Torchwood Miracle Day Full Trailer
Torchwood Miracle Day Full Trailer
There is another Starz trailer on youtube but this has been blocked for UK viewers and there is nothing coming from the BBC at present so we thought we would join the band wagon!
Video source www.sfx.co.uk
Torchwood begins with a day when nobody dies. All across the world, nobody dies. And then the next day, and the next, and the next, people keep aging, they get hurt and sick, but they never die. The result: a population boom, overnight.
With all the extra people, resources are finite. It’s said that in four month’s time, the human race will cease to be viable. But this can’t be a natural event – someone’s got to be behind it.

May 24th, 2011 - 5:22pmWho are you talking to? Quick! Alert the presses: A multinational media network has promoted a show as their own, and some dude named “Doctor Who 10” has a message for America…
And who knows what’s a big show in the UK? (Aside from The Vicar of Dibley and the royal wedding, that is.)

But honestly, that burnt man? EEEEWWWWW…
The Dark Side of the Moon
May 24th, 2011 - 7:40amYep…probably becuase they desperatly trying to find enough non Americanized scenes to make a UK trailer from so not to put off UK viewers. If I wanted an American styled showed I’d watch the tonnes of dross that gets aired on Sy-Fy, FX and Channel 5. Torchwood was successful BECUASE it kept a Britsh feel to it. I’d rather not have a SERIES (not season) 4 if its going to be a mainly US production….thank god RTD left before he ruined DW.

May 24th, 2011 - 7:25amBut the have there own complete sections!

May 24th, 2011 - 7:24amStarz have now had the one trailer knocked on youtube that everyone in the uk was linking to (including some very big sites) and made their own trailer unavailable in the UK – in other words they are doing everything they can to stop people in the UK seeing it which considering this was supposed to be a co production isn’t very good and isn’t doing them any favours.

Fox Mulder
May 24th, 2011 - 2:14amThe less trailers the more Hype and intrigue we will have, I mean we don’t even know if the treat will be alien or not. It’s a great campaign and makes you exited but it did take them too long to show this trailer I admit but it’s here so let’s bask in it’s EPIC Glory
Fox Mulder
May 24th, 2011 - 2:10amIt better have something to with Aliens
Fox Mulder
May 24th, 2011 - 2:09amWhat a name to use for posting something, it’s the longest name I’ve seen, but it commemorates the grate late miss Sladen

Fox Mulder
May 24th, 2011 - 2:07amWhy is everyone moaning on and on about the Americanization of Torchwood, if it wasn’t for STARZ there would be no Torcwood season 4 , dont be so upset over this It’s going to be soooo EPIC it’s Bill Pullman VS John Barrowman two great actors from both sides of the pond 🙂 and they both have experience in kicking Alien Ass on screen lol 🙂 Can’t wait.
The Dark Side of the Moon
May 24th, 2011 - 12:34amWell from that trailer I would say that is the death of Torchwood – its gone all glitz and show and no substance (i.e. Hollywood). American production and American cast with the token “Brit with attitude” in an attempt to keep the UK fans interested…there is a place for this kind of production and it’s called America…this is not what British Sci-fi is about.

May 23rd, 2011 - 9:41pmThis trailer is i think aimed at the American audience, i like it but expect more UK stuff soon, it was filmed here as well, I’m sure it will be fine
in memory of Liz Sladen
May 23rd, 2011 - 9:35pmthis looks amazing just there seems to be no connections to the past of torchwood which made it so great (except for jack and qwen) it looks to american …. i dont think it will be the same 🙁
booboo
May 23rd, 2011 - 9:33pmwe are very disappointed here at the lack of trailers etc from the BBC. Starz have released loads of info/images, interviews and now a trailer but they have blocked it in the UK. doesn’t seem right some how
John
May 23rd, 2011 - 9:09pmUm … I think they are going to miss everything “British” that made Torchwood so great. (I’m American)
I’m not saying I won’t watch it, it just seems a little “off”.
Mr Pond
May 23rd, 2011 - 8:54pmWell it looks great but how about some UK promotion stuff and trailers
