I am really looking forward to this episode but the title leaves me thinking its going to be a rip off from the original story

Poor title choice…totally unoriginal. Moffat has still to convince that his vision of the series is better the great RTD. Hope he can come up with a good xmas special.

Ok, this is CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Moffat, you can do better than that. Come on! They’ve basically revealed most of the plot aswell.

It’s based on A Christmas Carol so why not call it that? Sometimes simplicity is the most direct way of illustrating an idea.

I know it’s meant to be like A Christmas Carol, but they didn’t need to call it that.

Leave the title originality alone, why are people sooo negative, Moffat’s new series is far better than RTD’s. Never judge an episode by it’s title.

Re: Davidj – until it is actually announced by the BBC, no title is official. For example, last season the vampire episode was called Vampires in Venice, and Matt Smith even said so in a TV interview. But the title was changed to The Vampires of Venice when the BBC announced it. Until the BBC announced it today, no title provided by anyone could be considered definitive.

I hoped that the title would have been a bit more imaginative but still, that doesn’t stop this episode from being great!

A Christmas Carol… hmm? I wonder how they thought of that one?
