Robot of Sherwood Overnight Viewing Figures 5.2 Million

Robot of Sherwood Overnight Viewing Figures 5.2 Million

Source: www.doctorwhonews.net

Doctor Who Robot of Sherwood had an overnight audience of 5.2 million viewers. It came second on the day to x factor.

Overnight figures have become more and more unreliable as to the true picture with many people using iplayer and other media.

Into the Dalek is already over 7.00m.

I think he said there were no turkeys in Europe at that time, as Robin commented in the cell.

Depends on your definition of a “turkey”, what we would call a turkey certainly weren’t in Europe, but there is a belief that guinea fowls were named “turkey fowls” (and it was because the two animals were mixed up that the name for the North American bird stuck). It could be that they were referring to these animals rather than the American ones (by production error).

According to other sites 5.2M works out to more than 25% share of the UK audience. US network shows would kill for that kind of percentage. Per capita, DW is huge. Don’t apply 20th century standards to those numbers.

Exactly – people forget that this is a sub genre show. No other Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV show would get any where near that kind of percentage share.

I agree – Overnight figures mean less and less. Those figures may have been important about 5-10 years ago but not in a time when people watch shows when and where they like on their devices.

If Y Factor keeps getting beat by Strictly….then it will be axed 🙂
However, we shouldn’t compare against shows made for the masses. We should compare against dramas etc. DW probably gets more average viewers than any othe drama on TV (soaps don’t count…they are made for the masses too).

Wow, that’s low for Doctor Who standards.

    5.2?
