Doctor Who The Zygon Invasion Preview Clip
The Zygons, a race of shapeshifting aliens, have been living in secret among us on Earth, unknown and unseen – until now!
When Osgood is kidnapped by a rogue gang of Zygons, the Doctor, Clara and UNIT must scatter across the world in a bid to set her free. But will they reach her in time, and can they stop an uprising before itโs too late?

November 7th, 2015 - 5:02pmThe time approaches to consult the Space Time Visualiser as to when the programme goes out in the remaining weeks, lol.

October 31st, 2015 - 10:12pmHannnggg on how did osgood survive again?
Evans the coward
October 31st, 2015 - 4:14pmWhy oh why do people think osgood is a duplicate? Zygons use body print technology and need to have the target in the tech. Thus if she is dead they can’t duplicate her.
A
November 1st, 2015 - 6:55amThe writers have changed the rules, um, I mean the Zygons have learnt new abilities. They can now take the shape of the memory of someone from a person they are close to (the UNIT soldier’s mother for example) so Osgood shouldn’t be a problem. Let’s face it Osgood was never in the tech anyway. She escaped with the help of the stupidly long scarf soon after the Zygon duplicated her & yet the Zygon kept the Osgood persona. The survivor could be either & the story conclusion may not tell us any more than Osgood will.

October 31st, 2015 - 5:44amLooking forward to this episode, but not to Face The Raven. Even though i originally was, i have just found out that Maisie Williams is to appear for a third time in the series.
The plot for Face The Raven says that Doctor, Clara and Rigsy enter a strange street, but they wont ALL make it out alive.
I now think MW will replace Jenna Coleman as the companion. I really, really hope that is not going to happen.

October 31st, 2015 - 11:26amTo: Say No To Ashildr/Me, where did you find the synopsis for “Face the Raven”?!
Say No To Ashildr/Me
November 1st, 2015 - 1:05amLord President (it actually felt weird typing that btw). The synopsis was in the Radio Times when it featured the series 9 episode guide.

October 30th, 2015 - 10:02pmMuch as I quite like the Zygons I would be more excited about the return of the original Silurians and ESPECIALLY the Sea Devils.

Doctor Stu
October 30th, 2015 - 8:41pmSurely when their memories were wiped In TDOTD it should have only erased up until the point where they entered the black archive so the real Osgood would retain all her real osgood memories and the zygon would retain all of its zygon memories so it should surely remember itself transforming into Osgood and if not it should at least have memories of itself being a zygon so how can there be confusion as to who’s a zygon and who’s a human. It’s not like transforming into osgood completely replaced zygon memories all together otherwise that would be a stupid power to have. Does that make sense
A
November 1st, 2015 - 6:34amYes…and no. The Doctors did not wipe their memories, either fully or within the black archive. They made both parties forget which side they were on so the peace would completely fair because neither side was biased. However, I think the implication was that Osgood remembered & trusted her other with the secret when offering the inhaler. Probably why they were trusted with the “Osgood Box”.

October 29th, 2015 - 8:25pmnever been more exited for doctor who, i love zygons.
A
October 29th, 2015 - 4:02pmWhen the Doctors made the Zygons & Humans forget which were which, only one of the Osgoods knew the truth. From what was on screen, I think that was Human Osgood (she had the inhaler last). So I’m thinking maybe the Zygon Osgood was inspired by her. This could mean the Zygon Osgood was trying to live her (it’s?) life like Human Osgood after the peace talks & was the one who died on the plane. It’s also possible Zygon Osgood chose to retain the shape after the death of the Human version for the same reason despite the consequences an anonymous post explains below.
Or, of course, time travel as many others have said.
I’d personally quite like Osgood to be the next companion, whether she’s Human or Zygon. In fact a Zygon choosing to copy a deceased person could be quite intriguing…
Lord President
October 28th, 2015 - 11:52pmIs it an invasion? Really? Think about it? Question: The Zygons have being living amongst us on Earth since 23 November 2013, unseen and unnoticed. Only now do they decide fight and takeover! So if they’re already here for years, is it an INVASION, or an UPRISING?? Answer: No! Of course it isn’t an invasion! A better title would’ve been: “The Zygon Uprising” or the “The Zygon Revolution”! (In my OPINION)
Doctor Stu
October 28th, 2015 - 10:38pmEveryone is convinced Osgood is a zygote but maybe osgood is the real osgood and its Kate that’s actually the zygon I don’t know I’m clutching at straws

October 28th, 2015 - 8:59pmI’ve rewatched this clip SOO many times and tried to convince myself that the electric zap looks realistic….. But I can’t!! I mean it’s such an excellent clip that to let it down with shabby effects really annoys me as I am a huge Zygon fan!! Other effects in the ep. better not be this bad! Cast yourself back to Easter Saturday 2011, series 6 episode 1: “The Impossible Astronaut”, we were introduced to one of Moffat’s best creations; The Silence! The scene in the bathroom where the Silent zaps the American woman looked so much better and realistic!! That was over FOUR years ago and the electric effects were 1,000,000 times better!! Annoying! But can’t wait for the ep!!

October 28th, 2015 - 2:30pmThe only thing that lets his clip down is FX of the Zygon’s laser powerโน๏ธ Until this I thought the FX in this series were really good, like top notch quality for TV!!! But these FX in this clip look like 2006 quality!! Really feel like they could have done a better job!

Lord President
October 26th, 2015 - 7:59pmI hate to be a pessimist, but as my good friend Han Solo would say; “I’ve gotta bad feelin’ about this!” Don’t get me wrong, it looks and sounds AMAZING, but that’s the problem! It always seems to be the case that whenever an episode LOOKS great, it can disappoint! (With one or two exceptions) Bear in mind it is also written, mainly, by Peter Harness! Who is the writer of the atrocity that was “Kill the Moon”!!! But I do hope the episode is great as I am a HUGE fan of the Zygons!! I just worry, that’s all! This is Lord President, out!!

October 30th, 2015 - 11:08pmAnonymous, you didn’t understand Lord President’s comment. It was about being so excited that it’s actually easy to be disappointed. When your expectations are high, you pay attention to every detail. When you don’t expect that much, you overlook some mistakes because, in many cases, it’s better than you expected. As simple as that. The only complaint was about Peter Harness being the writer for the episode.
I hope it’ll be great because it looks fantastic but I’m a bit concerned about it as well, especially after the last two episodes.

October 28th, 2015 - 1:08pmI think the one in Death in Heaven was a Zygon. The real Osgood needs to be alive for the Zygon copy to keep her form.

October 15th, 2015 - 6:44pmI predict that Osgood is her zygon counterpart from “Day of the Doctor”!! Except if Osgood did really die in “Death in Heaven” then sure the zygon can’t retain the image because they need to copy their victims alive to refresh the image?!?! But, I’m sure they’ll scrap this rule to make an interesting story…

October 25th, 2015 - 9:16pmBig Finish scrapped that rule in The Zygon who fell to Earth and Death in Blackpool – they can no longer change, get stuck in one form, and do deteriorate, but can hang around for a couple of decades.

October 15th, 2015 - 5:56pm“when Osgood is kidnapped”…. Seriously. Osgood is dead! Missy exploded her on the plane!
I still say that its not the human Osgood.
And to be quite honest, not all that excited about this two parter as i find the Zygons quite boring.

October 16th, 2015 - 1:30amYep. Death in Heaven was the episode. Last thing Osgood heard was Missy tellin her to ‘say something nice’ then kablammo, Missy was stood on a crashing plane, ankle deep in Osgood dust and then flew off the plane

October 17th, 2015 - 9:39amThere’s 2 Osgood’s. One Zygon. One human. The Zygon one was killed by Missy.
CJ
October 17th, 2015 - 9:46amAh but it could of been the human Osgood… So I guess we have to wait and find out
Anonymous
October 17th, 2015 - 5:29pmIt could be the human Osgood that died, with the Zygon being the survivor. They can sustain a body for decades is required without the template surviving, the only problem is they get jammed in it and can no longer morph and without their shape shifting their bodies begin to break down and they die. Rather horrible stuff but it happens in the end.
Plus, we need to remember Osgood was nowhere to be seen in The Power of Three, which is set sometime in the near future, probably into the early 2020s (the dates aren’t all that clear, Dinosaurs on a Spaceship is certainly into 2017/18 if I remember correctly).

October 16th, 2015 - 9:22pmYeh but Russell T Davies’ deaths had a big impact they where tragic and emotional whereas Steven moffats deaths don’t make me feel anything because I just think they’ll turn up again in a few episodes
DOCTOR WHO ONE
October 15th, 2015 - 3:43pmI bet David Tennant wished this 2 parter was one of his stories, since his often said the Zygon’s was one of his real favorites from the classic series days and he wished his Doctor had faced them, apart from being with them in ‘The Day of the Doctor’ off course.
A
October 24th, 2015 - 2:00pmIf they’d been really cleaver, they could have had a David Tennant guest/cameo in this episode. Having established the reason for Doctor 12’s face & that the Doctor sometimes remembers out of order, an appearace by DT could have reretrospectively explained 10’s face & given him another Zygon ep.

October 28th, 2015 - 3:38pmYeah but David did get a zygon episode
