    Best episode so far 10/10.
Loved the jelly babies case and also ‘are you my mummy’ reference.
Had noticed when he was speaking to himself in his cabin his voice sounded like the 4th doctor. Uncanny.
Also nice to see the actress at the start who previously played miss hardaker in curse of fenric.

FINALLY.It has taken 8 episodes but THAT was Doctor Who.Capaldi became the Doctor tonight, gripping story, just the right amount of humour and suspense.l have been a harsh critic of this new season and honestly thought it was in trouble but if this standard can be maintained l will happily admit l was wrong.Note to Moffatt, more like this, less of everything you did before.

Agree. Capaldi finally became the doctor, in this magnificent episode. To me he channelled Hartnell, Troughton and Tom Baker – but into something more than all of them. If he can take this and build on it – he will become the best doctor of all time.

Best episode so far .I liked the early Pertwee look of the Doctors costume. I felt you really cared for the people who died in this episode.

Now that was a good episode. And it appears the voting seemed to think so as well. It’s the first one this series that I’ve given full marks to.

Maybe I’m just getting use to his more coarse nature, but there was also a slight caring side that crept out.

Good to know they didn’t make Frank Skinner’s character overtly comic as they have done in the past with other comedians involved in the show.

THE best episode of the series…no, the best since the reboot. Maybe the best ever but I haven’t watched all of the old ones yet. 10/10. THAT is what Doctor Who should be. Every week. Every episode. This scared the poop out of me. It will have scared the poop out of loads of kids. They thought they were safe but the behind of the sofa was just used again. Doctor Who has just returned. AMAZING!!!

    Who’s back!
Easily the best episode of the series, with my only complaint being the slow start, but the lat half hour made up for it twice over. My favourite thing about the episode has to be Gus, who for some reason remimded me of Portal’s GLaDOS. Good to see Clara being less centric ( not that I dislike her- but it is DOCTOR who) and for the story to both flow and make complete sense!
    9.5/10

Missy & danny could very well be connected. I think danny is definitely going to turn bad before the series reaches it’s conclusion.

Now then, I must confess that this was my favourite episode of the series so far. I haven’t had very much positivity about series 8 to date, but for the first time this series, I have enjoyed an episode. Sadly I still don’t feel that Capaldi makes a great doctor (my opinion and I know others will agree and disagree (and I do like Peter Capaldi as an actor)), but I did enjoy this episode. It felt more ‘Dr-Who ish’ and I thought the cast were great. My other half concurs too, so at least I know its not just me.

Oh wow, you guys done did good.
Genuinely, I’m impressed with this one!The best since Hide or Nightmare in Silver. Surprisingly clever, with a pretty decent twist, but a little rushed at the end with that. The Foretold looked pretty great too, a great use of practical effects.
Doesn’t quite make it to the ‘Favourites of all time evar’ list, but it is an honourable mention.
9/10. Next week looks…well. You know the heart attack stupidity from The Power of Three? Yeah, that, but with trippy CGI effects.

Loved it so much but a few questions:

    1) what exactly was the mummy?

    2) why was it killing people

    and……

Perkins started the clock after the mummy had already chosen the doctor as kts victim so the doctor got more than 66 seconds before he was going to die

    But overall I loved it

The Mummy (Foretold) was a soldier from some war. It was killing people because it thought the war was still on – no one told it the war had ended. Lastly, The woman who’s mum/nan died had her emotion taken from her and the doctor put it into himself. That gave him a few extra seconds to prep himself.

overall quite liked it, but two gripes.
a theme with some of these episodes (the caretaker) was that the beginning was too slow, and the ending and conclusion of the mummy’s past was way to rushed, i didn’t get half of it.
i wasn’t too happy about how it went with clara.
i don’t think she should’ve been in this one, and been thinking about stopping, which would slowly change in the next episode.
her deciding to continue within a split second defeated the point of the argument in kill the moon and her feeling throughout the episode.

there were great supports in this episode, and the setting was amazing
