January 25th, 2014 - 8:04pmI reckon capaldi and Jenna are laugthing at matt leaving the show ( Joke)
DOCTOR WHO ONE
January 26th, 2014 - 8:12amIt’s said that when Matt left, Jenna said to him jokingly “You dumped me !!” 😀
Confused
January 24th, 2014 - 10:34pmApologies if this is glaringly obvious. In bells of St. John 23 and 16 are left out of the list in Clara’s book. Does anyone know why?
DOCTOR WHO ONE
January 25th, 2014 - 5:21pmPerhaps when she was 16 and 23 years of age, she may have never done anything involving the book, and therefore when she was both 16 and 23 years of age, she never crossed out her previous age and wrote her current one into it.
Either that, or on both occations – She forgot !! 😀
Obsie
January 25th, 2014 - 7:53pmEither that or somehow the Silent have raised their horrible little heads somewhere along the line again.
Eternal
January 23rd, 2014 - 6:52pmThis is my NEW theory:
I think the crack in time will still be prominant in series 8. As the 11th Doctor failed to ‘piece it back together again’ that resulted in the Time Lords managining to send him a message from Gallifray which is trapped in another Universe.
So, if they can send a message through the crack then surley something else which is more powerful brake through into our Universe?
I think that that something could be Davros and the Daleks. I reckon after Journeys End Davros somehow got nto the same Universe as Gallifray and has built a new race of Daleks. Obviously these Daleks and Davros would probably know about Gallifray so may the Doctor will have to make a new choice as a result:
1). Allow the Daleks to attack Gallifray and let the Time War begin anew OR
2). Destroy Gallifray for good to prevent this happening and (of course) destroy the Daleks and Davros.
Thats what I think – please share your opinions on my theory!!!
DOCTOR WHO ONE
January 24th, 2014 - 3:33pmI doubt we will see the crack again. They was just a Matt Smith Era only thing really, plus they only really used the Crack to repeat the ‘Doctor Who ?’ message into our universe and give the Doctor his complete new life cycle of regenerations, so there’s no needs for cracks again.
I don’t like the idea of Davros being in the parallel pocket universe with the Time Lords, cos if your assuming his on Gallifrey, then he’d be their prisoner.
Plus, many of us want the Doctor to bring back the Time Lord’s and Gallifrey now that we know they was not killed by him along with their planet.

The Moffat Paradox
January 19th, 2014 - 8:08pmHope it’s indeed more out with Timey Wimey and obsession with things like Fezzes and in with a more serious and focused Doctor like Jon Pertwee.Though the brief scene we saw of Peter Capaldi in the 50th special reminded me of 80’s comedian Phil Cool impersonating an Atlantean in Stingray.
Dont suppose we’ll see any Venussian Karate being used? Surey every incarnation of the Doctor beside the third should be able to exhibit that physical skill?
da!

DOCTOR WHO ONE
January 16th, 2014 - 7:06pmBit of a kick in the teeth for us Doctor Who fan’s today.
A planet that was discovered last year called ‘HD 106906 b’ which is said to look like Gallifrey will sadly not be renamed Gallifrey after a Doctor Who fan Sam Manhennet did an online petition to have it renamed Gallifrey, but sadly the IAU [International Astronomical Union] won’t change the name to Gallifrey.

Dalek the Supreme
January 16th, 2014 - 12:35amI’ve noticed a fun thing about the Eleventh Doctor’s regeneration as well as a sad thing.
The fun thing is that the Eleventh Doctor went out as he lived: breaking the rules.
The sad thing is that even though it was in his timeline Gallifrey was saved, that incarnation never lived long enough to see it saved.
DALEKSKITTLES
January 14th, 2014 - 9:35pmHas anyone noticed the chair oswin sits in, in asylum of the daleks, is the same chair jenny sits on when she blasts off in the shuttle at the end of the doctors daughter???

January 15th, 2014 - 8:16am[Makes comparisons with images on Google from both episodes] Well I’ll be damned, so it is !!. Well spotted Dalek Skittles, you’ve just earned yourself a weekend trip into time and space with Clara and the new Doctor 😀

January 15th, 2014 - 3:28pmHahaha! Well if you type in oswins chair on google there are other websites who have noticed and put two pictures of Jenny and oswin in there chairs for comparison, but I noticed it before I look on the internet haha I wanted to see if anyone else noticed and of course they did cos there’s millions of fans out there! Lol 😛

January 13th, 2014 - 8:17pmHey I had thought about the 12th Doctor not having a Sonic Screwdriver! Instead How about the Sonic Cane from Let’s Kill Hitler??? This would make the Doctor appear much more mature. It would give him an older look but he can still move around like a madman at a fast pace, but with the cane the show would be much more relaxed. For the sake of the show, the screwdriver should also be able to detach from the cane itself, so the Doctor can sneak around with it when he needs to.
Anonymous
January 13th, 2014 - 8:18pmI would love that! 🙂
Anonymous
January 13th, 2014 - 8:22pmI also thought he might have a dark side! I mean If Matt was the man child, Capaldi should be the polar opposite. After his regeneration and during his scene in The Day of the Doctor, we saw something daring, something bold. Capaldi looked like a hunter, his anger aimed at anyone in his way. While the Doctor would never use a gun or hurt the innocent, he can still be angry. If you make the wrong move, this Doctor should hunt you down and turn you into dust. He could even start to show signs of the Valeyard, but if so, should keep it down to a minimum.

January 13th, 2014 - 8:24pmwe need another hartlell
Anonymous
January 13th, 2014 - 8:25pmAnd Heres his loving Side So the Doctor could be a nightmare for his enemies, what about his companions? This is where he can show his loving side. While there should be no making out with other companions (I think I’ve seen enough of that from the past few Doctors), I still think he can show his love for humans. I believe that when it comes to his companions, he should act as if he was a father taking his son out on a day trip. The companions are almost like his family and thus, I think we should see that. If a Dalek so much as looks at a companion, I want to see the Doctor go into a powerful rage and destroy the Dalek. Shouting at his companions because they won’t listen to his instructions is another way to show this love. Even if it hurts their feelings, the Time Lord is only trying to protect them from disaster.

Jammy2305
January 14th, 2014 - 11:48amEssentially you just summed up McCoy – The cane being his umbrella (Didn’t have a sonic)and his personality being a mix of kindess toward Ace, but manipulation and ruthlessness towards his enemies. Plus, they’ll both have scottish accents!
The Gold Guardian
January 14th, 2014 - 3:56pmI had the same thought about the Sonic Cane!
I also agree about a dark side for him!
It seems all Whovians are on the same wavelength for once!!

January 17th, 2014 - 8:59pmOver 250 stories, over 700 episodes, what’s wrong with a bit of classic? After all, it was just the 50th Anniversary.
Ryan Rowley
January 13th, 2014 - 8:06pmI think that having a new doctor that is old will make the show less for kids since the 10th doctor it has turned into a kiddy show.
Lauren Cooper
January 14th, 2014 - 10:38pmyes. But you don’t have to be young to ACT young
Scott’s TARDIS
January 16th, 2014 - 7:43pmSorry, but for me it was 11 who turned it into a kiddies show.
The Gold Guardian
January 17th, 2014 - 9:37pmNo, it was MOFFAT who turned it into a childrens show, Matt was just the unfortunate actor who was The Doctor at the time!! (and a damn fine one too may I add)
BTW I was formerly The Gold Guardian!
😉
Jo
January 13th, 2014 - 4:23pmI like that the new doctor is older again. As much as I loved the previous ones, the youth thing was getting a little … old. This Doctor should be refreshing – even if he’s not so fresh-faced.
What I’d really like to see is a MALE companion, though. (Not just the boyfriend of the typical female companion, but a male companion in his own right.)
DOCTOR WHO ONE
January 13th, 2014 - 4:55pmWell, we had Rory not long ago, but yeah, another male companion would be nice.
Jammy2305
January 14th, 2014 - 11:49amBut as stated, Rory was another boyfriend character… We need another Jamie!

DALEKSKITTLES
January 12th, 2014 - 5:32pmI want to see NO daleks they’ve been overused or if they are gonna bring them back, they should make new better daleks! I’m so sick of seeing the time war daleks, their design is boring now and there’s nothing new or exciting with them anymore
DOCTOR WHO ONE
January 12th, 2014 - 7:04pmSomeone else on this site said recently that they have to use the Daleks every year, otherwise their rights to use them in the series get revoked by the Terry Nation Estate who are the original owners of the copyrights.
They need to bring back Davros good and proper, and reintroduce the Special Weapons Gunner Dalek with a brand new design, and perhaps introduce the concept of Spider Daleks and Striders from the John Peel 8th Doctor novel ‘War of the Daleks’.
Anonymous
January 12th, 2014 - 7:09pmnot having the daleks is like not having the tardis
MasterKasterborous
January 13th, 2014 - 7:29pmDOCTOR WHO ONE, I’d like to see some actual evidence of that. There were only in Series 6 for about 30 seconds mind.
And anonymous, the Daleks weren’t in Seasons 5*,6*,7,8*,13,14,15,16,18*,19,20*,23,24,26 or 32** and we don’t discredit almost half of the series because of a lack of appearance.
*seen on a screen or in someones thoughts
**very brief appearance
Anonymous
January 13th, 2014 - 8:09pmthe new rule has been running about the daleks having to appear every year has been happening since nation died so yes DOCTOR WHO ONE is right.
p.s the dalek did actually appear in season 32 they appeared in the wedding of river song 🙂
Anonymous
January 13th, 2014 - 8:11pmand yes there apperence in season 32 was only 30 seconds but an appearance is an apperence 🙂
Dalek the Supreme
January 14th, 2014 - 2:14pmI wouldn’t mind seeing the Daleks again if they can still come up with something new to do with them or add to the characters’ mythology, like in Asylum of the Daleks. I have to admit, I’d like to see Julian Bleach return as Davros, too, as long as his presence doesn’t outshine that of the Daleks themselves. What I really want to see most of all is the New Paradigm Daleks used to their full extent. While the design is extremely controversial, it’s hard to deny the hidden weapon, color-coded ranks, and the mysterious purpose of the Eternal Dalek hold some potential.
MasterKasterborous
January 14th, 2014 - 11:52pmBut Annnonymous, that doesn’t provide any evidence. Just because there is a correlation does not imply causation. Where has this ‘rule’ been said?
USA FAN
January 12th, 2014 - 4:28pmI know that’s Matt Smith’s costume, but it looks good on Capaldi. I think he should keep it and maybe add a regular tie or a cravat. No Doctor has ever kept their old clothes before, that would be a nice change.
Anonymous
January 12th, 2014 - 4:48pmno the doctor’ clothes kind of relsemble there character it is there symbol and if he wore this then he would be the same as smith
DOCTOR WHO ONE
January 12th, 2014 - 5:12pmI agree with Anonymous, every Doctor defines their appearance by their choice of outfit, it would look right if say, the 5th Doctor decided to wear the clothes of the 4th Doctor, or if the 10th Doctor decided to keep wearing the clothes of the 9th Doctor. It just wouldn’t be right.
DOCTOR WHO ONE
January 12th, 2014 - 5:13pmIt’s wouldn’t look right, not would look right, sorry all 😀

The 4th Doctor started using it by the time it was the 80’s. It then ended up being used on the collars of the 5th and 6th Doctors, while the 7th had a question marked pull over and question mark shaped handle for his umbrella.

Scott’s TARDIS
January 14th, 2014 - 7:38amNope. The 4th Doctors question marks were gold and the shirt had stretched out collars, The Fifth Doctor’s question marks were red with a plain shirt, The Sixth Doctor’s shirt had red question marks with a chequered stripe down the middle of the buttons, and The a Seventh Doctor’s shirt didn’t have any question marks on it. Hope this helps

Dalek the Supreme
January 14th, 2014 - 2:18pmThe fez and other such eccentric hats were an attribute of Matt’s Doctor. Peter Capaldi, like any new Doctor before him, is playing a new Doctor. He’s still the Doctor, but he also has elements of his own added to the mix.
Lauren Cooper
January 12th, 2014 - 7:42amdamn no bow tie! I am bovvered!! 🙁
Dalek the Supreme
January 14th, 2014 - 2:19pmThe dropping of the bow tie was symbolic of the end of Matt’s era, and while it did suit the Eleventh Doctor, the Twelfth Doctor needs to develop his own style.
Lauren Cooper
January 14th, 2014 - 10:40pmvery true still it makes it quite funny
Dalek the Supreme
January 16th, 2014 - 12:27amMany fans have gotten upset at how often the line has been used. While I consider the bow tie a fundamental part of the Eleventh Doctor’s fashion sense and believe the costume just wouldn’t look right without a bow tie, it would be more suitable for the next Doctor to have a different main costume piece. For Tom Baker, it was a scarf, for Peter Davison, it was a celery stick, and for Matt Smith, it was a bow tie. As for Peter Capaldi, we’ll see.
