Did anyone notice that Clara has died twice and the Doctor was unable to save her, but yet she just got burnt up into a million pieces by HIMSELF and he doesn’t even shed a tear. Not an Amy Pond ‘NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!’ moment, not a Rose ‘Awwww…’ moment, just ‘No, Clara.’ Its almost as convincing as Gene Wilder’s sarcastic portrayal of Willy Wonka. Look forward to the 50th nevertheless.

the doctor probably would not of cried for the snow men and AOTD because he had not bonded with her like he had done with amy

It can’t be a future Doctor become Matt Smith recognised him. It can’t be an alternative first Doctor because we have now seen Hartnell leave Gallifrey. I think that it would be amazing if when the Great Intelligence re-wrotethe Doctor’s timeline, he forced him to regenerate… into Dr. Simeon, becoming the Doctor from The Scream of the Shalka. Then, this Doctor grew older living a separate life, seperate from the other incarnations and became John Hurt. Although that almost definitely won’t happen.

Well in The Two Doctors Patrick Troughton recognised Colin Baker so he could recognise him.

Matt Smith knows all about him though. He talked about John Hurt in the past tense as well, so he cannot be from the future.

As he was In his own time stream, he could see all his life, including days he was yet to live. He was also at the end of his life, so any living doctor there must be presented in past tense, and even if an earlier doctor comes along, he can’t say ‘he will break’ because it’s already happened:- he’s dead!

That was just a joke… It doesn’t atually mean that he can regenerate 507 times… Probably just The Doctor’s way of saying that he’s not going to let a little thing like dying stop him.

I would love to see them bring all three of the new doctors into the 50th Anniversary but two is better than none. I think the only Doctor Who episodes most of you have seen are of the 9th, 10th, and 11th doctors. what about all the classics series and the TV movie. There have previously been two shows where their has been more than one doctor. both in the classic series. The first one was “The Five Doctors”(1983)Peter Davison, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, and Richard Hurndall played the part of William Hartnell’s Doctor. Tom Baker didn’t want to do the episode so they used old film that was never put on TV and made it look like he was trapped in a time loop. The other four saved the day. Their was some of William Hartnell’s old footage used in the show also. Then “The Two Doctors”(1985) with Colin Baker, Patrick Troughton. If you haven’t seen these two shows you should.

If Clara was born to save the doctor, why did River Song have to die saving the doctor?

    name of the doctor error!
If the outside of the TARDIS has been leaking to become large, why is it that inside the control room you can still see the doors?

I dont know about you guys, but now hearing all this new stuff about john hurt (not exactly being the 9th doctor, kind of the `the lost doctor` or `the unspoken doctor`, i would quite like to see a spin-off series on BBC 2, telling you the story of the 8th doctor (Paul McGann) in 3 series’ and then the lost/unspoken doctor (john hurt)in 2 series’ telling you WHY he had to reveal his name, but not tell you his name.

They really need to pull out all the stops on the anniversary episodes Corrie at 50 was epic and so was Emmerdale as a long serving show Dr who needs to meet these standards or have a massive reveal loke EastEnders live but I really doubt Dr who will be as good as them tbh

This season hasn’t been up there with previous in terms of story telling but there were a couple great episodes like this one.
Looking forward to seeing Hurt in the anniversary episode. Obviously the doctor who ended the time war before Chris I’d say.
Loved tying all the old doctors in with Clara…why so long a wait and why so few episodes!!!!
