Brand New The Name of The Doctor Promotional Images

With thanks to BBC pictures…

Clara receives a letter summoning her to a mysterious meeting, where she is given a message for the Doctor.

The meaning is uncertain, but when an enemy strikes the Time Lord is left with no choice but to travel to the one place in time and space he should never go – into a deadly trap that threatens to unravel his past, present and future.

Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman star in what promises to be a thrilling climax, with Alex Kingston returning as River Song

Perhaps this episode is where the Doctor and River Song really get married hence the name of the Doctor.

I’ve really enjoyed looking at these pictures, and i usually like reading about spoilery type stuff- however, i find it really odd that the bbc, after sending out a statement to the customers who received the series 7 part 2 blu ray discs early, asking them not to spoil the surprise for all the other fans who are yet to watch it, they virtually give the game away themselves with these pictures?!? Very odd?

Interesting thing to see in the burning planet photo is whether the tardis in the picture has that st-johns mark on the front.

It would tell us whether it is a current Tardis or a leap-back too the past and whether the war could be prevented, bring back a fully fledged Gallifrey? YES PLEASE 😀

I hope she just appears every now and again, not several times a series, she was great in TATM. If she stays like that I hope she stays but not appear as often!

Prey Rassilon it is, I’m well fed up with her, there mystery of ‘Who is River Song ?’ is well and truly OVER and done with, so why does she keep appearing from time to time know I have no idea.

Maybe Moffat knows she gets on the nerves of most fan’s like me and you, and her uses her just to get on our nerves.

Well it seems to work driving us up the wall – DAMN YOU MOFFAT !!!!!.

  • DOCTOR WHO ONE

    May 17th, 2013 - 12:00pm

Oops, I ment to say ‘No white window frames’.

  • DOCTOR WHO ONE

    May 17th, 2013 - 12:00pm

Now it’s either a mistake seeing the Tardis in space with no window frames, or I’m guessing we are seeing Gallifrey and the Tardis in space prior to the Time War, or perhaps seeing the Tardis in space outside of Gallifrey, and the 8th Doctor is perhaps looking at his homeworld through the doors [which are facing towards Gallifrey] one last time before blowing it up to hopefully end the Time War.

    Just a thought or two.

I sure have missed the Doc’s visits to Gallifrey. Always wanted to see it properly in all it’s grandeur with buildings & statues etc, instead of a couple of tacky cheap corridors which was all that could be afforded. Now hopefully we will. nice
