Looks official enough although yet to be confirmed in any BBC press release.
From BBC programmes… Series 5 Adventures in time and space with the Eleventh Doctor and his companion Amy Pond.
The Eleventh Hour:

I think Matt’s sonic is a bit bulky . I like David’s sonic more because it’s more slik.
