Easter Treats at the Doctor Who Experience

  • Walking Tours re-launch for 2015
  • Brand new props installed

The Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff Bay celebrates the Easter holiday with the return of the ‘Official Doctor Who Filming Locations Tour’, a carefully curated walking tour of Cardiff Bay hosted by the Doctor Who Experience.

Fans, families and visitors to Cardiff will have the opportunity to get closer to the show, as the walking tour takes in more than 40 filming locations for Doctor Who, the well-loved sci-fi series.

The 75 minute tour will takes fans into parts of Cardiff Bay which were used to double for different cities and planets from episodes across the last 10 years including those from the recent S8 featuring Peter Capaldi as the Doctor and Jenna Coleman as Clara Oswald. The tour will run over Easter weekend (Friday 3rd to Monday 6th April) and Thursday 9th, Friday 10th, Saturday 11th April. Tours will then continue every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 17th April to 27th June 2015.

Also at Easter, the Doctor Who Experience welcomes a wealth of new props and costumes from S8 in perfect time for the holidays. Featured items include outfits worn by Jenna Coleman as Clara Oswald from three episodes: ‘Kill the Moon’, ‘Mummy on the Orient Express’ and ‘Flatline’.

The new props will join earlier S8 popular installations from the series including the Half-face man from ‘Deep Breath’ as well as pieces from ‘Robot of Sherwood’ and the Skovok Blitzer from ‘The Caretaker’.

Oh… My… God… People think this is a WORLD TOUR?! Yeah, because people are definitely going to walk around the world in 75 minutes to all the filming destinations in Cardiff

“Er… We’ll pick up sections of Cardiff leaving gaping holes in the ground, and then take huge areas on the biggest planes and ships ever, all around the world!”

Also, this isn’t an official BBC Website… Did anyone actually read this article, or know about this entire website before comenting? -_-

ok how exactly are they supposed to take parts of cardiff and take it to another country??? it’s a walking tour for the public around places that were sets for doctor who, not the cast going on a tour !!!! they can’t just move the sets bc they are places in cardiff !!

Unless they take the whole of Cardiff with them, the tour is NOT going ‘across the Pond in the U.S. From the east coast to the west coast’.

Guys, you’re not getting a tour in America. It is a tour round the sets in CARDIFF in WALES as part of the DOCTOR WHO EXPERIENCE.

Don’t think people understand that the walking tours couldn’t be taken anywhere else, they’re specifically a tour of the locations used around Cardiff for the filming of Doctor Who
