I would like to see, not in this series but in some future Capaldi series, the crack is spitting out stuff from the Time War. I’m thinking The Master, Daleks, The Rani, and some other ‘unseen’ aliens that could’ve been invloved in the Time War?

No need, we already have Daleks from the Time War ruled over by the New Paradigm, the Master presumably was sent back to Gallifrey with Rassilon in The End of Time, and the Rani could have been anywhere, they just need to explain her presence. It would be interesting, though, to see a few of the horrors of the Time War beyond the Daleks and corrupt Time Lords.

This is my theory for series 8 – let me know what you think.

There are hints of Gallifray returns (perhaps the crack in time will once more re-appear) but also signs that all is not what it should be – perhaps the crack is getting considerably smaller.

Then at the end of the series we see both the Time Lords and the Daleks return along with Davros. They have discovered Gallifrays location and plan to either destroy it for good or start the Time War anew.

The Doctor will have to make an impossible decision – allow the Time War to start all over again or destroy both his home world and the Time Lords for ever and wipe out the Daleks with them.

Have you even watch the Day of the Doctor darylcharles? The 11th, 10th and War Doctors sorted it out so that the Daleks are now shooting at each other by destroying themselves so they can save Gallifrey by freezing it!!!

Yes, but they’re not the only Daleks in existance are they? If Gallifray is in another universe they may have found it!

I Have a theory about his regeneration cycle is that his emotions are locked to each regeneration, and now the cycle is reset, he could go through all of his personalities again. This means that Capaldi would end up similar to the first Doctor. He could be grumpy and old like the first but maybe more energetic and lively. Hidden beneath the tough exterior could be a loving man with passion burning through his heart. It would be a clever use of the idea of the cycle being reset but it also means that the personalities of the Doctor would become predictable. This could end up making regeneration a little less exiting when we know how the Doctor will act

He was nasty Villain which he took out a Police detective wife in Thief Takers. The guy who play Charlie Scott should do villain maybe the next master to get him back for it.

      January 9th, 2014 - 5:12pm

Matt Smith’s Series 5-6 TARDIS was the main one, the one toys and playsets were made of. The newest one was made because they couldn’t get the old one in the new studios. Peter Capaldi is almost definately keeping this TARDIS.

It was updated for the 50th Anniversary as well, with a new floor and lighting.

Capaldi won’t be on a one year contract, after Eccelston they wouldn’t let Tenannt or Smith sign up for just one series so I’d assume the same applies for Capaldi.

Companions though are normally year by year though so it’s all up to her.

no he would be signed for one contract because what if he got through his one series and everone hated him they have got see how he gets on a decide if they should keep him or not

There’s nothing wrong with a hat. While Matt Smith’s Doctor did have a bit of an amusing quirk regarding hats, the Fourth, Fifth, and Seventh Doctors all consistently wore hats without making much of it.

    • Obsie

      January 9th, 2014 - 12:43am

I take your point, but TOO much was made of it and it began to grate. Like snow, it’s nice for a while but loses it’s novelty as it goes on. Interesting to note Patrick Troughton’s “stove pipe” and Jon Pertwee’s (“Spearhead from…”) were soon lost somewhere along the way. It’s only a personal feeling ,I don’t want an Act of Parliament banning them altogether, just a little less please.

      January 9th, 2014 - 1:57pm

I see you’re point, just remember, every good Doctor differs from his predecessor, and I’m sure Capaldi is no exception, not just in age, but in dress sense. I doubt he’ll have the weakness for hats that Matt’s Doctor did.

    • Obsie

      January 9th, 2014 - 3:25pm

Well said! Since Capaldi has been a lifelong fan of the show, I have a strong feeling that he will rebel against any form of pantomime portrayal. I love the way each Doctor seems to scorn his former sartorial choices and stamps his own unique style on a long established character. There nothing wrong with a bit of freshness.

Sea Devils would be interesting, Autons are awesome-tons, and a story where Strax is forced to confront his Sontaran brethren would be an enjoyable moral dilemma that I’m sure many fans would appreciate, and I’d personally love an episode with the Master and Rassilon, but I’d rather not see the fart-joke Slitheen again, and the Kandyman is dead, and works as a (Surprisingly threatening) one-off villain.

Raston Warrior Robot = pure win! 😀 You can’t have the Whispermen without the Great Intelligence, though, as they are one and the same.

    • Gallifrey Will Rise Again

      January 21st, 2014 - 12:05am

I believe that the great intelligence took the form and characteristics of the race known as the whispermen as opposed to the great intelligence literally creating them for the purposes of capturing strax, madame vastra, and temporally killing jenny flint to force the doctor to visit trenzalore to try and save them. Thus of course these events resulting in clara splicing herself through the doctors timeline and probably a good explanation as to why future doctor peter capaldi had human incarnations of himself working for the british government in torchwood children of earth and as Caecilius in The Fires of Pompeii, and possibly (just my thoughts) splicing past incarnations of the doctor in human form just like tom baker aka the 4th doctor as the narrator in the day of the doctor. Im going to stop now or my head will explode :).

    • Dalek the Supreme

      January 7th, 2014 - 7:53pm

Undoubtedly he will have a new costume, as every Doctor before has assembled a new costume to separate himself from his previous incarnations. The only possibility indicating this is that Matt Smith’s final costume retained nothing from the original, except MAYBE for the boots, and even that is a pretty hollow argument, as Tom Baker, Sylvester McCoy, and Paul McGann had completely new costumes by their regeneration stories.

    • McGann is the Doctor

      January 7th, 2014 - 10:47pm

what are you talking about Dalek supreme? Matt’s final costume was the same overall silhouette and you have the trousers the bowtie the suspenders, the boots

so what if they were new variations, Tom Baker had a different scarf in his last series, and Matt Smith already had an updated bowtie, jacket, shirt, boots, trousers for his 2011 series ❗

    • Dalek the Supreme

      January 8th, 2014 - 11:10pm

I noticed Matt Smith’s trousers in The Impossible Astronaut looked like blue jeans while watching the commentary for the episode, while in Series 5 his trousers were clearly black, and I mentioned how the boots were possibly the same. Also, if you notice, he wears a greyish blue bow tie in Series 7B, but a burgundy red or a dark blue one in Series 5. Also, he switched the suspenders for a vest in Series 7B

I did also mention how the idea that he may wear Matt Smith’s costume since it’s completely different from the first is a far-fetched argument a best, and even mentioned how Tom Baker as well as Sylvester McCoy and Paul McGann had completely different costumes in their respective regeneration stories.
