S06E06 – Great episode, can’t wait to see the next but hey at the end of the movie when the doctor’s and Miranda’s ganger melted using the sonic screwdriver i would have thought the acid suit should not melted with Miranda seeing as she was not created wearing the suit. Why do some of the gangers melt leaving their clothes while others dont? Anyway anxiously waiting for the next!!:)

In S5 Ep The Lodger, the Tardis would not materialise properly and Doctor was left alone and discovered in the non existant Loft a ‘Tardi’ similar to the one we see in S6 Day of The Moon

In Series 6 The Doctors Wife, Idris said something about River being the only water in the forest. That implies that in the S5 episode in the forest where Amy was all alone she was already Flesh at that point. That episode was titled ‘Flesh & Stone’

In S5 ep Victory of the Daleks, The Doctor several times queried why Amy did not remember the Daleks, is that because she was already Flesh Amy?

In S6 Ep Impossible Astronaut If the Doctor that was killed was the real doctor then there should be another, later period, version of the Tardis sat parked somewhere. The Doctor that is shot could be a ‘Flesh’ doctor and is shot be the Real Doctor (hidden inside the space suit) because the Flesh copies are too good and actually have regenerative abilities, and so cannot co-exist with a real Timelord. Therefore no spare Tardis.

In S5 The 11th Hour the Doctor does question who Amy actually is and Why he was bought there. (IIRC) – does the who series 5 & 6 Arch actually revolve around who Amy actually is more than who River is, which is what we have fixated on?

I haven’t picked up any clues or pointers as to who the little regenerating Girl actually is. Has anyone got anything that they can add in this area? What have I missed?

That is my 4pence worth. I am sure that there is a lot more, but I really do enjoy an overarching storyline. It is clever writing, it makes me think far more about what is going on, and then little clues appear retrospectively like ‘fleash & stone’. I love it.

ok why did the little girl regearte? well i think in The Impossible Astronaut the space guy
(The Little Girl) must of killed a fresh Doctor too steel regeartion (for someone who?) or for her self maybe but we might find out some more in A Good Man Goes to War or we might find out in the series later but also when the space guy (The Little Girl) shot the fresh doctor i dont think she shot him i think she stolded regeartion to kill the fresh doctor and also could the woman in that hatch be a dreamlord

Something been niggling me for some time.

(The only water in the forest is the river)

Is this a reference to the Weeping Angels episode where Amy was all alone in the forest with here eyes closed?

Point being Amy might have been kidnapped during this episode and swapped for a “Ganger”. Leaving River being the only “Water in the forest”.

Human’s being 70% water and all that.

    Just a mad theory!

That Is A Reference To The Fact That Amy Told Human Doctor How He Died, But She Thought She Was Telling Flesh Doctor.

    • Anonymous

      June 1st, 2011 - 2:17pm

I think he knew about the pushing because the current Doctor is actually a Doctor from the future treading over his timeline to fix something. He also said “I never thought I’d say that again!” before going to the weather vane. lot’s of things have pointed to it.
Maybe this is what he came back to sort out!

What if Amy has always been a ganger, she didn’t remember her parents or anything at the beginning of Series 5!
What is Amy is River Song and a ganger was sent back to trap the Doctor?

Great episode and I’m loving the more complex sci-fi storylines. However, one gripe of this series so far – where are the monsters?

The Silence are great but then we have a human avatar doctor (black spot), a green smoke (doctor’s wife) and more human avatars (rebel flesh.) So with the exception of a green eyed Ood where’s the creative aliens, I’m starting to miss them.

Also I think that River Song is Amys daughter because theres been little clues through-out the series that Amys pregnant but in the doctors wife idris said the only water in the forest is the river and river song so yeah. 😀

At the beginning of The Rebel Flesh the gangers were just copies of the humans and they weren’t really alive. I think Amy was a ganger like that, and so, she wasn’t a seperate, individual human the Dr would feel guilty about killing. That’s why he killed her, and when he did the real Amy woke up in that white room.

So, Amy suspected she was pregnant right in the first episode and she saw that Eye Patch woman before she was taken by the Silence. I can’t wait for next week to find out the answers. What’s going on? Will the mid series finale end on a cliffhanger?

Amy Was In The White Room The Whole Time, But The Eye Patch Lady Was Just A Signal, A Signal Of What The Real Amy Was Seeing. If You Watch The Prequel, You’ll Find That There Putting A Certain ‘Child’ In A Prison, No-Body Seems To Like The Doctor As The Big Blue Man Says, If You Watch The Trailer For Ep 7, Look Behind The Black Man And You Will See That There Is What Looks Like The Same Symbol Which Was On River’s Jacket In The Time Of Angels/Flesh And Stone. We Are Expecting To See The Sontarans, Sillurians, And Cybermen In The Finale. Look At River At The Beginning Of The Trailer, What Is She Wearing? Who Is That Woman? What Is The Doctor Going To Do About The Fact That He Knows His Death? How Does Everything Fit Together?

    My speculation is this,
(NOTE: this is not a spoiler)
People who remember Human nature, the Doctor made himself human, well what is Amy and Rory had done the same. They are Time Lords on the run.
And the baby Amy is carrying is The Doctor.

Yeah. Just saw the trailer for next weeks episode there is a line where the doctor says “the baby is not a weapon” and some one else says “she will be” or something like that.

      So she must be River.

So Amy has a baby with Rory (hopefully Rory) which turns out to be Riversong, the Doctor and Riversong meet, fall in love and have a baby who is the little girl in the astronaut suit. River says she kills a good man which muust be the Doctor and so far the astronaut has killed the Doctor so River must be the astronaut and the little girl but then again the little girl regenerated and river cant regenerate because she’s human so therefore the little girl must be someone else. I cant keep up. I guess all will be revealed in 5 days.

The baby is a girl that is all that has been confirmed (well that and her name “Melody”). It’s not The Doctor, unless you got it the wrong way round and either Amy or Rory are the Doctor.

I agree. Very plodding with no substance except to set up the next episode.
Doctor fights for the gangers, then destroys amy without a second thought.

Not impressed with the season so far. 7 year old loves dr who, scared of every episode so far except drs wife.
too convoluted for a kids show. scrap the story arcs and stick to quality individual stories that stand on their own.

    • Jason

      May 30th, 2011 - 2:23pm

The gangers the Doctor fought for, were “an early version” of the technology. They came to life unintentionally.

I am guessing the ganger that Amy was, was a more advanced version that was not alive in its own right. This kind of ganger is what the company (Morpeth thingy) intended to make, and presumably did manage to make once they were aware of the “living problem” of the earlier versions.

That’s not actually what he says.
      He says;

“I even hear rumours about who’s child you’ve taken.
      Are you mad?
You know the stories about the Doctor, the things that man has done
“God help us if you’ve mad him angry!”

Never even implies it’s the Doctor’s child, just that taking the child would seriously p**s the doctor off.

    • The Dark Side of the Moon

Yes, she has been a ganger for at least the whole of this series…we’ll find out soon enough. The Doctor suspected it when his scanner was couldnt decide if she was pregnant or not (because the real Amy was, but her ganger wasnt) that is why he went to that place so he could figure out the origins of The Flesh…after that adventure, his supicions were confirmed so he destroyed Amy’s ganger…now, he and Rory will start searching for the real Amy.

    • doctor stu

      May 29th, 2011 - 10:09am

i think the Doctor and Riversong have a baby which is Amy, i then think that the regeneration gene was passed from the Doctor to Riversong and then to Amy who then had a baby with Rory who is the little girl in the impossible astronaut. thus allowing the little girl to regenerate. you might not make sense of that but who agrees or thinks its a good theory.

    • Nigel M

      May 29th, 2011 - 10:40am

When the Doctor was killed in The Impossible Astronaut they burnt this body on his orders because (quote from River) “there are whole empires out there that would rip this world apart for just one cell”.

I think the Silent got hold of “one cell” (the Doctor may not even remember them doing it) and created a baby with time-lord powers but they needed a human host to carry it.

On a separate note, does anyone else find it strange that the Doctor spent two episodes fighting for the gangers right to live then disintegrated the ganger Amy without a second thought ?

In ‘confidential’ it was said that Amy has been a ganger in all 6 episodes which means she must have been taken before the events right at the start of The Impossible Astronaut.
The Xmas special was set during Amy & Rory’s honeymoon and the S5 finale ended with their wedding so, unless she was taken during the unseen period between the events of Xmas and Impossible Astronaut, she was taken sometime during S5.. Is it possible that Rory married the ganger??
