been looking at alot of question’s maybe here is some answers for some..

    1. what is the oldest question in the universe?
wouldn’t it what is your name ? also think this because of the doctor’s real name being hidden, from everyone, appart from the one woman who know’s it, river song.

    2. how does the doctor not die?
well honestly in my opinion, i think it is a ganger, because the doctor was very ready for the death, when the doctor usally is always afraid of death.. where the ganger wouldn’t really be bothered.

    3. what does it mean by silence will fall?
well there was a caption in the trailer which said ” silence will fall, all those times i heard them words i never realised it was my silence, my death” so i think silence will fall means death is coming.

if anybody has anymore questions please say, and i will try and find out..

  • Finlay

    September 25th, 2011 - 1:53pm

Why were Amy and Rory in the opening? They were hardly in it! James Corden should have been in it. Why did the Doctor not go to the Ponds when he saw them?

      September 25th, 2011 - 7:55pm

he didn’t want them to get caught up in his life again. can’t believe she had her own perfume! she did tha quick! in the doctors world she isn’t even a celebrity!

    • timeisrunningout.

      September 25th, 2011 - 8:00pm

i think we are suppose to suggest that its been 3 months, because in the first episode amy and rory were like, its been 3 months, but then the doctor in ‘ closing time’ was like my death is tomorrow.

As the season draws to a close and we sit back and reflect on it as a whole, I for one am a little disappointed that the whole season has not been as good as these last few episodes. Closing Time had it all – humour, scares, pathos – and surely Matt Smith’s performance of the series – bring on the Wedding!

    September 25th, 2011 - 11:46am

i did like this episode, but ive got so many question for next episode, first;in series 5 the ‘the pandorica opens’there is that voice saying ‘silence will fall’ I always thought it was the silence but in a way they can hardly talk so who says that?? and also there must be a reason for madame krovein to hate the doctor so much, maybe he did somthing to her or somone else in the past?and also if river\melody kills the doctor then how come she ay somthing when he gets killed?? questions need to be answered ticktock….

    • timeisrunningout.

      September 25th, 2011 - 7:52pm

maybe whoever that woman is, she doesn’t like timelords, so she use’s a part timelord to kill the doctor, then she would plan to kill her..
also the voice, it might one of her helpers saying it, cause they work for the silence..

    September 25th, 2011 - 10:46am

well if there was ever an episode that ran out of steam, this was it. Cybermen killed by love????? Rediculous, awful episode and if I ever see another mention of the girl who waited/couldn’t be bothered to wait – whatever – I’ll go mad. Writers have clearly run out of ideas. Can we get rid of Steven Moffat please. NO story he’s written this series has ever come close to Blink!.

If River is in the suit, then she knows that she kills the doctor when she watches it in 2011, because when she tries the shoot the astronaut, she says “of course not”, because she shoots it down it will create a paradox!

    September 25th, 2011 - 10:06am

I loved this episode, I think Craig’s character is just great and I love their relationship and ofcourse stormageddon. I would love James Corden to be the series 7 companion but I doubt it will happen. I do wish that the finale was in two part though because I can see it being a huge cramming of stuff into the last like 5 minutes.

    Tick tock goes the clock
and what now shall we play?
    Tick tock goes the clock
    now summer’s gone away.

    Tick tock goes the clock
and what then shall we see?
    Tick tock until the day
    that thou shall marry me.

    Tick tock goes the clock
and all the years they fly.
Tick tock and all too soon
    you and I must die.

    Tick tock goes the clock
we laughed at fate and mourned her.
    Tick tock goes the clock
    even for the doctor.

    Tick tock goes the clock
he cradled her and rocked her.
    Tick tock goes the clock
    Till river kills the doctor.

    Doctor, brave and good
    he turned away from violence.
    When he understood
    the falling of the silence.

After the likes of “Silver Nemesis” and “Earthshock” I’d have expected the Cybermen to get a better story than this.

I think “Stormageddon” will grow to be a powerful ally.

Closing time was by far the best episode of the series! It was most entertaining, most intense and it had a lot of focus on the characters. I loved seeing the return of the cybermen and their lil chibi cybermats. AND IT WASNT OVERLY DARK! FINALLY! I CAN SEE IT! I look forward to episode 13. DALEKS ARE BACK!

It won’t be a big apperance though it will only be a cameo.

  • Aros

    September 25th, 2011 - 12:26am

It is a shame that the Cybermen were used as the menace in this–they were very under used and to be honest it could have been almost any alien/creature/monster/robot instead. To shoe horn a classic Whovian enemy into such a limited role just wasn’t necessary.

Matt Smith plays the Doctor as an alien superbly. Tennant is too good looking to have been completely convincing trying this sort of thing (although RTD never sought it from him), although Eccleston could probably have done it.

So are we rating series 6 pt 2 very highly,i think overall the whole season is very good, this sequel to ‘the lodger’was excellent as the original was.

    i’ve just realised,
they never talk about WHY river and the doctor’s timelines are back to front ?

    • Diane

      September 24th, 2011 - 10:29pm

is it not just because they are both timelords?

    • spoileralert

      September 28th, 2011 - 1:41am

they arent both timelord. The doctor is a timelord, but River is a human consieved in the TARDIS. She has no other time-lord power than regeneration

  • timeisrunningout.

    September 24th, 2011 - 10:12pm

i think i might have worked something out

think back to the liberary episode, river is attached to that chair, and say’s to the doctor ” you always knew i would be coming here, you knew when it was my time, my time to come to the libery”.

he is with her til the end, but he doesn’t know her ?

  • doctorwho

    September 24th, 2011 - 10:07pm

” all the times i’ve heard them words i never realised it was my silence, my death ”

the words are silence is falling..
    silence = death
    falling = happening

  • Diane

    September 24th, 2011 - 10:02pm

I dont understand why river has the eye patch on in the trailer for next week??

Does the doctor escape? I dont understand how he can when he died at the start!

    • doctorwho

      September 24th, 2011 - 10:05pm

i’ve have looked at a spoiler page, and all of them end up wearing those eye patch’s,
and yes of corse the doctor exscape’s because
      a) he has signed up for 2013.

      b) he is doing the christmas special

      c) it would have been a pointless series if he did die.

and i think might escape by him either being a ganger, river killing herself to save him, or just the plan, kill the other people first.

    • Diane

      September 24th, 2011 - 10:33pm

i think they will have to make that a version of the doctor does die to match up with the first episode, maybe that one dies and then there is another doctor or something happens after he dies to save him. Could it not just be that in the next seasons its the doctor at an earlier age and he does die??

    • Diane

      September 24th, 2011 - 10:38pm

i dont think river dies cause she is in jail for killing him is she not?

    • DragoWing

      September 28th, 2011 - 10:33am

erm…., yes, but time can be rewritten, so maybe she dies, or maybe, the doctor survived in a way, cuz theres a miracle?, hahaha, ;o))

  • King of the weevils

    September 24th, 2011 - 9:58pm

Closing time- an awesome piece of awesomeness with a lot of awesomeness!
Matt Smiths acting was incredible and emotional the same goes to corden. I would have liked the cybermen to appear more but I can’t hate the episode just because of that. Smiths acting when he held stormy(ok Alfie then but Stormageddon or stormy is better)was incredibly moving. I cannot see tennant doing that because if he did stormys mouth would have been full of whiney rose tears. Next weeks looks…good no sorry rani it doesn’t look good no it looks…words cannot describe it.

    • doctorwho

      September 24th, 2011 - 10:01pm

i’ve just been reading they are some good comments here, and some good idea’s
i agree with the one of the caption about ” the time lord” and why can’t it be river song ?
    very clever..
but does anybody actully have any infomation or anything?

    • King of the weevils

      September 24th, 2011 - 10:03pm

      Charles dickens returns

  • riversong:)

    September 24th, 2011 - 9:43pm

you must think i’m crazy to think this, but maybe it is just an idea….

the caption is ” an impossible astronaunt will rise from the deep, and strike the TIME LORD dead ”
why time lord and not the doctor ?
cause there is more then one timelord now, river ?
and it is always about river, and now there seems to be two of them.. so why can’t one of them die ?

  • riversong:)

    September 24th, 2011 - 9:38pm

    i’m on a roll,
here is something to think about..

    1) in that song it says ‘ he turned away from violence, when he understood the fooling of the silence ‘.
well what is the fooling and clearly it has something to do with violence ? maybe the violence they used on river song/melody pond, to trick the doctor..

    2) i have been reading up on something, and a part came accross saying ” 5.02? its always that time these days. all of history is happening at once ? but it can’t can it ? the answer seems, is a woman”
    guessing that is river song..

    • TorchwoodGuy05

      September 24th, 2011 - 9:43pm

I thought it was “the falling of the silence”.

    • riversong:)

oh maybe it was, i’ll listen again!

    • riversong:)

      September 24th, 2011 - 9:48pm

actully it might be, its hard to understand..
