What Would You Like For The 50th Anniversary

What Would You Like To See For The 50th Anniversary

With the days and months ticking away to the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who what would you like to see happen to celebrate this momentous occasion.

A multi Doctor Story? Past Doctors and Companions playing other parts? anything as long as it involves Paul McGann or Doctor Who street parties perhaps?

I would have a multi doctor story with all the surviveing actors and the dead ones replaced with cgi. the daleks cybermen sontarans ice warriors and the yetis would be in it. the master would also feture. it would a a huge budget and lots of guest stars

They’re all wonderful people but their days of dressing up and being the Doctor on-screen are way past, but they’re great at voicing the parts, so maybe we could have some past-Doctor chat,

but the only actors who should really be the past Doctors onscreen and in the flesh, are Paul McGann Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant, but Christopher won’t do it, I don’t think. 😯

I’ve always thought of a multi doctor and companion story with them all against the daleks but some people don’t want that so how about a multi doctor and companion story but none of them meet. so all the doctors with companions in little adventures against different monsters.

That first thing you mentioned has already been done, the Series 4 finale.

And the same kind of story in the Eighth Doctor story “To the Death”.

I think that’s like the Five Doctors, what I really want is Doctors 10 and 8 back in action and as for the older Doctors, we could not ahve the actors physicly appearing because they have aged since then and it will not be right, but their voice work and their Doctors essence would be an idea. 💡

What would you like for the 50th anniversary ?

Well that’s easy, but I am absolutely serious about this, The Eighth Doctor in his timewar years (see the outfit he wore in Armageddon 2010) so that will be a multi Doctor story, with the 10th Doctor David Tennant aswell,

because if the Doctor from his timewar years is involved then it will be important for them to solve whatever the conundrum is, and I would like to see him involved because he was always dealing with the grief of the Timewar.

It will be the biggest thing EVER in Dr Who.

An episode set in Australia! No offence to Americans, but Doctor Who and Australia have been partnered for the full 50yrs!!! We deserve an episode by now!

Also, the return of the ponds, I don’t know or care how, but they are the doctors family and should be there for the big 50th.

I will be dissapointed if there is not a multi Doctor story with Paul McGann’s Doctor.

Whoever says “We can’t have him back because he looks different, he won’t wear the wig, his cosutme, blablalba ” is just plain ignorant, he can be the 8th Doctor in his later years, he even has a new look that we saw in Armageddon 2010, it makes sense ! ❗

i think what should happen is that the doctor receives a distress call from someone but he dose not know who it is. but it turns out to be the master and he has made the zygons, daleks, sontrans, cybermen, silence, weeping angels, vashta nerada and the evil ood. and he recruits the eight doctor where we get to see him regenerate into the ninth doctor, the tenth doctor and the eleventh doctor. the companions are Amy and Rory (if possible, river song, captain jack harkness, the girl in the fireplace, Martha Jones, Wilfred Mott, Donna noble, Craig owens, k-9, leela and Susan. and this is were we get to see the fall of the eleventh and the fields of trenzilore and the question get answered and we get to learn the doctors name as well as the 11Th doctor regenerates although it would be sad to see matt smith go.

I’d like to see the Daleks and Davros or the Cybermen(As they appeared in Earthshock), the Time Lock is broken and Rassilon, the Time Lords, and the Master returning, and definately multi-Doctors, Especially if the 7th appears. I’m not sure if they could have the previous Doctors without a good excuse for them being aged. And maybe Sarah Jane’s funeral. To give Elizabeth Sladen some tribute like they did with Nicholas Courtney.

I’m not a fan of multi-Doctor stories, they’re terribly cliched. I think the series should be massive, include many returning monsters from each Doctors tenure and then end with a nostalgic one parter where the Doctor revisits Trotters Lane on the day when he took Barbara and Ian. Or The Master could try and manipulate time and try to change what happened when the Doctor took Ian and Barbara to ensure that he’s a different person to who he is today?

i thought that on the 50th anniversary, bbc 1 should put out a poll for 1 story per doctor which has no missing episodes. this is followed by the 3 annversary specials, the three doctors, the five doctors and dimensions in time, all leading up to the special!
p.s. they cant show the final 1st doctor steory, episode 4 is missing.

I would love a multi Doctor story, with all the Doctors (with the way video editing is going they could put the first 3 Doctors in) i would alos love to see the Time war and how the Doctor fought in it.

we should also see the 8th Doctor regerate.

what would be amazing is that such a bad situation happens Maybe another alliance. that the Doctor has to call on all his other selfs in order to save the Day.

it would also be cool to find out that maybe with have a story arc and at the end we find out that the main villan is the Doctor (from another world)

in other words make it amazing.

they should make series 8 have an episode that follows each doctor individually up to a point where they all meet and do something epic (makes sense with 13 episodes per series)-but then each one would look a bit old

And I also want a TV appearance for Bernice Summerfield (I mean just imagine Benny and River meeting!!)

I would liek to see some of the classic Doctors and companions, although not neccessarily all at the same time. If there is another full series in 2013 for the anniversary then they should use it and not cram everything into the actual date itself.

And no Time War. It’s a stupid idea that should never have happened in the first place.

Multi-Doctor Episode (Matt Smith, David Tennant, Chris Eccleston, & Paul McGann)
Why: There was the 3 doctors, the 5 doctors & the 2 doctors, so why not make an episode titled “the 4 doctors”? I chose those 4 since they’re the more current doctors while the rest of the are like +60 years old (despite the fact that bringing back Tom Baker, Peter Davidson, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy would be a fantastic idea)

    Time War Setting
Why: Needs to be seen, explained, and thoroughly examined (and of course see the regeneration from 8 to 9

Multi-Master (John Simms, Derek Jacobi, Eric Roberts, and Benedict Cumberbach as master no.7)
Why: if the anniversary does take place in the time war then the master(s) deserve a role in the episode! If the Doctor can have many incarnations work together, why can’t the master?

Companions: River Song, Captain Jack Harkness, Jenny, Romana III, K9, Leela, and Susan II
Why: River Song w/11, Captain Jack w/10, Romana & Susan received a telepathic call from the Time Lords, and Leela & K9 would still be on gallifrey while the 8th doctor received the message also and had to leave his companion.

The Main Villains: The Rani II, Rasillon & the High Council, Omega, The Meddling Monk, the War Chief, Daleks, Davros, Dalek Emperor, & Dalek Supreme.
Why: Caused the Time War to start in the first place?

Side Monsters/villains: Classic Cybermen, Sontarans, Silurians, SeaDevils, Autons, the Ice Warriors, Draconians, the Yeti, Soldiers (brought by the war chief) and the Valeyard (brief cameo)
Why: to either help the time lords from defeating the Daleks or using them so the doctor & co. won’t interfere with the time war.

Moffat wrote in ‘Time Crash’ that if more than one doctor met, then the older one would short out the time difference of the younger one making them look older -I think, so having past doctors wouldn’t be such a problem

dont think they could ever replace the Doctors with other actors but having some family play a part as a nod is a great idea, there is Sean Pertwee as well

    • TJmov

      April 22nd, 2012 - 10:13pm

they replaced William Hartnell in the five doctors which I think was a mistake but with the make up team they have now they could make Sean Pertwee look quite convincing as the third doctor

Well, that makes all my ideas look horrible. But Tom Baker, Peter Davison, and Colin Baker could still play the part. Especially Tom Baker, because he’s the most famous doctor to people who aren’t fans, and he essentially came up with the concept. Plus, Chris isn’t coming bacl. Apart from that, 🙂

For the 50th Anniversary, how about a story re-boot like what happened with Batman, Star Trek, Amazing Spiderman and Smallville. It would involves the current Doctor in sort of crisis perhaps a similar story line to the keys of time. Could be anything really!! To solve the crisis, it would require the Doctor to remember his early beginnings. His development as a child and as a TimeLord. His marriage. How he stole the Tardis with his granddaughter, Susan. Why he ended up in Totters Lane. This does mean that we have to have new actor playing the Doctor, the Master and Susan. This would be a multi-time story with some of the former doctors and companions involved. Throw in Torchwood operations throughout the Doctors lives with Captain Jack appearing from time to time.
