Jo Grant – or should that be Jo Jones has made a triumphant return In the Sarah Jane Adventures story Death of the Doctor – and there were plenty of references to past stories.

Oh my, that was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I would even go as far as saying that the ‘Death of the Doctor’ episodes were the finest I’ve ever seen from the SJA to date! And the fact that Russell T Davies managed to tie up fifty years of canon in under two minutes is pure genius! And Katy Manning is truly lovely as Jo and with all those flashbacks – I am still yet to get out of my nostalgic haze! Also congrats’ to Sam Watts for a beautiful score <3

I enjoyed all the references and flashbacks, the episode was exciting and much darker, emotional and intense than most stories. I also enjoyed the foreshadowing of the Doctos death in Series Six.

Im sorry has Russel T Davies really got no imagination, more talking earth animals! the judoon and now these silly freaks, looked like obvious emu puppets, come on! why is there this ridiculous thing going on where the producers think all aliens are just earth inhabitants slighlty modified, couldnt they create something, CGI? Latex? Asda halloween mask?

The Doctor wasn’t in this much. Anyway, I really liked this. I was really happy Captain Karim died because she was evil and it shows SJA is getting darker and it is toughening up. Great!

I wou;d have liked it if the funeral holders were somin like old companions as a joke and then they turn out to be creatures that have taken over there bodys but they werent but it was still the best story yet it seems to me that all the best eps of SJA always have some refrence to the dr or tim travel

    This waz great!

The only rubbish part were those stupid shansheeth vultures. They are rubbish. There could have been judoon, slitheen or sontarans instead of these.
Jo waz great and so waz Sj

Russel T Davies brought that story to life. All the impact of the doctor and his companions how they feel about each other. It was sad that jo never got to see the doctor again and sarah did. but with katy manning and elisabeth sladen the did this story brillant well done to them.

My family and I sat down to watch this and really enjoyed it, ( I do remember jo grant first time round with the 3rd doctor). The only thing spoiling it was the clumsy looking vultures. Still part 2 to go though.
