New Time Lord Matt Smith talked about becoming the Doctor: “My Doctor is clumsy, a little reckless, but becomes more assured as the series develops.”

He also revealed: “I couldn’t tell anyone for three months,” and says: “To my mind it’s the best part in British TV history.”

He told Jonathan that he took advice from David Tennant and that he’s eager to take on his mantle: “I spoke to David briefly, he said ‘enjoy the ride’.”

On the TARDIS, he revealed there have been some changes: “It’s bigger on the inside, has different levels, other rooms including a library, [and is] a different shade of blue outside.”

Finally, he said he’s here to stay: “I hope to do at least another year, it’s a wonderful part and I want to keep it.”

@ TheLastDalek1656 and everyone who thinks those are Pete’s World blimps:

They aren’t. They’re called barrage balloons, meant to deter low level aircraft attacks. They were very common in WWII during the Blitz.

0:18, looks like a load of weeping angels.
I find 0:13 quite interesting, judging by the blimps, it’s most likely the alternate universe, Pete’s World. But it doesn’t look like the present day Pete’s world. Could it be possible Victory of the Daleks is set in World War II in an alternate universe, rather than the Doctor’s?

That trailer was excellent Doctor Who Season 31 I cant wait to see with return of some of the Doctor’s Enemies and some new Foes to face like those Smilers the Vampires and that big giant Scorpion I think it is because of its tale and it was trying to kill Amy but all in all Series 5 is going to be brilliant.

I bet there’s going to be some heavy-duty vidcapping of that library card once the HD version becomes available!

It really does seem that Smith is going to play the role somewhat as a younger Troughton — “This is Christmas!” is classic Pat Troughton! And I’m not complaining at all. I really hope the new guy is given a chance.

Great trailer, nice to see the whole thing finally.

“Tell me the whole plan!… One day that’ll work.”

And the First Doctor’s library card… That was a great little gag. And those girls are seriously creepy.
