March 21st, 2013 - 12:33pmWhile I am looking forward to the return of Doctor Who, I’m not really all that excited about this episode. The Spoonheads look like one of the most ridiculous villains of all time! Honestly, Spoonheads?? From the guy who created The Silence and the Weeping Angels??? Still, I am excited about seeing the Clara that will travel with the Doctor.

DOCTOR WHO ONE
March 19th, 2013 - 11:35amKinda unrelated, but . . . .
The Crimson Horror will be the 100th episode of brand new Doctor Who since the shows return with ‘Rose’ in 2005.
Just a bit of a pity that ‘Journey to the Centre of the Tardis’ will be just before the aforementioned episode at No.99, cos if the upcoming Tardis episode was the 100th instead then I would feel that it would have been a hugh thank you to everyone who has worked on the show since series 1 as a thank you to us fan’s have have watched the new series since day 1 with ‘Rose’ up until now.
Here’s to the next 100 episodes after ‘The Crimson Horror’ !!!!!!!!!!! 😀

DOCTOR WHO ONE
March 19th, 2013 - 4:56pmI didn’t say I’m against them returning. What gave you that idea ?.
I can’t find anywhere on this site that says they are featured in the 2nd half of Series 7, it just says on the description on the Series 7 part 2 DVD and Blu-Ray box sets –
Dust off your bow ties (bow ties ARE cool) and get ready to witness the official introduction of the Doctor’s new companion, Clara Oswald, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman in the opening episode entitled “The Bells of St John”, written by Steven Moffat.
Set in London and featuring iconic landmarks like The Shard and Westminster Bridge, the Doctor has to battle a new enemy, the Spoonheads as he discovers that something sinister is lurking in the Wi-Fi.
Doctor Who Series 7 Part 2 promises to be the biggest and most exciting yet, to coincide with the fantastic Doctor Who 50th Anniversary year. With episodes written by Steven Moffat, Neil Gaiman and Mark Gatiss, the Doctor will have to outwit foes, both old and new including Cybermen and Ice Warriors.
Doctor Who actor Matt Smith will be joined a stellar list of guest stars including: Celia Imrie; Richard E Grant; Warwick Davies, Jessica Raine; Dougray Scott and Tamzin Outhwaite, as well as for the first time on screen together, mother and daughter ‘combo’ Dame Diana Rigg and Rachael Stirling.

DOCTOR WHO ONE
March 19th, 2013 - 8:07amAnonymous – I doubt it will turn out to be the Daleks mate. I don’t think they will be in an of this 2nd half of series 7, as theres been no mention of them at all, plus ‘Ancient Enemy’ doesn’t necessarily mean the Daleks, it could mean the Cybermen, who are back soon in ‘The Last Cyberman’.

March 18th, 2013 - 7:11pmPeople’s souls are being uploaded to the internet. “It’s like immortality, only fatal,” states Miss Kizlet. It’s all part of a service she’s offering her mysterious, unseen “Client”. But who or what could it be? It’s a juicy reveal when it comes.

March 18th, 2013 - 7:07pma another new clip from the bells of saint john has been released by BBC worldwide
DOCTOR WHO ONE
March 18th, 2013 - 6:03pmI hope that once these final 8 episodes of series 7 have finally been scene, the 8th new series of Doctor Who will go back to the traditional 13 week run like series 1 to 5 did with no interruptions or breaks between episodes, cos a lot of us fan’s where not happy with the 2011 series split in half during the year between the Summer of 2011, and having series 7 split between this year and last year is also annoying, so I hope 2014 will see the return of a proper 13 episode new series without it being split in 2 by the time Doctor Who – Series 8 gets underway.
The TARDIS
March 18th, 2013 - 6:39pmI agree- the break thing was an interesting idea but it just doesn’t work. The original theory was so that you were, to quote Steven Moffat, “never more than three months away from a new episode”. But then, we have to go from December through to September and even I know that’s not three months.
The TARDIS
March 18th, 2013 - 6:39pmBy the time you’re beginning to get int the series, it’s over again, that’s another problem.
The TARDIS
March 18th, 2013 - 6:46pmI also really hope we leave behind this ridiculous movie theme… It just doesn’t suit the show. Everything feels too rushed, subtleties get wiped away in favour of big set pieces. I just feel as though Doctor Who is going down a road it doesn’t belong in. Does anyone else feel the same way, or is it just me?
Anonymous
March 18th, 2013 - 7:38pmI like the movie posters, it gives each episode a feeling of a single epic adventure! I don’t mind the split but only if we have 13 episodes in the year, not like last year, then we don’t have long to wait!
I don’t mind how the episodes are split but only if we have 13 episodes, but I like the movie posters, however I wish we had at least 1 two parter!
The TARDIS
March 18th, 2013 - 7:56pmI like the posters, they make each episode feel special. I just don’t like the rushed feel of each episode.
The TARDIS
March 18th, 2013 - 7:58pmI appreciate that lots of people like the movie thing, it just doesn’t do it for me.
Cymon Hodson
March 18th, 2013 - 10:30pmI agree, if you think about it we have actually lost a series because season 7 was split over 2 years. Personally, I’d like to get back to 13 episodes and a Christmas special
The Supreme Dalek
March 19th, 2013 - 7:53amYes, I agree with people there. First of all, remember the wait between Series 6-7? I know it usually is a year to wait, but when there’s a Christmas Special 6 months down the line, that’s not too bad. But with Series 6, the Christmas Special was on 2-3 months later, meaning we had a longer time to wait for Series 7 (10 months!!). So that can be a problem now with the Series split. Also, I think we should still have at least 1 two parter, and I hope now that there’s no two parters in this series, it doesn’t mean we probably won’t get anymore until Moffaf leaves….
The TARDIS
March 19th, 2013 - 4:14pmThat’s a good point! Because now Moffat will find it hard to go back to “traditional” episodes after the movie theme. He’ll think whatever he does next will never be as big as them, so it won’t be as good. The movie of the week thing is really a one- way street, although I hope I’m wrong.
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
March 18th, 2013 - 4:53pmlooks good!
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
March 18th, 2013 - 4:53pmhappy they carried on with the film theme
The TARDIS
March 18th, 2013 - 5:03pmI’m not… I’d much rather have traditional episodes as a way of celebrating the fiftieth. I know not many people agree with me, but still…

March 18th, 2013 - 3:39pmIt mentions an old enemy I wonder who it might be
drjakeyoung
March 18th, 2013 - 3:42pmit says ancient enemy, which imply’s it’s just a really old enemy, not that the doctor has met it before. Although, he might have…
McGann is the Doctor.
March 18th, 2013 - 3:55pmWould Richard E Grant count as an old enemy ?
He’s really quite new in terms of enemies, but he’s old, so, old enemy ?
Nag, by Doctor Who villain standards he’s pretty young.

March 21st, 2013 - 12:28pmI hope it’s Davros and the Daleks, but I wouldn’t mind seeing Omega, Sutekh, or Fenric. They were some of the most effective, and in the latter two’s case, some of the scariest Doctor Who villains of all time!
