god… the rebel flesh WAS scary. i never find doctor who monsters scary, but i couldnt sleep the night after i watched it
This one constantly reminded me of the hungry earth/cold blood:
The 2nd 2 parter
A remote place with only 5 people there, fighting a race of people who have a genuine claim to earth, who are adamant they are not monsters
Just when there looks to be a ray of hope a stupid middle aged woman comes along and
ruins everythng by electrocuting one of the “we are not monsters” people.
Apart from that a pretty good episode.
i only think the 1st two and the doctors wife were good

So far my fave eps from season 6 are The Day of the Moon,The curse of the Blackspot and The rebel Flesh. the episodes I don’t like are The Impossible Astronaut (it was still necessary to have this ep) and The Doctors Wife, it’s great season overall
well it’s possible, cos the sontarans are a clone race and the flesh in this is a sort of cloning thing so it is possible that the sontarans are trying to manipulate things for the doctor

Finally some agrees, this season is all about laying “traps” for the good doctor

The Doctor said in this episode that the flesh was “early technology” but when Amy questioned him he wouldn’t answer. Perhaps the flesh is how the Sontarans clone themselves only they use it on a planetary scale if I remember previous episodes ?

Great episode I love how it’s really complicated, who’s ganger and who not , it makes you think and I wonder what the Acid is for ? Can not wait for next week to the 2 doctors duke it out.
That was the Doctor who died, Canton confirmed it was not a clone or duplicate. It was the real one. Of course it could be the original dies and the show follows the Ganger in future.

They were discussing that on the Latest Whocast! I have actually wrote a scene between Amy and Rory about how that conversation might go.

They would never be able to replace the Doctor with a ganger! It would never work!
Great episode, and deliberately confusing.

do you know when DOCTOR WHO says it will be a scary episode, and i’m 14 and i’m passed the stage of DALEKS being scary, but those acid faced people, now that is what scary is, i jumped and though i tuned in to a horror film. š
Tonights was brilliant and scary mow I know why Matthew Graham said put a warning before it started but all in all brilliant episode. Next week episode The Almost People definetly not missisng that one.
It was brilliant, enjoyed the concept and ideas presented, also it was greatly executed, the atmosphere, tension and production values get across what they needed to and do very well. Matt Smith shines again, showing a more toned down seriousness without being overly comedic in this one, which is a nice middle ground. Karen didn’t really do much in this episode other than try and support Rory, and that was a bit of a shame. However Arthur Darvill was exceptional in this episode, this is an episode that shows him developing from the timid and clumsy character that we’ve been seeing since the start to an independent and strong character capable of solving things by himself , he really starts to gain a footing as a real companion in this episode, I love that about his performance in this episode, it’s a great development, I hope we see a lot more of it throughout the rest of the season.
The pacing however was little slow, and I could have walked in and out of the room at any point throughout the episode without losing anything from it, it wasn’t as crammed with information and events too look out for compared to episodes 1,2 and 4, everything was obvious and dots could be joined in the plot, it was simple but effective. The main issue I have is the over reliance of CGI, some of the Ganger’s expressions, in particular the Ganger that attacked Rory in the toilets was pretty laughable, I could see the false cheesiness of it, if the CGI was under used and prosthetics were more prominent, it would have been a lot more effective.
Other than that I loved it, it was standard Doctor, not it’s best but certainly one of the better ones. 8/10
Woah thats quiet a review well done man, i think you summed it up for us all and thats Exactly how I felt , it was straight forward story with a beginning, middle and (Almost) End, I give 7/10 great episode can’t wit for part 2. š

Scary and interesting story! The doppelgangers were interesting!Any idea which castle that was filmed in?looks interesting, wonder about double of the doctor?
I knew it, the Doctors Doppleganger will be the Doctor that will get killed in the first episode, probably by River Song as she stated that she killed a good man. The same Doctors memories etc.
