October 19th, 2014 - 8:16amSmashing episode, really enjoy it! AND That scene with the TARDIS on the rails was Hilarious and so intense!

October 19th, 2014 - 5:02amWell-I liked it! I really liked it. And did anybody else see that the tiny Tardis cube in siege mode looked a LOT like the Moment? The BOX part not the conscience part. And I’m thinking that Missy could very well actually be the Moment. I know we’d all like to to have Billy Piper be the Moment, but hey! even the Moment could regenerate. The other theory I have about Missy is that she is the Tardis. Remember-the Tardis IS a woman and she is VERY picky about who touches her (the Doctor’s companions being the exceptions, as well as River Song) and also who rides IN her.

October 19th, 2014 - 8:19amWatched with my other half last night, really enjoyed episode. My other half thinks missy is some version of the doctor (somehow??). I agree with you whovianintx – I think she is the tardis

October 19th, 2014 - 7:58pmI thought the Tardis in siege mode looked a lot like the Pandorica.

October 20th, 2014 - 3:23pmMy dad and I both thought it looked like the Pandorica.

October 19th, 2014 - 3:08amI think it’s by far my favourite episode of 8 season. Maybe even of the whole Doctor Who series.
Last Goth Standing
October 19th, 2014 - 1:56amI have to say that Flatline was stupid, ridiculously stupid, astonishingly clever and amazingly well written… From the Addams family reference, which I loved, to the Doctor telling the my monster where to go, bringing back memories of Matt Smith’s Doctor and his challenge of the Atraxi… Jenna Coleman was excellent in her most masterful role yet. Unfaultable, totally unfaultable.
Last Goth Standing
October 19th, 2014 - 1:58amOf course I don’t mean my monsters… That was a typo.
Dalekparadigm2
October 19th, 2014 - 12:26amA very good episode. I was dreading this episode but it was not a let down one bit. It was great. The monsters were just terrifying. It was just great. I think Douglas Mackinnon is my favourite writer this series. Both of his episodes have been great!
The five doctors
October 18th, 2014 - 11:20pmJamie Mathison’s episodes were absolutely fantastic he brought the kind of theme back for me as he had a great mystery in a great location and great scripts he should definitely come back for series 9
Cyber10Dalek
October 18th, 2014 - 10:26pmIn my opinion this was a fantastic episode!I will admit I was initially worried Clara’s performance in this ep would be a bit of a let-down since she took the role of the Doctor but at least this wasn’t the case!I loved the idea of the Doctor being forced to attempt to guide Clara and the supporting characters, particularly Digby who I was very fond of,to safety. And to top it off a monster from 2 dimensions was a brilliant concept and it certainly paid off! These 3 last eps have been fantastic for me! Next week looks to be great as well with tigers and wolves and a forest in London! Also, any theories on what Missy could have been meaning at the end with “Clara I chose you well”?

October 18th, 2014 - 10:22pmAfter a run of 4 really good episodes it was back to meh for this one.
The episode felt somewhat disjointed for me. Very bitty and poor pacing.
The ideas were good but not very well executed (perhaps more about budget and time).
Liked the cgi 3d monsters.
Didnt like the supporting cast at all.
Good to see the Doctor coming into his show a bit more. Still abit too much of Clara for my liking (loved her in last weeks episode).
Loved the shrinking Tardis and the way the Doctor got it off the rails.
Too much sonic screwdriver waving.
Looks like someone may have been watching A Sound Of Thunder for next weeks episode WITH KIDS!!!! AAAAaaaarrrrrrgggghhhhh!!!
Jamie
October 18th, 2014 - 10:13pmAnother great episode.

October 18th, 2014 - 9:53pmI really want a 5inch Clara from this episode
the astronaut of death
October 18th, 2014 - 9:46pmok so what are everyone’s missy theories?
the astronaut of death
October 18th, 2014 - 10:01pmthese are the things she has said so far that are intriguing
“I hope my boyfriend wasn’t too mean to you”
“He can be very mean sometimes. Except to me of course, because he loves me so much”
“I do like his new accent though. Think I might keep it”
“clara , my clara I have choses well”
so come on guys lets see if we can work this out
the astronaut of death
October 18th, 2014 - 10:07pmthings we know so far
1. she is part of a organisation called 3W
2. she Is the gates keeper of the nether sphere or heaven or paradise
3. it sounds like she has met the doctor before
4. she owns an ipad 🙂
Drwho101
October 18th, 2014 - 10:15pmShe’s a new villian from his future allied with the Cybermen to destroy clara Oswald so she can get to the doctor
Dalekparadigm2
October 19th, 2014 - 12:30amI think she’s a parallel Doctor. Think about it:
– The Doctor Loves Himself
– She said she’ll keep his accent (she’s Scottish (I think))
– She said she is glad she chose Clara
Who agrees???
Sid Rat
October 19th, 2014 - 12:56amActually Dalekparadigm2,I’ve just re-read all of Missy’s statements and I think you could be onto something there. They would all make sense if that was the case. Unless Chip was healed and its actually Cassandra??
Last Goth Standing
October 19th, 2014 - 2:01amOne is extremely intrigued by Missy’s latest comment… One feels that the destination will more than justify the journey taken.

October 18th, 2014 - 9:46pmi liked it but a bit boring but it was ok
StetsonDoctor
October 18th, 2014 - 9:44pmWhy was it called ‘Flatline’? The only link I could see was the TARDIS about to be FLATTENED on the train LINE? ❓
the astronaut of death
October 18th, 2014 - 9:46pmwell the definition of flatline is die
example; he got exterminated and flatlined
Dalekparadigm2
October 19th, 2014 - 12:33amIt’s a reference to the creatures being 2D. They are made of flat lines (until they become 3D)

RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
October 18th, 2014 - 9:34pmAlso, who knew that the villains were called the Boneless? Was that in the ep?
Also, why did the TARDIS turn silver??
Anonymous
October 18th, 2014 - 11:40pmThe TARDIS was silver because that’s the ‘siege mode’ and the Doctor named the creatures the ‘Bonless’ before he sent them back to the second dimension
the astronaut of death
October 18th, 2014 - 9:34pmI felt it was also a slight taster in what a female doctor would be like and I liked it
Dalek Supreme
October 18th, 2014 - 9:26pmNot spectacularly amazing, but pretty darn good.
Enjoyable human people, and Capaldi was awesome as always. Mind you, Coleman was actually really good in this episode, good job. Also, not too complicated, so easy to follow. And of course, the monsters in CGI looked really awesome too!
But, it felt like it lacked something to make it a bit more… Dr. Who-ish. Not too sure what, but overall really quite good.
8/10. Similar to ‘Listen’, with the mystery and all that, but actually done well. Not the horrific cannibalised mess that Listen was. Original ideas, and executed well too, and surprisingly funny too!
Nest week looks…meh. School trip, and the return of Danny Beige. Hooray…
the eternal doctor
October 18th, 2014 - 9:26pmsorry have not posted sooner laptop updating
my faviroute episode of the series
Jammy2305
October 18th, 2014 - 9:20pmIt was a really good concept and those mosters looked really creepy. Not entirely sure how the Doctor defeated them though? And being a railwayman at heart, it was really weird seeing something from the 1960’s being passed off as modern… But that’s a personal gripe!
Generally it was an enjoyable episode!
Gallifrey Will Rise Again
October 18th, 2014 - 9:18pmSimply superb really enjoyed it. Very intriguing missy cameo at the end.
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
October 18th, 2014 - 9:18pmIt was good, good concept, good effects, BUT
Just like the last episode the writer gets the pacing wrong. The ending was too rushed, and the beginning was too slow. My mum and sister didn’t have a clue what was going on as it sped up too fast.
It had some great moments, but I wasn’t fond of the supports.
I think it could’ve been written a bit better because of the pace, but I did enjoy it.
Good monster, and well done Clara!
However, next week looks terrible. Aliens? Or just some trees?
Also Missy may be the woman in the shop…
the astronaut of death
October 18th, 2014 - 9:17pmI seriously think the person who wrote this episode and mummy on the orient express has the potential to be the next showrunner.
Trenzalore
October 18th, 2014 - 9:21pmFunnily enough I was thinking the same. There have been a lot of new writers this series so maybe he’s looking for potential new writers anyway…
Gallifrey Will Rise Again
October 18th, 2014 - 9:25pmMark gatiss is nigh on guaranteed to be the next showrunner. However his first two episodes have been brilliant thus he deserves to be given an opportunity to write some episodes for series 9.
Dalekparadigm2
October 19th, 2014 - 12:36amI have definitely enjoyed this writer’s work.
Sid Rat
October 19th, 2014 - 1:07amI concur that Jamie Mathieson has written the most enjoyable scripts for a while. I enjoyed this week’s episode (and last week’s) a lot more than the earlier episodes in the series. I wouldn’t want him to become show runner; Moffat’s best work was before he took the helm, and I would rather retain Mathieson’s services as a great writer, rather than spoiling him as a show runner.
The nethersphere
October 19th, 2014 - 1:06pmI’d like toby whithouse to be the next show runner
Michael
October 18th, 2014 - 9:16pmWonderful episode and great acting all round.
The Temporal Jelly Baby
October 18th, 2014 - 9:16pmThe scene with the TARDIS on the railway line was absolutely hilarious! 😀
Sid Rat
October 19th, 2014 - 1:08amAgreed. Loved the concept of the shrinking Tardis.
the astronaut of death
October 18th, 2014 - 9:14pmover all I really liked this episode I felt the story and characters were good and those monsters looked awesome and scary
I felt it was also a slight taster in what a female doctor would be like and I liked it
so over all a good episode 8/10
what did you think booboo?
booboo
October 18th, 2014 - 9:17pmnot one of my favourites
scary monsters, great idea, seemed a bit disjointed and rushed in places
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
October 18th, 2014 - 9:18pmI agree with Booboo

October 18th, 2014 - 9:20pmBooboo-I agree. For the first time this series, I felt let down and bored.

October 18th, 2014 - 9:13pmClara my Clara I have chosen u well… What does it mean? I think she might be Danny or The Rani or The Master or The Female Doctor?
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
October 18th, 2014 - 9:15pmOr the woman in the shop
Justyn
October 18th, 2014 - 9:17pmI thought about Missy being the woman in the shop. The Bells of Saint episode yes?
The Temporal Jelly Baby
October 18th, 2014 - 9:18pmHere’s a theory…Missy is the Doctor!!! Joking, obviously.
Owen
October 18th, 2014 - 9:20pmRight my Predictions..: The woman in the shop chose to give clara the number for the doctor thats why shes with him and she said Clara my Clara.. and i think shes also the wife of the master.
The Temporal Jelly Baby
October 18th, 2014 - 9:21pmOwen, what makes you think she’s the wife of the Master?
Owen
October 18th, 2014 - 9:24pmWell.. Think about it.. Missy means Mistress.. and thats the woman version of master.. 🙂
Dalek Supreme
October 18th, 2014 - 9:29pmTalking to my Whovian friend, we’ve come to the Conclusion Missy is some reincarnation of River Song. I really, *really* don’t want it to be, but it’s entirely possible.
Trenzalore
October 18th, 2014 - 9:29pmI’m thinking she’s a new character. To back up my theory Moffat in the new DWM says ‘… boasts the brilliant Michele Gomez as a brand new villain’ and later saying something about that he can have credit for the new character. Of course he may be lying, but we’ll find out in a few weeks 😀
StetsonDoctor
October 18th, 2014 - 9:13pmYuk, sorry but tonight was strange and boring. Not my kind of thing at all…
Doctor Stu
October 18th, 2014 - 9:11pmIt was actually quite good but it sounds a bit morbid but I’d have liked it if the monsters had actually killed more people. It was good but it kind of felt like a Sarah Jane adventures episode
The Silent Silent
October 18th, 2014 - 9:11pmI thought that was quite good.
The Silent Silent
October 18th, 2014 - 9:31pmNext week, The Doctor Does School Trips
