Well-I liked it! I really liked it. And did anybody else see that the tiny Tardis cube in siege mode looked a LOT like the Moment? The BOX part not the conscience part. And I’m thinking that Missy could very well actually be the Moment. I know we’d all like to to have Billy Piper be the Moment, but hey! even the Moment could regenerate. The other theory I have about Missy is that she is the Tardis. Remember-the Tardis IS a woman and she is VERY picky about who touches her (the Doctor’s companions being the exceptions, as well as River Song) and also who rides IN her.

I have to say that Flatline was stupid, ridiculously stupid, astonishingly clever and amazingly well written… From the Addams family reference, which I loved, to the Doctor telling the my monster where to go, bringing back memories of Matt Smith’s Doctor and his challenge of the Atraxi… Jenna Coleman was excellent in her most masterful role yet. Unfaultable, totally unfaultable.

A very good episode. I was dreading this episode but it was not a let down one bit. It was great. The monsters were just terrifying. It was just great. I think Douglas Mackinnon is my favourite writer this series. Both of his episodes have been great!

In my opinion this was a fantastic episode!I will admit I was initially worried Clara’s performance in this ep would be a bit of a let-down since she took the role of the Doctor but at least this wasn’t the case!I loved the idea of the Doctor being forced to attempt to guide Clara and the supporting characters, particularly Digby who I was very fond of,to safety. And to top it off a monster from 2 dimensions was a brilliant concept and it certainly paid off! These 3 last eps have been fantastic for me! Next week looks to be great as well with tigers and wolves and a forest in London! Also, any theories on what Missy could have been meaning at the end with “Clara I chose you well”?

After a run of 4 really good episodes it was back to meh for this one.
The episode felt somewhat disjointed for me. Very bitty and poor pacing.
The ideas were good but not very well executed (perhaps more about budget and time).
    Liked the cgi 3d monsters.
Didnt like the supporting cast at all.
Good to see the Doctor coming into his show a bit more. Still abit too much of Clara for my liking (loved her in last weeks episode).
Loved the shrinking Tardis and the way the Doctor got it off the rails.
    Too much sonic screwdriver waving.
Looks like someone may have been watching A Sound Of Thunder for next weeks episode WITH KIDS!!!! AAAAaaaarrrrrrgggghhhhh!!!

these are the things she has said so far that are intriguing

“I hope my boyfriend wasn’t too mean to you”

“He can be very mean sometimes. Except to me of course, because he loves me so much”

“I do like his new accent though. Think I might keep it”

“clara , my clara I have choses well”

      3. it sounds like she has met the doctor before
      4. she owns an ipad 🙂

      October 19th, 2014 - 12:30am

I think she’s a parallel Doctor. Think about it:
      – The Doctor Loves Himself
      – She said she’ll keep his accent (she’s Scottish (I think))
      – She said she is glad she chose Clara

      Who agrees???

The TARDIS was silver because that’s the ‘siege mode’ and the Doctor named the creatures the ‘Bonless’ before he sent them back to the second dimension

Not spectacularly amazing, but pretty darn good.
Enjoyable human people, and Capaldi was awesome as always. Mind you, Coleman was actually really good in this episode, good job. Also, not too complicated, so easy to follow. And of course, the monsters in CGI looked really awesome too!
But, it felt like it lacked something to make it a bit more… Dr. Who-ish. Not too sure what, but overall really quite good.

8/10. Similar to ‘Listen’, with the mystery and all that, but actually done well. Not the horrific cannibalised mess that Listen was. Original ideas, and executed well too, and surprisingly funny too!
Nest week looks…meh. School trip, and the return of Danny Beige. Hooray…

It was a really good concept and those mosters looked really creepy. Not entirely sure how the Doctor defeated them though? And being a railwayman at heart, it was really weird seeing something from the 1960’s being passed off as modern… But that’s a personal gripe!

It was good, good concept, good effects, BUT
Just like the last episode the writer gets the pacing wrong. The ending was too rushed, and the beginning was too slow. My mum and sister didn’t have a clue what was going on as it sped up too fast.
It had some great moments, but I wasn’t fond of the supports.
I think it could’ve been written a bit better because of the pace, but I did enjoy it.

Good monster, and well done Clara!

However, next week looks terrible. Aliens? Or just some trees?

Also Missy may be the woman in the shop…

I concur that Jamie Mathieson has written the most enjoyable scripts for a while. I enjoyed this week’s episode (and last week’s) a lot more than the earlier episodes in the series. I wouldn’t want him to become show runner; Moffat’s best work was before he took the helm, and I would rather retain Mathieson’s services as a great writer, rather than spoiling him as a show runner.
