont want people to know about

if you show the press, someone is going to spoil it, they always have

I’m hoping it’s the spoiler thats at the end of the series trailer after episode 1 and it’s just been revealed a little earlier than it should have to my annoyance. That will make it easier to take if it’s something that was going to be revealed next Saturday anyway.

I’ve seen the article. Why oh why didn’t Moffat NOT show the trailer at the press launch. It was bound to get revealed somewhere…and it was likely to be the tabloid press…it sells papers. As tv trailers help pull in viewers.

The sun ruined the big Davros twist last series for me and i just laughed it off as it sounded like total nonsense but then when the episode actually aired I didn’t get the shock factor that everyone else got. Why oh why do I keep running into spoilers. It’s a mine field

Same thing happened to me, except I didn’t read the article and only saw the title. When the episode came about, I was actually saying ‘please don’t be Davros’. At least if this is true, its not going to spoil me anymore, because I’m going to watch the Next Time/Spoiler trailer, because otherwise someone will spoil it for me.

Same just the title ruined it for me, you’d think they’d put a spoiler tag. If you’re going to ruin it at least ruin it with a warning rather than just splashing the headline out for anyone to see

Apparently at the end of the first episode of series 10 there will be another trailer with a huge spoiler. Moffat seems to have advised fans to avoid the trailer if they don’t want to be spoiled. There will be a countdown appearing before a big ‘Huge’ reveal. I wonder what it can be? Susan?…The Valeyard? I reckon it’s one or other. Maybe that regeneration we have seen already with Capaldi’s hand, becomes the Valeyard!

I don’t know what it is, but I’ll have to see the spoiler, otherwise someone will ruin it for me. That, and I watch all the trailers.

They should have the tv quiz show ‘Countdown’ theme tune when the clock ticks down to the big reveal. I’m gonna watch it. Otherwise someone will tell you, or you will see it online anyway. Unless you cut yourself off from the Internet, and the outside world, and become a recluse for the next 12 weeks! 🙂

Exactly, it’s unavoidable. Might as well just watch it and accept the trailer as whatever the big reveal is. Thanks to a Sun article, I think I already know what it is (see above comment from Doctor Stu). If possible, try to avoid it until episode 1 in which it will presumably be revealed at the end. It’s too late for me but it doesn’t have to be for you. 😛

Am hoping that the shot of Missy looking at what seems like a Perspex column may be her TARDIS, I’m not counting on it though, lol.

I reckon its just 12s sadly. But I do hope Missy gets her own TARDIS, preferably the War Doctor’s with darker lighting, Black walls and Purple console lights.

Cybermen, Ice Warriors, Jamie Mathieson, David Suchet… Surely this series is going to be good. I wasn’t the biggest fan overall of series 9 but the individual stories for the most part were brilliant. I don’t think this will disappoint

Maybe the regeneration could be a glimpse into the future. My best guess is that the mummy like looking monsters (not sure what episode they are from) showed Ye doctor or another character his future. It should be interesting to see if this is what happens and how it affects the doctor or whoever see the future. I can’t wait for the 16th (I’m in the Southern Hemisphere)

Yeh I like that idea, showing him a glimpse of his future and then a nice little mini ark of the Doctor trying to find out how he dies or how to stop it happening and then having him ultimately fail and regenerate anyway in the Christmas special

  • Doctor Stu

    April 4th, 2017 - 7:04pm

Maybe his heart stopped and he’s using a tiny bit of regeneration energy to heal himself or something similar. Think it’s probably a red herring

Maybe Capaldi could start regenerating at the end of series 10 (season 36), and could complete his regeneration at the start of series 11 (season 37). Leaving the Christmas Special featuring a completely different Doctor. A past incarnation revisited. Paul McGann would be ideal.

It seems apparent that this regeneration may not be as straight forward as previous, not that ANY have been that straight forward. Could it be a slow regeneration…Maybe just his hands regenerate, and the rest of the regeneration happens in stages. A gradual yet slower and unpredictable regeneration, with the last change being his face, in the Christmas special.

The key to what’s happening with the ‘Regeneration’ is in The Doctor’s coat – he’s wearing the ragged coat in the Regeneration shot that he only wears in the mid-series Dystopian future story. Therefore it won’t be a real Regeneration, it’ll be something that is no doubt aborted when Time is corrected by the end of the story. Clever teasing though.

Or could that story actually happen as a prequel sequel to the rest of the series, meaning it happens after the other episodes?

He wears that coat in the finale though.

@CG Yeah and maybe they might make the series finale into another 3 part episode (eps 11 and 12 and the christmas episode) because ive also seen a lot of people want Peter Capaldi to regenerate facing the mondasian Cybermen, also if the Doctor does hold in all that regeneration energy for that long, i wonder if he would destroy an entire planet which could be the key to destroying the Cybermen in the episode

Looks like being a great series judging by recent trailers. I do feel that Bill and Nardole will work better with Capaldi’s Doctor than Clara. The classic Mondasian Cybermen look brilliant, and is the Doctor regenerating, or is he and we, seeing a glimpse into his future? A premonition maybe?

Do you think this is a sign that he’ll regenerate in the series finale and the Christmas episode will introduce the next Doctor? Or is it just the BBC teasing us? It’s probably the latter though Capaldi’s Doctor regenerating in an episode with Mondasian Cybermen would be rather appropriate.

I have a feeling he will start to regenerate in the series finale but he will hold it all in until the christmas episode where he will regenerate fully into the next incarnation, just like what the 10th doctor did so he could see his previous companions for the last time before he regenerated into the 11th doctor

    • CG

@DalekAgent YESS I hope that is what happens – begins to regenerate end of season….. cliffhanger and maybe even like a 24 hours earlier ahahhha at the beginning of the Christmas special

If regeneration destroys a planet… Abandon ship (or in this case, Abandon NuWho). Seriously, if they used regeneration as a Deus ex Machina again then I’m seriously done with NuWho. Remember when Regeneration was an glowing effect made by a faulty camera as a way to swap between actors playing the Doctor. Yeah, well now it can destroy an entire Dalek Command Ship and Power Temporal Weapons. Not to mention that time where Ten created a duplicate of himself, which is the exact moment Regeneration became too OP.
