Judoon To Return in Doctor Who Series 12

When Jodie Whittaker returns to Doctor Who next series, the Thirteenth Doctor and her friends won’t be the only familiar faces.

The show, currently filming, is set to welcome back The Judoon as one of the Doctor’s fearsome adversaries.

More than twelve years after they stampeded onto screens to terrorise the Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones on the moon in 2007’s Smith and Jones, the rhino-headed, brutish intergalactic police are returning to cause havoc and thrill children and adults alike.

These ruthless enforcers are on a deadly mission: But what for? And why has it brought them to present-day Gloucester?

The episode will also star acclaimed actor Neil Stuke. Neil has an established career on stage, television and films, and is a two times Bafta nominee. Neil’s recent credits include Doctor Foster, Silk and Silent Witness.

Chris Chibnall, Showrunner says: “No! Sho! Blo! The Judoon are storming back into Doctor Who in full force, and the streets of Gloucester aren’t safe. If anyone has anything to hide, confess now. The Judoon are taking no prisoners, and will stop at nothing to fulfil their mission! The whole team on Doctor Who are delighted and scared in equal measure to welcome them back: One of many treats we’ve got in store for viewers next series. And we’re over the moon (with Judoon), to be welcoming the wondrous Neil Stuke as guest star. We can’t wait to show you what happens when his path crosses with the Thirteenth Doctor.”

The eleventh series of Doctor Who was the biggest series of the show in over a decade with an average audience of 8.6m viewers in the 28 days following broadcast, across all available devices.

The twelfth series of Doctor Who is currently in production. Doctor Who is a BBC Studios production for BBC One and a BBC America co-production.

And also Cybermen (My Favourites) and in the 19th century with Mary Shelley which inspires him to write Frankenstein. Sounds really Dark and Gothic. Sounds good

Fellow Anonymous, maybe they do have hair, just we’ve seen only bald ones before.

Really excited for Series 12, and to see Judoon again

Ey? I genuinely think the prop looks naff. Looks like something you’d see the 5th doctor facing off against. I also wrote how I’m looking forward to the Judoon returning in the fresher HD setting and that I’m genuinely excited. How is this finding any excuse to be negative?

I’ve seen criticism regarding the Judoon guns/blasters, in fairness, I didn’t even notice them at first, I was too focused on the Judoon with the hairdo and the Doctor. I do like the new style of blasters though.

Do we have to have the same people constantly being negative? It makes the comment section very unpleasant. On the photo section boo boo one of the same people is complaining about the design of a prop gun… it seems to be that they need to find any excuse to complain. I’ve said it before… the negativity is getting boring.

sorry you find the comments so unpleasant, but its better than than a lot of stuff you will find on social media with outright hostility going on.

I’m not going to delete every negative comment posted.

your best bet is to find a forum with an ignore button so you can block the negative posters

Whovian im the same, There’s is not a single episode I like in series 11 from start to finish simply due to terrible acting. But if I leave that aside and look at the episodes as a story, there’s about 3 or 4 I’d ever watch again. And even then, most of those have bits that I’d have to skip through or cringe through

I’m hoping that Chibnall has listened to criticism and takes time to make this series far better than the last. All I’ve seen from him is him praising the series as being joyous and incredible but surely even he knows that he could have been better

Now this is more like it, and hopefully with more returning monsters too. And apparently, the Judoon are in episode 6. With any luck, Chibnall has actually listened to the fans and we get a more better series than last year. I recently re-watched series 11, and out of 10 episodes there is literally 3 episodes that (to me) are good, I personally hated Arachnids in the UK through the phobia. But Judoon are a promising start.

I hope there’s more returning villains other than the Judoon. It feels like Chibnall knew everyone wanted returning monsters so spun a wheel that landed on Judoon and said ‘yes that’ll do’. That being said I’m very excited, old monsters in a newer fresher setting is always good. That’s why it was so good to hear the iconic Dalek voice against the crisp HD backdrop of the New Years special (bad acting and plot line aside)

Does the hair really matter? In classic who the ice warriors lost the hair between troughton and pertwee, the sontarans lost and gained hair throughout their appearances and the silurans of the 70s are very different from the 80s version. Personally I think the hair looks good.

There are murmurings of a christmas/new year special in the press but nothing confirmed Simon w. It wouldn’t surprise me if we get a new years day special followed by the series

Eh… The hair is a bit much. Still, it’s about time they look back to the higher quality villains and aliens of the past.

The jurisdiction over the Earth issue shouldn’t be a problem. They were on Earth during SJA, and The Pandorica Opens, as well as numerous other times in expanded media.

Judoon aren,t that big a threat although i,d welcome back any old adversaries for this series as long as they mix it up with the new and also dispense with or at least tone down jodies annoying character traits. Whats going on with the Mohican?

TARDIS DUDE they’re not a rip-off Sontaran especially considering the fact that the Sontarans are supposed to be the most efficient soldier in the universe. Judoon are police, they’re not interested in conquering they’re interested in taking down the Conquerors.
