What Happened To Rory’s Dad – Video Now Live

What Happened To Rory’s Dad, Brian Williams?

From the official site…

Rory’s dad, Brian Williams, only appeared in two episodes but swiftly established himself as a favourite amongst Doctor Who’s audience. After Amy and Rory’s heart-breaking departure in The Angels Take Manhattan we received many emails asking what happened next to Brian. Did he ever find out what took his son and daughter-in-law? If so, how? And would Brian – and viewers – ever learn more about Amy and Rory’s life after the Doctor?

A special scene was written by Chris Chibnall that revealed some of the answers but sadly, the sequence was never shot. However, we’re happy to announce that we’ll be bringing you the scene tomorrow. Using animated storyboards and a voice-over specially recorded by Arthur Darvill, we’ll discover more about Brian and the Ponds, post-Angels.

It begins with Brian alone, doing what he once told the Doctor must be done – watering the plants. But his life is about to change forever…

Doctor Who’s Executive Producer, Caro Skinner, said, ‘We’re delighted we can present this lovely scene written by Chris Chibnall. People took Rory’s dad, Brian, to their hearts very quickly, so it’s fitting we can give the character a degree of closure in this poignant piece.’

Also, what if the weeping angel that sent Amy and Rory back in time is angel Bob before the events on Alpha Metraxis!

    It is so sad because:
    1. Amy could never have children any way,
    2. they are stuck in new york and can’t go back home (and)
    3. Amy, Rory and the Doctor will never be able to see Rory’s dad again Brian.
but there is one positive thing that Brian will have a grandson which is older than Brain which is little bit weired but thats life with the Doctors so I think it turn’s out preety well at the end.
I have been a Doctor Who fan since the show started again in 2005 iand I also think the show is amazing and i allways whatch it.
When I just Whatched that Brain thing which was not shot I burt into tears because imagen if you were a oearent and that hapend to you you would be really upset wouldn’t it if you dont know what I mean just look at it in Brain’s shoes ok sprry if it was a bit long but i just had a lot to say and quite a bit to point thanks for your time i really really aprecate it because I think it is very important.
i hope you are all amazing doctor who fans.
love you lots Megan Taylor xxxxx

Sorry to post it here, I know it’s random, but roumour has it that the (shortly enetring production) second series of Wizards vs Aliens will include an adaptaion of ‘The thirteenth floor’, an unused script for SJA!

So glad Rory got a proper send off at last. I actually think it’s better this way than having it in the episode, it’s more like an epilogue than part of an episode.

Also Rory mentioned Anthony had a family album of Amy, Rory and him. They could’ve shown that, even if it was just drawings.
