Into The Dalek Overnight Viewing Figures 5.2 Million

Into The Dalek Overnight Viewing Figures 5.2 Million

Source: www.doctorwhonews.net

Doctor Who Into The Dalek had an overnight audience of 5.2 million viewers. It came second on the day to x factor.

Overnight figures have become more and more unreliable as to the true picture with many people using iplayer and other media.

Deep breath is already approaching 9.00m without. iplayer figures are not included.

I have been a Who fan starting with Tom Baker. But unless the Dr makes some changes I am afraid it might be my last time as a fan. The earlier Doctors have always worked with the Military. But tonight when he looked down on a soldier it upset me. The Doctor has become self absorbed and thinks he’s the only one that can save mankind. Truth be it soldiers are the front line of that task all through history. Yes there is good and evil, but to make all soldiers evil just tarnishes the memories that have kept us our freedoms.

Look at pertwees doctor. He worked with unit but he certainly didn’t like working with them. At the end of Silurian’s he was annoyed and angry at the military. He also sarcastically refered to soldiers as having military minds and looked down at them so its not a new a character trait. As for being self absorbing looking at the Colin baker a lot of the time he only thought about himself. The doctor has always thought he was the only 1 that can save the universe. Look at voyage of the dammed speech when he said he was going to save everybody. Isn’t That the same as thinking you are the only 1 that can save the universe. Actually come to think about it a lot of the Tennant and smith era featured him walking into situations where he thinks he is the only person that can solve it. These gripes aren’t new character traits

Maybe not new traits, but certainly more openly aggressive. I hope I’m not the only one who found his treatment and comment offensive. I takes away from all the soldiers that fought and died for what we have today. So far this Doctor is way to dark and humorless for me.

Hmmm…I thought the overnight ratings would have been better than 5.2 million. But I don’t think it helps that ‘Doctor Who’ follows the dreadful of yet more damn awful celebrity rubbish. This time it’s called ‘Tumble’!

Anyway, ‘Doctor Who’ might well follow ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ soon, so that should see a ratings improvement…even if that is also more damn awful celebrity rubbish!

Brilliant Dr Who last night. Back to Tom Baker style, crazy, alien. Reminded me of my first Dr Who which was The Ark In Space when I was only five years old.How scary was that! Viewing figures don’t matter.Five of us watched last night if you count Midnight, our cat.Nobody has ever asked me what I watch or how many people are watching with me.Sometimes me, sometimes seven of us. How can they get these figures accurately?I know lots of people who watch Dr Who but none of my friends admit to watching x Factor.Don’t mean they don’t though. This is the best Doctor since Tom Baker and Clara best companion since Sarah Jane Smith.

Enjoyed this episode far more than Deep Breath. Im surprised though that theyve started the series late summer when people are still on holiday. Im also a bit disappointed theyre putting it up against X-Factor (cant stick it myself but alot of people watch it).
The BBC seem to have a habit of doing this. They did it to the last few seasons of Classic Who and they did it to Ripper Street (another favourite)aswell as a host of other programmes.
I accept that today there are so many ways of viewing that overnight figures are almost obsolete but still…..

I watched all of Doctor Who and changed over to see what was left of X factor. I only missed 15 minutes of talking about the show’s winners and stuff.

A rather good episode with an interesting plot, and not the first time The Doctor was compared to a Dalek (Christopher Eccleston was told he would “make an excellent Dalek” in the episode “Dalek”. I have high hopes for the new series but can’t say that I am not yet convinced about the Robots of Sherwood. We shall see.

Absolutely! People make up thir own tv nowadays… The advent of I player, Netflix, amazon prime etc make the ratings system so….. Outdated. The wonderful ‘into the Dalek’ deserves more and will definitely get well over 7million.
