Doctor Who: Brand New Ice Warrior Picture

Doctor Who: New Ice Warrior Picture

From www.sfx.co.uk

Here’s your first good look at the new Ice Warrior design. It’ll make its debut in the third episode of Doctor Who series 7b, written by Mark Gatiss and directed by Douglas Mackinnon. Very faithful, isn’t it? Is he wearing old-fashioned 3D glasses in anticipation of November’s anniversary special, or is that just a trick of the light?

Producer Caro Skinner discusses the new series of Doctor Who, from Ice Warriors to Cybermen and all points inbetween, in the next issue of SFX, #233 – on sale Wednesday 6 March with a Doctor Who cover.

They are near the original but in my opinion they look too bulky and hi-tech with all there new battle armour.

They’ve stayed as close to the original design as they can! They can’t have the exact same design from the 60’s and 70’s. It just wouldn’t work. They have to adapt to keep up with the modern day audience. Basically saying, that they need to make changes to keep viewers sucked in and like Booboo stated before, Bubble Wrap painted green doesn’t work anymore!

Nothing special, only the hands have changed, plus you can’t really alter the look of an Ice Warrior anyway as far as I can see.

I did recently however draw and upload a drawing onto Deviant Art where I drew what an Ice Warrior looks like in the series, and beside it, what I think they probably do look like underneath the armour, cos we really don’t get to see an Ice Warrior without it’s gear off, let alone a helmet. The upload is called –

Doctor Who – Under the armour of an Ice Warrior.

I think Moffat’s finally got it, i think he’s got how to redesign monsters and name them, now only if he hadn’t called the creature of the first episode of the season Spoonheads

In my opinion, the Kandyman could be terrifying at times! If only they’d given him more than one incredibly chilling scene where he’s captured the Doctor…
