I have to admit I really like these opening titles.

Starts off both music and looks like a heart beat before merging into titles similar to Troughton/Pertwee era.

The music is also similar to Hartnell ears so there is nice mixture of the old elements combined with a newer look.

I like the organic/fluid look about it before speeding down the vortex.

I will admit it need to have a longer into maybe a shot of the tardis flying through it.

So its different from the capaldi intro but just as good

    9/10

The new arrangement of the theme tune is the only thing i like about this new version..best since the 70’s.

Best title sequence since it returned but would’ve like to see the Doctor’s (full) face in the titles.

Watching it again it looks rather like a colourised ultrascan after a month.

Am I the only thought that the opening would look like what they showed when they revealed the new logo because that looked a little better

Love the new title sequence, although I do agree with some other comments that it does feel a little short. Perhaps a bit more of the base line before the melody kicks in? I also really like the 70’s arrangement used to loop and fade out at the end. If they brought that back and added The Doctor’s face it would be perfect. I only hope they don’t ruin it every second week by not having the graphics in sinc with the music as with half of Capaldi’s episodes. That really used to annoy me. Very distracting.
Also I hope we still get the sting going into the titles if future episodes open with a pre-credits teaser.

Like the music. Evokes the classic original version. Not too sure of the visuals though…looks like s toilet being unblocked with Mr Muscle!

Feels like a mixture of old and new. And I love the colour. I’d say my favourite title sequence of the modern era.

Despite the fact that the new theme is really good (the new composer has outdone himself) and the titles been designed by the legendary John Smith vfx, I am sad to say that I do not like it. I honestly can’t tell what supposed to be going on, it doesn’t feel like a time vortex as well as the fact that the logo we were given in the teaser doesn’t look a whole lot like the logo we got in the actual titles: it’s more purple liquid than gold dust. Plus why is it so different to the teaser? I loved the fact that there were just random red orange crystals in this kind of desolate background, and the TARDIS creates this brand new logo like a child drawing something in the sand, it looked so nice compared to what we got in the end! But that is just my opinion so take that with a grain of salt.

I like the music, but it does feel a bit like a youtube video. And it’s so short! And I miss the TARDIS being in it too.

Shorter titles mean more story! All for that. Love the music, love the titles. Would have liked Jodie there but never mind it’s not the end of the world

Perhaps a tad short but, apart from that, I think they’re brilliant. I prefer them to the titles sequence for series 8/9/10.

Love it. A lovely nod to the original theme and graphics. It does remind me if one of the Big Finish 8th Doctor themes though. I think it was Dark Eyes. Which is not a bad thing.

I really liked the titles, I always expected Chibnalls titles to be shorter as he’s a pertwee fan and his title sequence was the first short version of the titles. I loved the colour scheme as well.

Don’t like it. Feels too rushed like he only had like 5 minutes to create something. And I must say that in the interviews he has done, it feels like he’s oversold and overjoyed it. The end theme is a bit better though

Was meant to say overhyped, not overjoyed.

I like it. I’m just disappointed it’s so short and jodies face isn’t in it.

Agreed, also for the first time in modern who era, no TARDIS in the opening sequence either.

Love this so much!!! I much prefer the darker sequences. So series 5-6 (not 7a’s). I never liked the Capaldi era titles, very cartoony and the theme was screechy. This is just beautiful theme and visuals. So excited for Doctor Who again!!
