The Latest Stunning Doctor Who Trailer!

The Latest Stunning Doctor Who Trailer!

The latest trailer for episodes 8 – 13 of the current series has been released, and it was worth waiting for!

The second half of the series begins with Let’s Kill Hitler, written by Steven Moffat and directed by Richard Senior. And judging from the snippets we’ve seen so far, future adventures will feature Cybermen, the Silence plus the return of River, looking a little different…

And in case you missed it there is a steam train heading for the pyramid!…

Which has area 52 and the American flag on it!…

A lot of people have been saying that the pyramid and the train has something to do with the Egyptian Godess on the Orient Express, but I think it might have something to do with the Dream Lord’s “teasers” from The Brilliant Book 2011 about deserts.

Mind you, it did say that most of them were a load of nonsense to trick the fans (but nobody apears to have paid any attention to that).

im confused because on the 1st episode of series 6 when the doctor gets killed it looks like hes asking her to kill him because he talks to her and she looks like shes upset and i think that the doctor does something to block river’s bullets from hitting her

You’re assuming the Astronaut is female. The Astronaut is a robot that can hold a human occupant but we have no way of telling who was inside it (if there was anyone).

I bet the next half will come before August 27 by at least a week, as we always get Doctor Who before America gets it, as Doctor Who is a British programme.

Intergalactic, BBC America has been airing Doctor Who episodes on the same day they are being broadcast in the UK regularly since series six started. BBC America also made it possible to film the opening two parter for season six in the US. You would be surprised how large the fan base is here in the US. We have the world’s largest and longest running Doctor Who fan convention and very dedicated fans. Doctor Who was the bestselling show on the American itunes charts. We got record ratings on BBC America for Doctor Who. Doctor Who and Torchwood are very popular here in America and other spin-offs like K9 and the Sara Jane Adventures are becoming of interest for some fans.

I reckon it will come on the 27th of August, so america gets it just a few hours after us, like it was during part 1 of series 6

    • Anonymous

      August 7th, 2011 - 10:53pm

It has to be the 27th of August, the schedules up to the 26th have ben announced so this has to follow on that date unless BBC America have a last minute shift in their schedules because the BBC push it back.

Besides, there are more viewers in the UK than in the US, Moffat would want as few potential spoilers getting out as possible.

      August 8th, 2011 - 10:11am

Right. Although we should still have it before those Americans. Doctor Who is British, not American. It’s like Star Trek, they get it before us. So we should get Doctor Who before then. Americans always think they’re better than everyone else.

You are both right and wrong. David most people wouldnt say that we are in series 32, they would say we are in Series 6 . Series and season have different meaning ONLY when season means ‘Summer’.

Matt should stay but I think Moffat should go. To be honest, its a family TV show and its way too complex for little kids to understand. Its all very well him defeating the bad guys but if they don’t get why they are back or something then its pointless. They will lose half there viewing figures because its too grown up. Plus, what kid will want an action figure from a monster they don’t understand why its there…

It’s starts on the 27th august! Why should England have it after America? It’s an english show! America (and everywhere else) should have it on the 3rd of september not England! Honestly I dont care wen it starts anywhere else just as long as its not before England thats fine!

Actually the show is made a produced in Wales and has a Scottish head writer so I don’t think it’s right to credit it to any of the nation states within the UK.

    • Intergalactic

Sorry when I said that Dr Who is an English show I meant British sorry! I dont care that we get it on the same day as america as long as they don’t get it before us like torchwood! yes I understand Torchwood was made by the americans this time but even John barrowman said Torchwood is still british! Does anyone understand wat I mean??

Due to time zone differences it would be the 28th in Australia and New Zealand though even if it was simulcast, that’s why Australia has a week long delay in broadcast, it could have got it on the Sunday but thinks that a Saturday broadcast is better for ratings.

Has anyone noticed on ‘The Impossible Astronaut’that little figure that sticks out from behind the shack, watch and when they are by the lake, look up to the top right corner of the screen, at the shack. When Old Canton arrives the figure arrives and then when the doctor is shot, the figure disappears, perhaps this has something to do with something in the next part of the series. Tell me what you think.

A massive mistake in the Pterosaurs! They are all flapping there wings constantly, they were so light weight they only really had to glide, and occasionally flap there wings! I knew doctor who would do rubbish effects if prehistoric creatures were in it. The should get the help of impossible pictures! There animations are so realistic!

It depends what kind of pterosaurs they are. If they’re just small ones (like pterodactylus) then they would flap their wings most of the time. The effects are done by the Mill, who made the new series of Primeval, which, in my opinion, had the best effects of any creature/monster show ever. Even better than Jurassic Park. I hope they can pull it off with Doctor Who this year 🙂

2doctors2000, this is Doctor Who, anything can happen (with a hard to understand scientific explanation). Perhaps something happened to them. Or perhaps they are an alien species in disguise or whatever.
