Idris costume / Tardis at Doctor Who Experience

Idris costume and Tardis at Doctor Who Experience

The Costume warn by Idris and the “junk” Tardis are now on display at The Doctor Who Experience. The Doctor Who Experience runs at London’s Olympia until November. Tickets are on sale at www.doctorwhoexperience.com.

During August when you visit the Doctor Who Experience you can take part in a range of free activities including interactive ‘Walk Like a Monster’ Masterclasses and live Silurian Prosthetics Demonstrations.

Plus, this summer as a Doctor Who fan you can enjoy £5 off advanced tickets, to take advantage of this special offer simply Quote: NL7 when booking.

Friday 12th August – ‘Walk Like a Monster’ Masterclasses

Throughout the day, Ailsa Berk, choreographer for Doctor Who, will be hosting live ‘Walk Like a Monster’ masterclasses. Come and learn how to walk and move like of some of the Doctors scariest enemies including the Cybermen and the Scarecrows!

Wednesday 24th August – Silurian Prosthetics Demonstrations

This is a unique chance to discover the secrets behind how the Doctor Who team create the Silurians with a live monster makeup and prosthetics demonstration. Featured in the most recent episode of the show ‘A Good Man Goes to War’, the Silurians (Homo Reptilia) were Earth’s first intelligent inhabitants, cold-blood reptilians with a lifespan of over three centuries who developed a civilisation at least 300 million years before human beings evolved.

There is no extra charge for these events, however, please note that due to high demand they cannot guarantee access to additional activities. Available to ticket holders only.

Friday 5th August – Behind the Scenes of Doctor Who Adventures Magazine

Don’t miss this opportunity to meet the team behind Doctor Who Adventures and learn how the magazine is put together. Interactive workshops will take place throughout the day giving you the chance to meet the editor, writers and illustrators and learn how to design your very own magazine or comic.

Workshops are only available to ticket holders for Friday 5th August, sessions work on a first come, first served basis with a maximum of 30 attendees. Recommended for children aged 7-12 years old.

Our gallery from the 1st day (please note some of the exhibits have changed)…

I would be quite excited about all the new things added to the experience since it opened, but something posessed me to go to the event the tuesday after it opened. BIG mistake –
SUPER crowded (the experience part was so crowded you couldn’t appreciate all the work that had gone into it, and they were 30 mins behind schedule due to a power cut. Seemed to me that they made the walkthrough part last less time)
The things in the shop were a bit of a rip off. Pandorica figures were £12 at least. And they didn’t have the Amelia figure(it hadn’t been announced then). Since then I have gone to the shop and craftily been able to get 3(keep 1 sell 2)(they only sell 2 to each person)
The entry cost means I probably won’t be able to go in to it again – unless they change the entire thing which would make a good enough reason to beg to go

we went on the 1st day and were disappointed at the lack of exclusive merchandise, we were expecting mugs, t shirts etc but there was nothing. The prices were as i was expecting, nothing unusual about that for an exhibition shop. having said that it was a brilliant day and they were always going to do/add things to encourage people to go again – we might certainly make return before it ends i London

When we went 1st time they had 2 sorts of tshirts.
The time when I went to the shop again the prices were normal and the had the junk tardis, time lord container thingys and generally more stuff.
I think I’ll only be able to go again if they made a major change e.g. the plot/content of the walkthrough.

thanks for replying and for your opinion, btw
