Sneaky Set Pictures – Daleks – All of Them

From the official site…

Sneaky pictures fresh from set…
Not much had been confirmed about the Doctor’s forthcoming adventures but we think it’s safe to say we can expect to see the return of perhaps the Doctor’s most legendary foe.

Here are some sneaky pictures fresh from the set of Doctor Who where the Daleks are being wheeled before the cameras once again. But which design? The answer is ALL OF THEM!

I’ve been reading comments on the Series 7 Trailer and New Companion is Jenna-Louise Coleman pages, and many people are saying that Series 6 was bad and that the Flood should return.

The Flood??!!?!? They are way to scary, they freak me out and as Doctor Who is also aimed to 8 year olds (I’m 11 though) that’s probably scary for them. Ok, I’m not saying that The Silence and the Weeping Angels aren’t scary (that were in Series 6, this isn’t a thriller series!), but adding The Flood is taking it a bit too far. I think they should keep the Weeping Angels for Series 7 and leave the scary ones, just put Cybermen and new NOT scary aliens.

The Cybermen need a break! Like the Daleks, they are being terribly overused! Although it’s good to (finally) have our Cybermen back and not the Cybus ones, just give them a break. Their slowly getting rusty! 😉

Yes, they do need a break. I think we need:

      Judoon
      Silurians
      Zygons
      Handbots
      Headless Monks

And I thought Series 6 was awesome. 8)

Judoon need a break as well if I’m honest.
      2007-Smith and Jones
      2008- The Stolen Earth
2009- Judgement of the Judoon (NSA book)
2010- Brief appearances in The End of Time Part Two and The Pandorica Opens
2011- Brief appearance in A Good Man Goes to War

And yes, Series 6 was awesome! 😀

    • The Stetson of Chaos

Matt smithy, I didn’t say it’s for children only, it is a family show. But there are more children 8-16 watching it than adults.

    • The Stetson of Chaos

      April 2nd, 2012 - 1:59pm

Commander Strax, you mean like The Silence and Weeping Angels for example? They don’t freak me out, it’s just for younger fans that probably scares them.

Doctor Who never scares me apart from The Flood. Although I do remember when I was 5 I was scared of the Gelth and the Diseased People, but not anymore. 🙂

The Peg Dolls and the Weeping Angels definitely scare me, but I have to admit that the Cybermen, especially in the classic series, are terrifying!

    • The Stetson of Chaos

      April 6th, 2012 - 5:07am

      What scares me:

      1) The Peg Dolls. Not all the time, but I might get a tiny freaked out when they transform someone.
      2) The Flood. Oh god! SCARY!!!!
      3) Weeping Angels. I only just said here that they don’t, but I’ll tell you the scary bit. It’s on the MI website when playing Maze of the Dead, especially when they kill you and a picture of a screaming angel pops out!

Cybermen(Mondas Cybermen upgrading to Cybuslike design)

Tenth, Seventh, and/or Eighth Doctors should return.

I have a couple of ideas of how Classic Daleks and Time War Daleks could be featured in the New Series –

    1) They merely appear as flashbacks in newly filmed footage.

    2) The 2010 Daleks travel back in time during different points in their species own history before the Time War, allowing them to encounter past incarnations of their Travel Machines.

Here comes someone who has studied Daleks a little too much 😀

Everyone’s talking about #4. It has the colour and base of Dalek Sec (an NSD) but the ‘bobbles’ don’t have the ridge that they should. ProjectDalek.com should help differentiate between types with its ‘Dalek Autospy’

Maybe it is just me, but this seems like another Moffat slight of hand. Giving blogs a talking point to hide the bigger story. If this is all the daleks, then it would seem that the time-lock is either damaged or broken. So we get all the timelords too?

My theory is pure dalek civil war the classics think they are the purist, the paradigm think they are and the bronze ones to there war against each other and the rest of the whole universe or they sign a treaty and say hey whats all this fighting if we work together we can kick the whole universe up the backside and conquer everything and every one 🙂

I think more that the Paradigm Daleks, being the Daleks purest form, see the other types of Daleks as inferior, the classics fighting back against the Paradigm, and the Time War Daleks being impure and being hated for it by the other two Dalek factions.

Since others are suggesting theories, I thought I’d join in. So, here’s my theory:

The TARDIS lands on a snowy planet (no, not the Ood-Sphere) where the last of the Paradigm Daleks are hiding underground and…and…and…that’s as far as I’ve got.

Maybe something that there’s only one Dalek left in the universe and is rebuilding it’s race?? Something like that.

      Go on, continue it! 😉

    • IronsideDalek

      March 30th, 2012 - 5:40pm

I think-the TARDIS lands in a snowy enviroment, the Paradigm Daleks are trying to recover a Dalek ship from the Time War trying to recover a doomsday device. That’s all I have.

    • Give me a Dalek any day

      March 30th, 2012 - 6:09pm

      Yep, it probably is dead.
I need to catch up on the Daleks history really and I’ll have to do (at least a bit of it) fast. From 3-30th April, I’ll be watching every Eleventh Doctor story to celebrate two years since Matt Smith stepped aboard the TARDIS. It’s gonna be tough.
I have three days to do some catching up, I think I better spend it well.

  • The Doctor

    March 30th, 2012 - 4:39pm

plot idea: the TARDIS lands in 19th century Antartica. The gang get shot at by something. The Doctor now on the ground looks over and see’s the dalek eye come out of the snow.

I think this is what is going to happen:

Over 1,200 years ago, the Bronze Daleks have a small battle with the Paradigm ones. The Bronze Daleks win. But a Paradigm saucer has escaped and crash lands on a snowy mountain. In 2012 there have been reports of missing people throughout the week. The gang investigate, but The Doctor and Amy get kidnapped. On the spaceship that they are trapped on, a Scientist that survived the war takes a DNA sample from The Doctor. Him and Amy escape and let the kidnapped people free. Then, they destroy the saucer. Thinking they destroyed it, they land back on the mountain, but on the other side, while Rory is on the other side. But suddenly, they both notice a Dalek eye coming out of the snow. As it screams EXTERMINATE, it starts coming out the ground, all dirty and damaged. Its the Supreme. The Doctor thinks its the only surviving Dalek and laughs, but suddenly one by one more Paradigm Daleks come out. They leave the mountain and find Rory and go to the TARDIS. They scan the area and find 100,000 Dalek Saucers (Bronze Daleks) heading straight to the Paradigm. The Doctor puts the volume up. A Dalek says something. They declare war against the reborn Paradigm Daleks….

Interesting theory, but there are going to be waaaaayyyyy more Daleks than just the Paradigm and Bronze ones. Moffat has even said himself that there will be all kinds of Daleks. Any thoughts on what will happen with them? 😉

    • Anonymous

      March 30th, 2012 - 5:07pm

Well picture four has what looks like a mid-70s Dalek (likely the Genesis of the Daleks design) so more designs seems a possibility.

But even if there are not, the return of the classic Daleks has to be something very exciting.

Let’s all take a deep breath and then…

      *squeals*

    • The Stetson of Chaos

      March 30th, 2012 - 5:17pm

Hmmm, well the Bronze Daleks then will also have black ones.

What will happen to them?? Ermmm….

The Paradigm Daleks are winning but the Doctor sends Amy and Rory to deal with the main spaceship of the RTD Daleks (did I mention that the Paradigm Daleks didn’t want to work with the RTD and Imperials??). Amy and Rory shut down and ruin all the RTD Daleks plans. They come back, but those ones escape. The Doctor then lies that a Jammy Dodger is a bomb (again!) so Amy and Rory can trap them in a Force Field from the TARDIS without them noticing. It doesn’t work and try to exterminate the Doctor, but an avalanche comes and buries them. Then, the Doctor with TARDIS systems puts the Paradigm Daleks in hibernation for 100 years until they awake and come for revenge.

Or the Daleks do, there will be at least three different groups going around so they will all be fighting amongst each other as well as the Doctor.

A slightly grander scale version of Remembrance of the Daleks it would appear.

  • Tardis’nt

    March 30th, 2012 - 3:35pm

here is my theory: the daleks have found a way to return to skaro where they find all sorts of old daleks. the new daleks start killing all the inferior ones. the inferior ones start to rebuild themselves out of parts of random old daleks from the 60s and 70s, this creates a new form of super hibrid daleks which irradicate most of the new paradigm. the survivors go to a snowy place on earth and hide a camera, the doctor and some other people interfere then both races of daleks prepare for a final showdown…

As Give me a Dalek any day said, it’s in episode 1. Although there hasn’t been any news on filming that episode, they probably only filmed a few scenes, including the Dalek eye one.

Or else it might be Episode 4 (I don’t think so…) or in Episode 2 alongside those robot things. In one of the pictures when Rory and the Doctor are looking at the robots, Rory’s dad is looking at something with a horrified face. Dalek or not Dalek??? AAAAHHHHHH!!! I can’t wait!!!!!! 🙂 🙂
